미국 피아노 앙상블 교재 레퍼토리의 난이도 분석 및 교수법적 제안

Abstract

인간의 수명이 100세를 바라보는 현시대에 자기중심적인 사고가 강해지면서 건강, 인성 및 인품과 더불어 사회적 소속감을 중요시 여기고 있어 피아노 교육에서도 여러 명이 함께하는 피아노 앙상블 교육의 수요가 높아지고 있다. 또한, 피아노를 배우는 연령이 낮아지거나, 아니면 반대로 높아져 보다 다양한 연령대로 이를 충족시킬 수 있는 피아노 앙상블 교육방법과 교재들이 요구되고 있다. 그러나 일관적인 교육 방식과 다양한 장르 및 난이도의 앙상블교재 부재로 피아노 앙상블 교육의 수요에 비해 많이 부족한 것이 현실이다. 이에 본 논문에서는 해외의 앙상블 교육의 현황과 출간되어 있는 앙상블교재를 조사하고, 미국에서 출간된 피아노 앙상블 교재들 중 국내에서도 구매 가능한 교재를 선정하여 분석한 후 각 레퍼토리의 레벨링을 통해 피아노 앙상블 교육적 특징에 따른 교사를 위한 교수법적 제안을 제시하였으며 피아노 앙상블 교육의 활성화에 그 목적을 두었다. 본 논문의 연구방법으로는, 4개의 시대에 따른 피아노 앙상블 역사에 관하여 문헌 연구를 하였으며, ‘피아노 앙상블’,‘피아노 듀엣’,‘피아노 듀오’의 이름을 가진 해외에서 출간된 앙상블교재의 현황을 조사하였다. 본 연구는 미국에서 출간한 교재 중 현재 구매가 가능한 교재 61권, 557곡 중 156곡을 선정하여 제인 마그러(Jane Magrath)와 카머론 맥그로(Cameron McGraw)의 레벨링에 따라 레퍼토리를 분석하였으며, 각 교재의 특징을 서술하였다. 또한, 피아노 앙상블의 교육적 특징에 따라 멜로디의 통일성, 다이나믹의 균형, 다양한 음향의 체험, 페달, 호흡의 5가지 항목으로 나누어 각 항목에 맞는 레퍼토리를 분류하였으며, 5가지의 항목에 따라 교사를 위한 교수법적 제안을 제시하였다. 멜로디의 표현에 있어 통일성 있게 연주하려면 상대방의 소리를 주의 깊게 들어야 하므로 청음 발달에 긍정적인 영향을 끼칠 수 있으며, 다양한 다이나믹이 동시다발적으로 등장하기 때문에 파트 간의 음향 조절은 음악적 표현을 강화 시킬 수 있다. 또한, 레가토 페달, 탭 페달, 하프 페달, 풀 페달 등 다양한 페달링을 수록한 작품들이 다수 포함되어 있어 페달을 밟는 페달링의 테크닉을 향상시킬 수 있으며, 다양한 앙상블 연주는 파트너와의 소통, 유대감과 더불어 타인과의 사회적 관계를 맺는데 긍정적인 영향을 미칠 수 있다. 미국에서 출간된 교재에서는 현재 피아노 교육자로 활동하고 있는 저자의 창작곡, 영화음악, 크리스마스음악, 재즈, 애니메이션(Animation), 팝앤락(Pop&Rock), 클래식 원곡 등 다양한 장르의 작품이 다수 수록되어 있었으며, 4명의 연주자가 연주하는 에잇 핸즈(8 Hands) 앙상블 형태의 교재도 포함되어 있다. 이러한 다양한 앙상블교재는 독주 연주에서 느낄 수 없었던 연주의 즐거움을 알게 될 것이며, 학습자의 음악적 향상과 테크닉 발전에도 긍정적인 영향을 미치게 된다. 이로써 피아노 교육의 또 다른 발전 가능성을 보여주게 되며, 이에 따라 본 논문의 연구로 다양한 교수 방안과 앙상블교재의 개발이 활성화되기를 바란다.;As the self-centered thinking has grown stronger in the present age when the human life expects to be 100 years old, the importance of health, character, and personality as well as social belonging are valued, and the demand for piano ensemble education with multiple people is increasing. Also, piano ensemble teaching methods and textbooks are required to help students learn the piano at a lower or higher age and meet it at a more diverse age group. However, it is a reality that the piano ensemble education is insufficient compared to the demand for piano ensemble education due to the consistent education method and the absence of teaching materials of various genres and difficulties. Therefore, in this paper, the current status of overseas ensemble education and published ensemble textbooks are investigated, and among the piano ensemble textbooks published in the US, textbooks that can be purchased in Korea are selected and analyzed and through the leveling of each repertoire, a pedagogical proposal was proposed for teachers according to the educational characteristics of the piano ensemble, and its purpose was to revitalize the piano ensemble education. This paper did a literature study on the history of piano ensembles following four times, and investigated the status of ensembles published abroad, which were named 'Piano Ensemble', 'Piano Duet' and 'Piano Duo'. This paper selected 156 of the 557 musics currently available for purchase among the 61 textbooks published in the United States, analyzed the repertoire according to the levelings of Jane Magrath and Cameron McGraw, and described the characteristics of each textbook. In addition, according to the educational characteristics of the piano ensemble, it was divided into five categories: melody unity, dynamic balance, various sound experiences, pedals, and breathing, and classified repertoires for each item, and teaching methods for teachers were suggested, according to 5 items. In order to play uniformly in the expression of the melody, it is necessary to listen carefully to the opponent's sound, which can have a positive effect on the development of hearing, and since various dynamics appear simultaneously, sound control between parts can enhance the musical expression. In addition, there are a number of works containing various pedaling, including legato pedals, tap pedals, half pedals and full pedals, which can improve pedalling techniques, and various ensemble performances can have a positive effect on communication with partners, bonds, and social relationships with others. Published in the U.S., the textbook contains a number of works of various genres, including the author's creative songs, film music, Christmas music, jazz, animation, pop & rock, and classical music, as well as teaching materials in the form of an 8 Hands ensemble played by four performers. These various ensemble teaching materials will learn the joy of playing that you could not feel in solo performance, and will have a positive effect on learner's musical improvement and technique development. This will show the possibility of another development of piano education, and it is hoped that the study of this paper will promote the development of various teaching methods and ensembles.
