F. Chopin의 삶과 시대상에 기반한 “Sonata for Cello and Piano in G minor, OP. 65”에 관한 분석

Abstract

본 연구는 폴란드의 대표적인 피아니스트이자 작곡가인 F. 쇼팽(Frédéric François Chopin)의 다양한 작품들 중 그의 말년에 작곡한 첼로와 피아노를 위한 작품인 [Sonata for Cello and Piano in G minor, OP. 65]에 대해 분석한 논문이다. 이 곡은 피아노 연주자이면서 동시에 피아노 곡을 주로 작곡했던 쇼팽이 그의 동료이자 첼로 연주자인 오구스트 요셉 프랑숌(Auguste Joseph Franchomme, 1808-1884)을 위한 곡으로도 널리 알려져있다. 본 논문은 쇼팽이 특별히 그의 친구이자 첼로 연주자인 오구스트 요셉 프랑숌에게 헌정하기 위해 만든 작품인[Sonata for Cello and Piano in G minor, OP. 65]을 고찰하고 분석하여 작곡가 쇼팽의 의도를 알기위해 노력하고 그를 기반으로 하여 보다 깊이있게 이해하는 것에 연구의 목적이 있다. 이를 위해서 먼저 쇼팽이 살았던 시기의 문화적, 역사적 환경을 먼저 조사하였다. 다음으로 쇼팽 개인의 생애를 살펴보았으며, 이를 통해 그가 작곡한 많은 곡들의 특징과 연결시켜 그의 작품세계를 이해하고자 하였다. 모두 네 개의 악장으로 구성된 작품인 [Sonata for Cello and Piano in G minor, OP. 65] 가 갖고 있는 특징은 다음과 같이 정리할 수 있다. 제 1악장에서는 당시의 통상적인 관념을 벗어나려는 구성이 특징적이다. 형식적인 측면에서는 고전주의적인 소나타의 구성을 갖고 있지만, 발전부에 제 2주제가 나타나지 않으며, 또한 재현부에도 제 1주제가 나타나지 않는 특이한 구성이 눈에 띈다. 제 2악장에서는 스케르조(Scherzo) 형식이 적용되어 제 1악장과는 다른 분위기로 이끌어간다. 제 3악장에서는 2부분형식으로 이루어져 첼로와 피아노가 서로 동등하고 단편적인 선율을 계속 연결하여 불규칙적인 구조를 만들어가는 것이 특징이다. 제 4악장에서는 A-B-A’-B’-A” 구조와 코다(Coda)를 활용하여 화려하고 복잡한 피날레를 연출하며 곡을 마무리한다.;This research is an analysis of [Sonata for Cello and Piano in G minor, OP. 65], a later-year chamber music composed by Frédéric François Chopin, a leading Polish pianist and composer. It is also famous for being a pianist and also for his colleague and cellist Auguste Joseph Franchomme(1808-1884), by Frederick Francois Chopin, who mainly composed piano songs. Auguste Joseph Franchomme was a life friend who kept Chopin by his side when his health deteriorated, and also a musical colleague who Frédéric François Chopin was with when he explored Cello. The purpose of this research is to examine and analyze Sonata for Cello and Piano in G minor, OP. 65, a work that Chopin specially made to dedicate to his friend and cellist Auguste Joseph Franchomme, to try and understand the song based on it. First, the cultural and historical environment of the time Chopin lived was first investigated. And then, we looked at the life of Frederic Francois Chopin, and through this, we tried to understand his work by linking it with the characteristics of many of his works. The characteristics of Sonata for Cello and Piano in G minor, OP. 65, a work composed of all four movements, can be summarized as follows. In the first movement, the composition to deviate from the usual ideas of the time is characteristic. In terms of formality, it has a classical sonata composition, but the second theme does not appear in the development department, and the first theme does not appear in the reproduction department. In the second movement, the Scherzo format is applied to show a different format from the first movement. In the third movement, the cello and the piano consist of two-part forms, and it is characterized by continuing to connect equal and fragmentary melodies to create an irregular structure. In the fourth movement, the A-B-A'-B'-A" structure and Coda are used to create a complex and colorful finale.
