한국어 듣기 대화문의 요청화행 양상 연구

Abstract

본 연구의 목적은 대표적인 한국어 능력 평가인 ‘한국어능력시험(TOPIK)’의 요청화행 실현 양상을 사회적 변인(대화 상황, 상하관계, 요청화행의 종류) 및 주화행, 보조화행을 기준으로 분석하여 학습 자료인 교재와 이어지는 시험 체제에서의 화행 양상을 살펴보고자 하는 것에 있다. 이를 위해 2014년 개편 이후 중·고급 TOPIK을 분석 대상으로 삼고, 한국어 교재의 요청화행 분석 연구의 양상과 함께 제시하였다. 본고의 구성은 다음과 같다. Ⅰ장에서는 연구의 목적과 필요성을 기술하고 본연구와 관련된 선행연구를 고찰하였다. 본고는 TOPIKⅡ의 요청화행 분석을 목적 으로 하였으므로 요청화행 및 지시화행 관련 선행연구와 TOPIK의 화행을 분석한 연구들을 고찰하였다. 선행연구 고찰을 통해, TOPIK의 요청화행 분석 연구가 어떤 양상으로 진행되었는지 밝히고, TOPIKⅡ의 사회적 변인, 주화행, 보조화행을 분석 하기 위한 연구문제를 도출하였다. Ⅱ는 이론적 배경으로, 요청화행 체계를 세운 대표성 있는 연구들을 정리하였 다. Blum-Kulka 외(1984) 및 강현화(2007), 김강희(2019)의 연구를 통해 화행의 분류 기준을 세웠다. 그리고 선행연구의 주화행 및 보조화행 전략을 세우는 경향성을 살피고 전반적인 전략을 세우기 위한 이론을 검토하였다. 또한 한국어능력시험의 듣기 영역에 대해 전반적인 이론을 제시했다. Ⅲ은 연구방법으로, 본 연구가 연구 대상으로 삼은 한국어능력시험의 분석 기준 과, 분석 방법이 되는 주화행 전략 틀과 보조화행 전략 틀에 대해 기술했다. 분석 대상이 되는 시험은 2014년 개편 이후 공개된 시험 8회분이며, 분석의 기준은 세가지 사회적 변인과 요청의 주화행 및 보조화행이다. 사회적 변인은 대화 상황(사적 대화/공적대화), 화청자의 상하관계(S>H, S=H, S<H), 요청화행의 종류이고, 주화행 전략은 박소연(2019)의 틀을 활용했고, 보조화행 틀은 선행연구에서 중복적으로 제시된 전략들 중 시험에서 등장하지 않을 전략을 제외하고 제시하였다. Ⅳ장에서는 분석 결과를 제시하고 이에 대한 논의를 진행하였다. 먼저 분석 대상 TOPIK의 전반적인 분석 결과를 논한 후 각 변인별로 특징적인 전략 양상을 제시하였다. 전체 분석 결과, 사회적 변인에서는 교재의 양상과 달리 공적 대화와 사적 대화가 비교적 고르게 제시되고 있었다. 또한 화자에게 요청의 권리가 있는 요구화행이 가장 많이 나타나고 있음을 알 수 있었다. 장소의 양상은 교재와 다소 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 다음으로 주화행 양상에서는 전반적으로 ‘직접적 전략’ 및 ‘관례적 간접 전략’에서 상당히 특정 전략에 편중되어 제시된 모습을 살펴볼 수 있었다. 보조화행 양상은 화자의 상하 관계별로 양상을 나누고, 이들이 가장 자주 사용한 주화행 전략에서 높은 빈도로 사용한 보조화행에 대해 살폈다. S>H(손님, 상사), S<H(직원), S=H의 화자들이 자주 사용하고 있는 보조화행 전략의 양상은 모두 상이했고, S=H의 화자들이 이중 보조화행 전략을 가장 다양하게 사용하고 있음을알 수 있었다. 한편, ‘회사’ 및 ‘토론장’에서 특징적으로 사용되는 보조화행이 있음을 밝혔 다. 또한 높은 빈도로 나타나는 장소인 회사에서의 ‘상사’의 요청화행에서는 보조화행을 사용하지 않는 ‘주화행 단독 전략’이 상당수 나타나고 있어 이에 따른 대안을 제시했다. 한편 ‘유화부사’ 전략은 총 4가지의 다양한 종류로 제시되고 있었지만 전반적인 양상에서 ‘S<H’상황 및 ‘사적 대화’에서의 사용량을 늘릴 것을 제안하였다. 마지막으로 Ⅴ장에서는 본 연구의 결과를 요약하고 연구의 시사점과 의의, 한계를 기술하였다. 본고의 연구 결과는 다음과 같은 의의를 갖는다. 그간 다양한 준구어 듣기 자료에서의 요청화행 분석이 이루어져 왔으나 개편 이후 TOPIK을 대상 으로 사회적 변인, 주화행, 보조화행을 구체적으로 살핀 연구는 드물었기 때문에 교육 자료와 연결되는 시험 체제에서의 화행 양상을 살펴볼 수 있다. 또한 본고는 한국어의 대표적인 시험인 TOPIK의 듣기 대화문에서 요청 화행이 실현되는 양상을 살펴 화행 기준의 적용 가능성을 살폈다는 점에서 연구의 의의를 갖는다고 할 수 있다.;The purpose of this study is to analyze the realization of the Request Speech Act of the representative Korean language proficiency test(TOPIK) based on social variables (conversation situation, top-down relations, type of Request Speech Act) and head acts and supportive moves. To this end, middle and high level TOPIK were targeted for analysis after reorganization in 2014, and presented along with the pattern of research on Request Speech of Korean textbooks. The composition of this paper is as follows. Chapter I describes the purpose and necessity of the study and examines previous studies related to this study. Since this paper was aimed at analyzing the Request Speech Act of TOPIK II, previous studies related to the Request Speech Act and studies analyzing the Speech Act of TOPIK were considered. Through a review of previous studies, research questions were derived to clarify how TOPIK's research on Request Speech Act was conducted, and Research questions were derived to analyze the social variables, head acts and supportive moves of TOPIK II. Chapter Ⅱ summarizes representative studies that established a Request Speech Act system as a theoretical background. Through the studies of Blum-Kulka., et al.(1984), Kang, Hyun-hwa(2007), and Kim, Kang-hee(2019), the criteria for classification of Speech Act were established. In addition, the tendency to establish a main currency and auxiliary currency strategy in previous studies was examined, and the theory to establish an overall strategy was reviewed. In addition, an overall theory was presented on the listening area of the TOPIK. Chapter 3 describes the analysis criteria of the TOPIK, which this study used as the subject of the study, as well as the head acts strategy framework and supportive moves strategy framework. The tests subject to analysis are eight times that have been disclosed since the reorganization in 2014, and the criteria for analysis are three social variables, head acts and supportive moves of requests. Social variables were conversational situations (private conversation/public conversation), the upper and lower relationship of the listener(S=H, S=H, S<H), and the Request Speech Act pattern used Park, So-yeon(2019) framework, except for strategies that would not appear in the test. Chapter IV presents the analysis results and discusses them. First, after discussing the overall analysis results of the analysis target TOPIK, a characteristic strategic pattern was presented for each variable. As a result of the overall analysis, public and private conversations were presented relatively evenly, unlike the aspect of textbooks in social variables. In addition, it can be seen that the Demand Speech Act that the speaker has the right to request appears the most. It was found that the aspect of the place was somewhat different from the textbook. Next, in terms of head acts, it was possible to examine the appearance presented by focusing on a specific strategy in ‘direct strategy' and ‘custom indirect strategy' as a whole. The pattern of supportive moves was divided by the speaker's upper and lower relationships, and the head acts that they used with high frequency in their most frequently used supportive moves strategy was examined. The aspects of the supportive moves strategy frequently used by speakers of S>H(guest, boss), S<H (employee), and S=H were all different, and it could be seen that the speakers of S=H used the double supportive moves strategy the most diverse. On the other hand, it was revealed that there is a supportive moves action characteristically used in ‘company’ and ‘discussion room’. In addition, in the Request Speech Act of ‘boss’ at the company, which is a place that appears at high frequency, a number of ‘single strategies for head acts’ that do not use auxiliary currency behavior appear, suggesting alternatives. Meanwhile, the 'appeasement adverb' strategy was suggested in a total of four different types, but in the overall aspect, it was proposed to increase the amount of use in the ‘S<H’ situation and ‘private conversation’. Finally, Chapter V summarizes the results of this study and describes the implications, significance, and limitations of the study. The research results of this paper have the following significance. Request Speech Act analysis has been conducted in various semi-spoken listening materials, but since the reorganization, studies that specifically examined social variables, head acts, and supportive moves and auxiliary speech acts for TOPIK have been rare, so it is possible to examine the behavior of speech in the test system connected to educational data. In addition, this paper has the significance of the study in that it examined the applicability of the Speech Act standard by examining the realization of the Request Speech Act in the listening dialog of TOPIK, a representative test of Korean.
