Abstract
This descriptive survey study is intended to provide basic data on human resource management and patient safety in the field of nursing by identifying the factors influencing nurses’attitudes on job rotation, professional self-concept, and organizational commitment to patient safety nursing activities. to provide basic data on nursing human resource management and patient safety by identifying the factors influencing nurses’ attitude on job rotation, professional self-concept, and organizational commitment to patient safety nursing activities. The subjects of the study were 120 nurses with more than one year’s experience working at a general hospital in Seoul. Nurses’attitudes on job rotation, professional self-concept, organizational commitment, and patient safety nursing activities were measured using online surveys, and data were collected from November 1 to 22, 2022. The collected data were analyzed using the IBM SPSS 28.0 program. The subjects’ general characteristics and work-related characteristics, nurses’ attitudes on job rotation, professional self-concept, organizational commitment, and patient safety nursing activities were analyzed by descriptive statistics using real numbers and percentages, and both mean and standard deviations. An independent t-test and ANOVA were used to analyze differences in nurses’attitudes on job rotation, professional self-concept, organizational commitment, and patient safety nursing activities according to the general characteristics of the subjects, and Scheffé’s test was employed for post-test. The correlation between nurses’attitudes on job rotation, professional self-concept, organizational commitment, and patient safety nursing activities was analyzed by Pearson’s correlation coefficients, and Hierarchical multiple regression analysis was performed to confirm the factors influencing patient safety nursing activities
