숲을 디지털 이미지로 표현한 텍스타일 디자인의 조형화 연구

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to preserve by means of the artistic expressions the images of the forest such as freedom, comfort and beautiful moment. When we are tired of the repetitive and busy ordinary life, we take a rest. Although there are various ways to take a rest, one of the most universal ways may well be a relaxation in the nature. The researcher paid attention to the positive emotion of the nature and its momentary images. Furthermore, the forests may well be approached from a town, which means that every one could well experience the natural spaces or forests. In order to help understand the art works rendering such expressions, the researcher used definitions and cases to explain about terminology, expression methods and production process by using their definitions and cases. For a theoretical review, the researcher examined the relevant literature, focusing on the themes and methods of expressions. In case of the themes of expressions, the researcher defined the photos as expressions of the natural space or forest, its images and momentary views, and discussed each case by referring to artists' examples. Moreover, the researcher reviewed the relevant terminology and details additionally, and presented the data shot by her. On the other hand, in order to effectively express the themes, the researcher reviewed the possibility of forming the textile designs using Photo Shop and DTP as means of the digital painting. In addition, the researcher examined the art works different due to the changes of the painting tools, the materials and conditions for the DTP works in order to help understand the means of expressing the textile designs through digital processing. In the actual production, the researcher made clear her intention to express and produce an art work based on the results of the theoretical reviews and then, analyzed the process of the production. The process of production was divided in large into photographing, producing of images with the Photo Shop and printing, while the experimental process was composed with the photos for easier understanding on the part of the audience. Finally, 5 series could be completed to be analyzed. A total of 11 works were produced for easy understanding. Through this study, the researcher could establish a theory for preservation of the positive emotion felt in the fores, and confirmed it through diverse cases. Furthermore, the researcher agonized over diverse expression methods for an effective expression and selected one of them deemed most effective for the actual art work. Besides, the researcher designed the diverse experiments in the process of producing the actual art work to contain her desired expressions in the final art work and make them not being appreciated by any individual but being shared with as many as people.;본 논문은 연구자가 숲에서 느낀 자유로움, 편안함 그리고 아름다운 순간의 이미지를 예술적 표현방법을 통해 보존하기 위한 연구이다. 반복적이고 분주한 일상에 지칠 때면 우리는 휴식을 취하고자 한다. 휴식을 취하는 방법은 다양하겠으나 보편적 방법 중의 하나는 자연과 함께하는 것이다. 연구자는 이러한 경우 자연이 주는 긍정적인 감정과 그 순간의 이미지에 주목했고 특별히 도심에서도 접근성이 좋아 모두가 쉽게 경험 가능한 숲이라는 자연공간에 초점을 맞추어 표현하고자 했다. 이 연구에서는 이러한 표현을 담은 작품을 이해하기 위해 필요한 용어, 표현방법 및 제작과정 등을 정의하고 각 사례의 방법을 통해 이해하기 쉽도록 설명하였다. 이론적 연구에서는 문헌 조사를 통해 표현 주제와 표현방법에 대해 다루었다. 표현 주제에 관해서는 자연공간으로서의 숲, 이미지와 순간 표현으로서의 사진을 정의하고 각각에 대한 작가 사례를 통해 이해를 심화시켰다. 또한, 관련 용어 및 세부사항을 추가적으로 살피고 연구자가 직접 촬영한 자료를 통해 이에 대한 이해를 돕도록 하였다. 표현방법에 관해서는 주제를 효과적으로 표현하기 위해 디지털 페인팅의 수단으로써의 포토샵과 DTP를 활용한 텍스타일 디자인의 조형화 가능성에 중점을 두어 연구했다. 또한, 페인팅 도구의 변화에 따른 작품, DTP 작업이 가능한 소재와 조건, 방식 등의 요소들을 함께 살펴봄으로써 디지털 작업을 통한 텍스타일 디자인의 표현방법에 대한 이해를 폭넓게 하였다. 제작 연구에서는 우선 제작 의도로 이론적 연구에서 다룬 주제로 표현 제작하고자 하는 바를 명확히 한 후 작품 제작 과정 및 분석을 통해 이를 설명했다. 제작 과정은 크게 사진, 포토샵을 통한 이미지 제작, 프린트의 순서로 나눠 과정을 면밀히 살피고 실험 과정 또한 사진을 통해 이해하기 쉽도록 구성했다. 최종적으로 작품 분석을 통해 완성된 5개 시리즈로 11점의 작품 제작과 연출된 표현의 이해를 높일 수 있도록 했다. 이러한 연구를 통해 연구자는 숲에서 느낀 긍정적인 감정과 보존하고자 하는 이미지에 대하여 이론적으로 정립하고 다양한 사례로 이를 확인하였으며 표현하고자 하는 바를 효과적으로 나타내기 위한 다양한 표현방법을 연구하였으며 실제 작품을 참고하여 효과적인 표현방법을 선정하였다. 또한 실제 작품을 제작하는 과정에서 다양한 실험 덕분에 연구자가 표현하고자 하는 바를 작품에 담을 수 있도록 하였으며 완성된 작품을 통해 개인의 향유를 넘어 공유 가능한 표현이 되도록 하였다.
