토포그래피 등고선의 이미지를 응용한 패션디자인 연구

Abstract

패션디자인은 모든 예술 분야 중 가장 빠르게 변화하고, 다양한 분야와 조화를 이루는 무한한 가능성을 가지고 있다. 특히 자연은 우리 실생활에서 마주하는 디자인과 함께 필수적인 요소이며, 인간과의 공생에 대한 관심이 집중되고 있다. 그중 지형을 표시하는 토포그래피 등고선은 기본적인 디자인 모티브로 시각화, 단순화하여 다양한 분야의 디자인에 활용할 수 있는 장점이 있다. 이에 본 연구는 자연환경에서 파생된 토포그래피 등고선의 조형성을 연구하고자한다. 본 연구의 목적은 시간에 흐름에 따라 유기적으로 변화해온 지형을 모티브로 삼아 토포그래피 등고선의 조형적 특징을 분석하고 이를 점이원리 중심으로 표현함으로써 패션디자인 표현의 다양성을 보여주는데 있다. 본 연구의 내용 및 방법은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 토포그래피 등고선의 이론적 고찰을 통해 조형적 특징을 도출한다. 둘째, 전문서적과 참고문헌을 통해 등고선을 응용한 현대디자인 사례를 살펴보고 웹사이트와 컬렉션, 작품등을 통해 토포그래피 등고선의 특징을 활용한 디자인 사례를 분석한다. 셋째, 토포그래피 등고선의 조형성을 효과적으로 풀어내기 위해 입체감 표현에 적합한 점이원리에 관해 살펴본다. 선행사례과 전문서적을 참고하여 점이에 대한 개념과 특징을 알아보고, 이를 응용한 패션디자인 사례를 웹사이트와 컬렉션을 통해 수집한다. 넷째, 분석한 내용을 기반으로 토포그래피 등고선의 조형성을 반복되는 점이원리를 중심으로 디자인하여 응용한 실물 작품을 4벌 제작한다. 본 연구에서 이론적 고찰을 통해 얻은 결론은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 토포그래피 등고선은 같은 고도를 연결한 선으로 이어진 형이며 단면도로 그 형태가 보여진다. 산정산에서 등고선을 볼 때 그 유형과 종류를 분석한 결과 등고선의 유기적인 단면형을 관찰할 수 있었으며 선, 면, 형 색채의 변화를 통해 토포그래피 등고선의 조형적 특징을 파악할 수 있었다. 둘째, 토포그래피 등고선의 이미지가 조각, 조형물, 패션디자인, 건축요소 등의 여러 사례를 통해 다양한 방면으로 연구되는 것을 확인할 수 있었고, 토포그래피 등고선의 유연한 형태 변화를 다양하게 이해할 수 있었다. 셋째, 점이는 단계에 따라 일정한 순서와 질서를 갖는 배열이며, 반복의 한부분으로 디자인적 표현에 있어서 중요한 요소라는 것을 알 수 있었다. 본 연구에서 작품을 통해 얻은 결론은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 토포그래피 등고선의 조형적 특징을 분석하고 이를 점이원리에 접목시킴으로써 다양한 단위 형태의 모티브를 도출할 수 있었다. 모티브의 단위 반복, 다양한 크기 구성, 자연스러운 방향 전환을 줌으로써 점이원리의 원근감과 리듬감을 표현할 수 있었다. 둘째, 모티브를 표현하는 부분에서 그 사이사이에 기둥처리를 하여 입체감을 더해주고 변화를 주어 각기 다른 토포그래피 등고선의 응용 모티브를 풍부하게 표현할 수 있었다. 또한 섬세하고 정교한 표현이 필요한 모티브의 경우에는 레이저컷팅(DTP)을 통한 모티브 제작과 모티브의 연결부분을 스티치로 강조하여 시각적 효과를 극대화시켰다. 셋째, 모티브를 더욱 강조하기 위해 원피스의 실루엣는 심플하게 구성하고, 자연을 연상시킬 수 있는 부드러운 질감의 스웨이드와 등고선의 단면형을 확실히 보여줄 수 있는 두께감 있는 부직포를 사용하여 입체적인 단위 형태의 모티브를 통해 작품의 실루엣을 극대화하고 생동감을 부여하였다. 넷째, 응용모티브의 기본색채로 토포그래피에서 보여주는 산지, 평지, 그레이스케일 색채를 색채 점이원리로 그라데이션을 사용하여 단순하고 점진적인 변화와 함께 동적인 율동감을 구현하였다. 본 연구는 토포그래피 등고선의 특징을 분석하여 서로 다른 모양의 모티브에 형, 크기, 색채의 점이원리 중심으로 접목시킴으로써, 조형적인 디자인 표현 극대화시키고 자연 모티브의 무궁무진한 활용 가능성을 보여주었다. ;The purpose of this study is to show the diversity and scalability of the design by taking as a motif the nature that changes organically with the passage of time of the contour line as a motif, and by analyzing the formative features of the contour line and expressing it around the gradation principle. First, the topography contour is a type that leads to a line connecting the same altitude, and its form is shown in a cross-sectional diagram. When looking at the contour line in the mountain range, the analysis of its type and type allowed us to observe the organic cross-section of the contour line, and to understand the formative features of the topography contour line through the change in the line, face, and type color. Second, it was found that gradients are arrays with a certain order and order according to the steps, and as part of the repetition they are an important principle in design expression. By analyzing the formative features of the topography contour lines and incorporating them into gradation principle, various unit types of motifs could be derived. By repeating the units of the motifs, the composition of different sizes, and the natural redirection, I was able to express a sense of perspective and rhythm. Third, in the part that represented the motif, the column treatment between them was used to add a three-dimensional sense and to make changes so that the motifs of the different topographic contours could be richly expressed. In addition, for motifs that required sophisticated expression, laser cutting (DTP) and stitches were used to maximize the visual effect. Fourth, the silhouette of the one-piece was simply constructed, and the silhouette of the work could be maximized and brought to life through the motif of the three-dimensional unit form, using a soft textured suede reminiscent of nature and a thick non-woven fabric that could clearly show the cross-section of the contour line. Fifth, the composition of the application motif was enriched mainly through the size dots, and the type dots and color dots were added to create diversity. the basic colors of the application motifs were used as the principle of color-dotting of the origin, flatland, and grayscale colors shown in the topography to achieve dynamic effects with simple and gradual changes. This study applied the formative features of the topography contour line, which is one of the representations of the topography, to the gradation principle, and the topographic features of the topography contour line were expressed on the gradation principle, showing the possibilities of various design methodologies of design.
