This thesis focuses on the systematic review of the existing literature on the influence of environmental pollution - air dust, water, heavy metal pollution, and chemical pesticides – on women's health using the case of the Aral Sea area, the Republic of Karakalpakstan. The Autonomous Republic of Karakalpakstan is considered the most disadvantaged region of Uzbekistan with unfavorable climate and socio-economic conditions. The main objective of the paper is to explore the main findings and outcomes of environmental catastrophes on local female health and describe factors on why women can be more vulnerable to negative consequences. The study also explores the consequences of local environmental pollution on the socioeconomic indicators within the study area. The relevant studies were searched and selected through the databases. The selected papers were reviewed and organized into two significant sections that discussed General Health effects and their impact on the Reproductive Health of women. Overall, during the systematic review of the original papers, interviews, and international reports on the mentioned topic, it was found that there is a considerable link between local women’s health and the environmental conditions, especially, with the problem of drinking water and increased salinity, and air pollution that have a severe negative influence on women’s health causing risk of breast cancer, respiratory diseases, malnutrition and anemia, and reproductive complications.;본 논문은 환경오염(공기먼지, 물, 중금속오염, 화학살충제)이 여성의 건강에 미치는 영향을서술한 기존 문헌들을 카라칼팍스탄 공화국의 아랄해 지역 사례를 통해 체계적으로 검토한 것이다.
