초급 한국어 학습자를 위한 대중가요 활용 한국어 교육 요구분석

Abstract

본 연구는 초급 수준의 한국어 학습자들을 위해 대중가요를 활용하여 효과적으로 한국어를 교육할 수 있도록 한국어 교사와 초급 학습자들의 요구를 분석하고, 그들이 선호하는 대중가요와 교육 방법 등을 알아 보고 지도 방안을 제시하는 데 목적이 있다. 1장에서는 연구의 목적 및 필요성을 설명하기 위하여 K-pop이 전 세계적으로 인기가 높아지면서 한국어 학습에 대한 수요가 높아지고 있는 현상에 대하여 설명하였고, 노래라는 매체를 활용하여 한국어를 교육하는 것이 효과적이라고 주장하는 선행연구들을 살펴보았다. 그리고 대중가요 및 K-pop을 활용한 한국어 교육과 관련한 선행연구들을 확인하고 이와 같은 교육 방법이 중요하다고 강조되었으나, 다양한 수준으로 연구가 이뤄지지 않았다는 점을 확인하였다. 또 대중가요를 활용한 한국어 교육의 요구분석을 진행한 선행연구를 살펴보고 학습자 및 교사의 요구분석이 필요함을 확인하였다. 2장에서는 한류의 확산과 한국어 교육에 대한 이론적 배경을 알아보기 위해 K-pop과 대중가요의 개념을 정리하고 두 가지를 여러 측면에서 구분하였다. 또 대중가요를 활용한 한국어 교육이 효과적인 교육 방법이 된다는 것과 이를 위해 선정되어야 하는 대중가요의 기준에 관한 이론적 배경을 정리한 후, 이를 바탕으로 초급 학습자들을 위해 활용할 수 있는 곡들을 제시하였다. 그리고 학습자와 교사의 요구분석을 진행하기에 앞서 요구분석의 개념과 방법을 정리하였다. 3장에서는 연구 대상과 연구 도구를 정리하였다. 교사를 대상으로 하는 심층 면담의 문항을 설계하기 위해 조사 내용과 세부 항목을 정리하였고, 학습자를 대상으로 하는 설문조사를 실시하기 위해 조사 내용과 세부 항목을 정리하여, 각각의 문항을 설계하기 위한 분석 방법에 대해서 기술하였다. 4장에서는 요구 조사의 결과를 분석하여 각 세부 항목별로 교사 면담의 결과를 정리하여, 현장에서의 경험을 토대로 초급 학습자를 대상으로 대중가요를 활용한 한국어 교육이 향후에 나아가야 할 방향을 알아보았고, 학생 설문의 결과를 토대로 대중가요를 활용한 한국어 교육에 관한 학습자의 의견도 살펴보았다. 5장에서는 요구 조사를 분석한 것을 토대로 하여 대중가요를 활용하여 초급 한국어를 가르치기 위한 언어 영역별 지도 방안을 제시하였고, 2장에서 제시한 곡들을 활용하는 영역별 활동 방안을 제시하였다. 6장에서는 연구를 요약하고 본 연구가 가지는 의의를 살펴보았다. 그리고 연구의 한계점을 밝히고 제언을 하여 마무리 하였다. 본 연구는 한국어 학습자의 주요 동기가 되는 학습 방법인 ‘노래를 활용한 언어교육’을 연구하고자 하였고, 특히 중・고급에 국한 되었던 이전 연구와는 달리, 초급 학습자를 대상으로 한 새로운 시각을 제시하고자 하였다. 초급 학습자들은 언어적 기초를 다지는 중요한 단계에 있으며, 그들이 언어를 더 흥미롭게 배울 수 있는 방안을 모색하는 것이 중요하므로, 이와 같은 연구를 하였다는 점에서 의의가 있다. 본 연구에서 진행된 요구분석을 바탕으로 하여, 초급 학습자를 대상으로 한 '노래를 활용한 언어 교육'은 언어 학습에 기여할 뿐만 아니라 학습자들의 흥미와 참여도를 높일 수 있는 유효한 수업 전략임을 확인할 수 있을 것으로 기대한다. 또한 본 연구를 계기로 하여 대중가요를 활용한 한국어 수업 방법이 더욱 연구 및 설계되어, 향후 한국어 교육에 발전이 있기를 기대하는 바이다.;The purpose of the study is to analyze the demands of Korean language teachers and beginner learners to effectively use popular songs in teaching Korean at the beginner level. In Chapter 1, the global popularity of K-pop and the increasing demand for Korean language learning are discussed. The use of songs as a medium for language education is emphasized based on previous studies. Despite the recognition of the importance of utilizing popular songs, research at various proficiency levels is found to be lacking. Chapter 2 delves into the theoretical background of the spread of the Korean Wave (Hallyu) and its implications for Korean language education. Distinctions between K-pop and popular songs are clarified, and criteria for selecting songs for effective language education are outlined. The chapter also introduces the theoretical foundations of needs analysis before conducting the analysis of teacher and learner demands. Chapter 3 details the research subjects and tools, explaining the design of in-depth interviews for teachers and a survey for learners. It discusses the research content, sub-items, and the analysis methods for designing each questionnaire. Chapter 4 analyzes the results of the needs analysis, summarizing the outcomes of teacher interviews and exploring the future direction of using popular songs in teaching Korean to beginners. Student survey results are also examined to understand learner opinions on utilizing popular songs in Korean education. In Chapter 5, language area-specific teaching methods using popular songs for beginners are proposed based on the analysis of the needs assessment. Additionally, activity plans for each language area utilizing the songs introduced in Chapter 2 are presented. Chapter 6 provides a conclusion summarizing the research, highlighting its significance, acknowledging limitations, and offering suggestions for future research. This study contributes a new perspective by focusing on beginner learners, an essential stage for laying linguistic foundations, and is expected to confirm the effectiveness of 'language education using songs' in enhancing interest and participation. The hope is that this research will stimulate further development in the field of Korean language education using popular songs.
