어머니의 놀이신념과 유아의 행복

Abstract

본 연구의 목적은 어머니의 놀이신념과 창의적 가정환경, 유아의 놀이성 및 행복 간 관계를 분석하고, 어머니의 놀이신념이 유아의 행복에 미치는 영향을 창의적 가정환경과 유아의 놀이성이 매개하는지 살펴보는 것이다. 이를 위하여 만 3~5세 자녀를 둔 어머니 233명을 대상으로 질문지법을 사용해 자료를 수집하였다. 수집된 자료는 SPSS 27.0 프로그램을 활용하여 상관관계 분석을 실시하였고, SPSS PROCESS macro 4.1 프로그램을 활용하여 연속다중매개 분석을 실시하였으며, 간접효과의 유의성을 검증하기 위해 부트스트래핑(Bootstrapping) 방법을 실시하였다. 본 연구의 주요 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 어머니의 놀이지지신념은 유아의 행복에 직접적인 영향을 미쳤으나, 학습중심신념은 직접적인 영향을 미치지 않았다. 둘째, 창의적 가정환경은 어머니의 놀이지지신념과 유아의 행복 간의 관계를 부분매개하였으며, 학습중심신념과 행복 간의 관계를 완전매개하였다. 셋째, 유아의 놀이성은 어머니의 놀이지지신념과 유아의 행복 간의 관계를 부분매개하였으며, 학습중심신념과 행복 간의 관계를 완전매개하였다. 넷째, 어머니의 놀이지지신념과 학습중심신념은 창의적 가정환경과 유아의 놀이성을 순차적으로 매개하여 유아의 행복에 영향을 미쳤다. 즉, 어머니가 놀이지지신념을 가질수록 창의적 가정을 조성하였고, 이는 유아의 놀이성을 높여 행복을 증진하였다. 반면, 어머니가 학습중심신념을 가질수록 창의적 가정환경은 덜 조성되어 유아는 낮은 수준의 놀이성을 보였고, 이는 유아의 낮은 수준의 행복과 관련이 있었다. 본 연구는 유아의 행복에 영향을 미치는 환경적 요인과 유아 개인 내적인 요인을 모두 고려하여 변인 간 관계를 다각적으로 밝힘으로써 변인 간 개별적 관계를 주로 다루고 양육 행동에 초점을 두었던 기존의 연구를 확장하였다. 또한 유아의 행복을 증진하는 요소로서 놀이의 중요성을 상기하여 가정 내 놀이지원 방향을 모색하였으며, 유아의 행복을 증진하기 위해서는 가정환경과 놀이가 모두 고려되어야 하고, 특히 어머니의 놀이지지신념이 선행되어야 함을 밝혔다. 본 연구의 결 과는 어머니의 놀이신념과 가정환경을 변화시키기 위한 부모교육 프로그램 개발의 기초자료로 활용될 수 있을 것이다. ;The purpose of the study was to analyze the relationship between mothers' play beliefs and creative home environment, children's playfulness and happiness , and to examine the sequential mediation effects of creative home environment and preschoolers’ playfulness in the association between mothers' play beliefs and preshoolers’ happiness. A total of 233 mothers whose children aged 3 to 5 years participated in this study. Data were collected using a questionnaire and analyzed using t-test, correlations, and serial multiple mediating effects through SPSS 27.0 and SPSS PROCESS macro v4.1 The main findings of this study were as follows: First, mothers' play support beliefs had a direct effect on children's happiness, but mothers' academic focus beliefs did not directly effect on children's happiness. Second, the creative home environment partially mediated the relationship between the mother's play support belief and the child's happiness, and completely mediated the relationship between the academic focus belief and happiness. Third, children's playfulness partially mediated the relationship between mother's play support beliefs and children's happiness, and completely mediated the relationship between academic focus beliefs and happiness. Lastly, the mother's play supporting beliefs and academic focus beliefs sequentially mediated the creative home environment and the infant's playfulness, influencing the infant's happiness. Findings of this study present the importance of play as an element that promotes the happiness of young children, guided play support methods at home. The results of this study can be used as basic data for developing parent education programs to change mothers' play beliefs and home environment.
