프랙탈을 응용한 도자 인테리어 제품 연구

Abstract

오늘날의 시대는 과학의 발달과 정보의 발달, 인스타그램(Instagram)이나 SNS 같은 다양한 콘텐츠를 통한 공유로 인해 소비양식에 많은 변화를 보여준다. 이러한 양상 속에서 주거환경 또한 시대의 흐름에 맞는 새롭고 독특한 공간들이 생겨나기 시작했으며 주거 인테리어(interior) 제품에 있어서도 기존의 대량생산 위주의 획일적인 상품보다는 개인의 요구에 맞는 개성 있는 작품들이 선호되고 있다. 주거공간의 역할이 중요해진 만큼 주거공간은 단지 생활만을 위한 소극적인 공간이 아닌 감성과 소통하고 사유할 수 있는 공간으로 변화해야 한다. 따라서 연구자는 주거공간의 다변화에 맞춰 현대인들이보다 실용적이고 창의적인 개인의 개성을 연출할 수 있는 도자 인테리어(interior) 제품을 제시하고자 한다. 도자는 식기부터 화병 같은 소품, 벽을 꾸밀 수 있는 타일에 이르기까지 그 쓰임이 매우 방대하다. 또한 도자는 주거공간에서 인테리어(interior) 제품으로 사용함에 있어 재료 특유의 편안한 빛깔로 사람들에게 심리적인 안정감을 주고 어떠한 공간에서도 조화를 이루며 흥미와 호기심을 유발한다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 도자를 활용하여 네 가지의 인테리어 제품을 제작하여 독창적이고 창의적인 도자 인테리어(interior) 제품의 제작 가능성을 제시하고자 한다. 연구자가 제시할 인테리어(interior) 제품은 기존의 역할에 간접조명이라는 한 가지 기능을 더 추가하여 활용도를 높였으며 도자기의 깨지기 쉬운 단점을 보완하기 위한 일환으로 플랜트(Plant)의 전 부분과 테이블의 마감처리를 금속과 Ecopoxy를 활용하여 융합하였다. 이는 제품의 쓰임에 있어서의 단점을 보완하는 측면과 최근 신소재나 컴퓨터 등 첨단기술을 응용하여 융합하는 테크노 예술(Techno-art)에 대한 시도라 할 수 있다. 주거인테리어(interior)제품의 디자인에 있어서는 프랙탈이론을 조형적 관찰을 통하여 디자인의 형태로 활용하였는데 그 중 프랙탈의 생성원리인 비선형성, 무작위성, 자기 유사성, 무한성과 연속성의 조형적 특징을 인테리어(interior) 제품 네 가지에 구현하여 창의적인 디자인을 유도하였다. 위와 같은 연구는 프랙탈의 조형적 요소를 바탕으로 사람들의 미적 욕구의 충족을 위하여 예술품을 기능성 이외의 시각적으로 쓰일 수 있는 인테리어(interior) 제품을 제작하는데 중점을 두고 있다. 또한 인테리어(interior) 도자 제품을 제작함에 있어 도자의 가치를 확장시키고 예술로서의 영역을 넓혀 도자에 대한 무한한 가능성을 시도해 보고자 한다.;This study aims to present a unique and creative way to make ceramic interior products more convenient to use in modernized living spaces by applying fractal shapes. In order to remove the prejudice that ceramic products are fragile and difficult to use in living spaces, we categorized ceramic interior products into 'lighting', 'wall decoration', 'table', etc. and explored their possibilities as products that combine practicality and beauty for users to use more conveniently. In addition, by fusing ceramics with metal and ceramics with 'Ecopoxy', we aimed to express the dramatic beauty of the harmony between ceramics and other materials, and added functionality so that one product can perform more than one function. The interior products created in this study include a plant light, a wall clock, a jewelry holder, and a table light. Among these four products, the 'Light that functions as a table' is a large-sized object, and due to the limitations of the existing drain casting method, the researchers tried the drain casting method using 'Valve' to confirm the possibility of productization for large-sized objects. The researcher expects that the irregular deformation of fractals and geometric natural forms will serve as a medium to improve the emotional atmosphere of family life and the relationship between objects and people in combination with ceramic interior products.
