얼굴색에 따른 의복색의 색채 조화와 이미지 평가

Abstract

When evaluating the image of person, clothing is the most important external clue. Especially, clothing color is the first perceived element among the design elements of clothing. Since clothing colors are recognized by being correlated with facial colors, it is important to select a color that suits the most visually based on facial color. In this study, image evaluation of clothing color and color harmony by facial color were examined. Four types of facial colors were selected as Warm Light, Warm Dark, Cool Light, and Cool Dark. Clothing colors were selected in 5colors (Red, Yellow, Green, Blue, Purple) and 3tones (vivid, pale, dark), Black and White. A total of 68 stimulations were used in the experiment. The evaluation of 12 image adjectives of ‘cute’, ‘friendly’, ‘soft’, ‘pure’, ‘intelligent’, ‘urban’, ‘chic’, ‘strong’, ‘individual’, ‘active’, ‘sexy’, and ‘elegant’ was analyzed on a 5-point likert scale. As a result of analyzing the harmony of the colors of face and clothing, harmonious clothing color was different depending on the facial color. The bright facial colors were harmonized with white and dark facial colors were harmonized with black and dark tone clothing. Vivid tones were found to have low harmony with all facial colors. There was a difference in harmony according to the brightness rather than the color of the facial color. As a result of analyzing the image evaluation of clothing color according to facial color are as follows. The ‘cute' image was evaluated as the most cute when it was R/pl clothing color in warm light, cool light, and cool dark facial colors. Warm dark facial color was evaluated as not cute in all clothing colors. The ‘friendly’ image was evaluated as the most friendly when it was Y/pl clothing color in warm light, P/pl clothing color in the cool light and R/dk clothing color in cool dark facial colors. Warm dark facial color was evaluated as not friendly in all clothing colors. The ‘soft’ image was evaluated as the most soft when it was Y/pl clothing color in warm light and cool dark, Y/dk clothing color in the warm dark and P/pl clothing color in cool light facial colors. The ‘pure’ image was evaluated as the most pure white clothing color in warm light, P/pl clothing color in cool light and P/vv clothing color in cool dark facial colors. Warm dark facial color was evaluated as not pure in all clothing colors. The ‘intelligent' image was evaluated as the most intelligent when it was black clothing all facial colors. The ‘urban' image was evaluated as the most urban when it was Black clothing color in warm light, warm dark and cool dark facial colors, B/dk clothing color in cool light facial color. The ‘chic' image was evaluated as the most chic when it was black clothing all facial colors. The ‘strong’ image was evaluated as the most strong when it was R/vv clothing color in warm light, warm dark and cool light facial colors, black clothing color in cool dark facial color. The ‘individual' image was evaluated as the most individual when it was R/vv clothing color in all facial colors. The ‘active' image was evaluated as the most active when it was Y/vv clothing color in the warm light, R/vv clothing color in warm dark and cool light, B/vv color in the cool dark. The ‘sexy’ image was evaluated as the most sexy whem it was black clothing in cool light and cool dark and warm light, warm dark facial color was evaluated as not sexy in all clothing colors. The ‘elegant’ image was evaluated as the most elegant when it was R/dk clothing color in warm light, cool dark and P/pl clothing color in cool light and warm dark facial color was evaluated as not elegant in all clothing colors. As a result of this study, there was a significant difference in color harmony and image evaluation of clothing colors according by facial colors. It is hope that it will be a helpful material for selecting clothing color in consideration of facial color in increasing individual value and effectively directing through visual images.;타인의 이미지를 평가할 때 의복은 가장 중요한 외적 단서이며 특히 의복색은 의복의 디자인 요소 중 가장 먼저 지각되는 요소이다. 의복색은 얼굴색과 상호 관 련을 지으며 인지되기 때문에 가장 잘 어울리는 의복색을 선택하기 위해서는 얼 굴색을 기본으로 하여 시각적으로 어울리는 색의 선택이 중요하다. 이에 따라 본 연구에서는 얼굴색에 따른 의복색의 색채 조화와 이미지 평가를 살펴보았다. 얼굴색은 4가지 유형으로 Warm Light, Warm Dark, Cool Light, Cool Dark로 선정하고 의복색은 유채색 5가지 색상(Red, Yellow, Green, Blue, Purple), 3가지 톤(vivid, pale, dark)과 무채색 Black, White를 선정하여 총 68가지 실험 자 극을 제작하였다. 이를 바탕으로 얼굴색에 따른 의복색의 조화와 ‘귀여운’, ‘친근 한’, ‘부드러운’, ‘청순한’, ‘지적인’, ‘도시적인’, ‘시크한’, ‘강한’, ‘개성있는’, ‘활동 적인’, ‘섹시한’, ‘우아한’ 12개 이미지 형용사에 대한 평가를 5점 리커트 척도로 조사하여 분석하였다. 얼굴색과 의복색의 색채 조화를 분석한 결과, 얼굴색에 따라 조화로운 의복색이 다르며 밝은 얼굴색은 White, 어두운 얼굴색은 Black, dark 톤 의복색이 조화로운 것으로 나타났고, vivid 톤은 모든 얼굴색과 조화가 낮은 것으로 나타났다. 얼굴색 의 색상보다 명도에 따라 조화 차이가 나타났다. 얼굴색에 따른 의복색의 이미지 평가를 분석한 결과, ‘귀여운’ 이미지는 Warm Light, Cool Light, Cool Dark 얼굴색의 경우 R/pl 의복색이 가장 귀엽고, Warm Dark 얼굴색의 경우 모든 의복색이 귀엽지 않은 것으로 평가되었다. ‘친근한’ 이 미지는 Warm Light 얼굴색의 경우 Y/pl, Cool Light 얼굴색의 경우 P/pl, Cool Dark 얼굴색의 경우 R/dk 의복색이 가장 친근하고, Warm Dark 얼굴색의 경우 모든 의복색이 친근하지 않은 것으로 평가되었다. ‘부드러운’ 이미지는 Warm Light, Cool Dark 얼굴색의 경우 Y/pl, Warm Dark 얼굴색의 경우 Y/dk, Cool Light 얼굴 색의 경우 P/pl 의복색이 가장 부드러운 것으로 평가되었다. ‘청순한’ 이미지는 Warm Light 얼굴색의 경우 White, Cool Light 얼굴색이 경우 P/pl, Cool Dark 얼 굴색의 경우 P/vv 의복색이 청순하고, Warm Dark 얼굴색의 경우 모든 의복색이 청순하지 않은 것으로 평가되었다. ‘지적인’ 이미지는 모든 얼굴색에서 Black 의복 색이 가장 지적인 것으로 평가되었다. ‘도시적인’ 이미지는 Warm Light, Warm Dark, Cool Dark 얼굴색의 경우 Black, Cool Light 얼굴색의 경우 B/dk 의복색이 가장 도시적인 것으로 평가되었다. 시크한’ 이미지는 모든 얼굴색에서 Black 의복 색이 가장 시크한 것으로 평가되었다. ‘강한’ 이미지는 Warm Light, Warm Dark Cool Light 얼굴색의 경우 R/vv, Cool Dark 얼굴색의 경우 Black 의복색이 가장 강 한 것으로 평가되었다. ‘개성있는’ 이미지는 모든 얼굴색에서 R/vv 의복색이 가장 개성있는 것으로 평가되었다. ‘활동적인’ 이미지는 Warm Light 얼굴색의 경우 Y/vv, Warm Dark 얼굴색의 경우 R/vv, Cool Light 얼굴색의 경우 R/vv, Y/vv, Cool Dark 얼굴색의 경우 B/vv 의복색이 가장 활동적인 것으로 평가되었다. ‘섹시 한’ 이미지는 Cool Light, Cool Dark 얼굴색의 경우 Black 의복색이 가장 섹시하 고, Warm Light, Warm Dark 얼굴색의 경우 모든 의복색이 섹시하지 않은 것으로 평가되었다. ‘우아한’ 이미지는 Warm Light, Cool Dark 얼굴색의 경우 R/dk, Cool Light 얼굴색의 경우 P/pl 의복색이 가장 우아하고, Warm Dark 얼굴색은 모든 의 복색이 우아하지 않은 것으로 평가되었다. 본 연구의 결과 얼굴색에 따라 의복색의 색채 조화와 이미지 평가는 유의한 차 이를 나타냈다. 시각적 이미지를 통해 개인의 가치를 높이고 효과적으로 연출하는 데 있어서 얼굴색을 고려하여 의복색을 선택하는 데 도움이 되는 자료가 되기를 바란다.
