국내·외 음악치료 전문 서적 출판 동향

Abstract

본 연구는 국내에 처음으로 음악치료 학위과정이 시작된 1997년도부터 2021년도까지의 국내 및 국외에서 출간된 음악치료 전문서적에 대한 동향을 연도별 게재 동향, 출판사, 서적의 유형, 세부유형에 대해 파악하고 이에 따른 국내 및 국외 서적의 출판 동향을 확인하고자 하였다. 분석된 자료는 1997년도부터 2021년까지 출간된 한국어, 영어로 작성된 음악치료 전문서적 205권이다. 연도별 출판 권수, 출판사, 서적의 유형, 세부유형에 따른 출판 추이를 분석하였고, 그에 대한 공통점 및 차이점을 확인하였다. 분석 결과 음악치료 전문 서적은 학술지, 논문 등과 마찬가지로 학위과정이 개설된 1997년도부터 꾸준히 출간되고 있으며 그 수도 증가하고 있음이 확인되었다. 더 나아가 국내의 전문서적의 유형은 이론서에 많은 비중을 차지하는 반면 국외의 전문서적은 실제에 많은 비중을 차지하고 있었다. 최근에는 임상대상군 외에도 임상대상군의 가족, 사회, 공동체 등 일반대상에 대한 접근에서의 실제가 확장되고 있음이 확인되었다. 이처럼 본 연구는 음악치료가 국내의 대학에 학위과정으로 개설된 이후부터의 국내 및 국외 분류 영역에 대한 현황과 추이를 파악하였고, 이러한 결과는 음악치료전문가와 음악치료를 공부하는 학생들에게 음악치료 서적의 분류기준에 따른 비율, 현황, 음악치료 전문 서적 출판의 추후 방향성에 대한 기초자료를 제시할 수 있다.;The purpose of this study was to identify trends in music therapy literature published in domestically and internationally, from 1997 to 2022. The research aimed to investigate trends since the start of the music therapy curriculum in South Korea and provide the groundwork for future literature. 153 music therapy books from English-speaking countries, and 41 music therapy books from Korea were analyzed. Concerning the available literature, the research was only conducted on literature that can confirm an author's preface, introduction or editorial reviews. Analysis was conducted by identifying the number and percentage of the following categories: publication date, publishers, and types of books (theory, techniques and models, clinical practice, research method, and other areas such as education of music therapy and professionalism). In addition, the results obtained concerning English and Korean music therapy books were compared and contrasted. As a result of the analysis, it was confirmed that the number of music therapy books published in both Korea and English-speaking countries has steadily increased since 1997. However, the results also confirmed that the types of books published in Korea and these English-speaking countries differ. The types of books in Korea concerned mainly the area of theory (61.1%), while those in the English-speaking countries concerned mainly the area of practice (34.1%). Detailed classification in the area of theory revealed that introductory music therapy books accounted for the largest portion (42.3%) in Korea, while theoretical books combined with the practice area accounted for the largest portion (42%) in the English-speaking countries. Furthermore, detailed classification in the area of practice revealed that the complex area, including other main areas, accounted for the largest portion (30.9%) in the English-speaking countries, while the complex area of the complex case (disability target group) and general target group (toddlers and teenagers) accounted for the largest portion (40%) in Korea. This study allows both experts and music major students in the field of music therapy to identify the trends of music therapy books since the start of the music therapy curriculum in South Korea.
