유아기 어머니의 성인애착, 양육행동의 관계에서 정신화, 모-정신화의 매개효과

Abstract

본 연구의 목적은 어머니의 애착불안 및 애착회피와 어머니의 긍정 및 부정 양육행동의 관계에서 정신화와 모-정신화의 매개효과를 밝히는 데 있다. 이를 위해 첫째 혹은 외동 자녀가 만 1~5세 자녀를 둔 어머니 267명을 대상으로 성인애착 척도, 재구성된 정신화 척도, 모-정신화 척도, 양육행동 척도를 사용해 설문을 실시하였고, 불성실한 응답을 제외한 후 총 267부의 자료를 SPSS 26.0과 SPSS PROCESS Macro 프로그램을 사용해 분석하였다. 구체적인 분석방법과 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 어머니의 애착불안 및 애착회피, 정신화, 모-정신화, 양육행동의 상관관계를 알아보고자 Pearson의 상관분석을 실시하였다. 분석 결과, 어머니의 애착불안과 애착회피 모두 부정양육행동과 정적상관관계를, 정신화, 모-정신화, 긍정양육행 동과는 부적상관관계를 갖는 것으로 확인되었다. 둘째, 어머니의 애착불안 및 애착회피가 긍정 및 부정 양육행동의 관계에서 정신화의 매개효과를 검증한 결과, 어머니의 애착불안은 정신화를 부분매개로 긍정양육행동에 부적인 영향을, 부정양육행동에는 정적인 영향을 미치는 경로를 가지는 것으로 확인되었다. 한편, 애착회피와 긍정양육행동의 경로에서는 정신화가 완전매개 하는 것으로 나타났으며, 부정양육행동에는 정적인 부분간접효과의 경로를 갖는 것으로 확인되었다. 셋째, 어머니의 애착불안 및 애착회피가 긍정 및 부정 양육행동의 관계에서 모-정신화의 매개효과를 검증하였다. 그 결과, 어머니의 애착불안은 모-정신화를 매개로 긍정 및 부정 양육행동에 유의미한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으며, 애착 회피는 긍정 및 부정양육행동 모두 모-정신화가 완전매개하는 경로를 갖는 것으로 확인됐다. 넷째, 어머니의 애착불안 및 애착회피가 긍정 및 부정 양육행동의 관계에서 정신화와 모-정신화의 순차적 이중매개효과를 검증한 결과, 애착불안과 애착회피 모두 정신화와 모-정신화를 순차적 이중매개해 긍정 및 부정 양육행동에 유의한 영향 을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 이와 같은 연구를 토대로, 어머니의 성인애착은 양육행동에 영향을 미치는데 그 경로에 있어서 정신화와 모-정신화가 각각 매개하고, 두 변인의 순차적 이중매개를 통해서도 간접적인 영향을 미쳤다. 따라서 본 연구는 어머니의 애착불안과 애 착회피가 긍정 및 부정 양육행동에 미치는 여러 경로를 확인했다는 점에서 의의가 있다. 특히 어머니의 애착유형에 따라 양육행동에 미치는 영향이 다르게 나타나 어머니의 양육행동을 변화시키거나 자녀와의 관계 변화를 위해서는 어머니의 애착유형에 따라 접근해야함을 확인할 수 있었다. 또한 어머니의 양육행동에 정신화와 모-정신화가 중요한 통로가 되고 있음이 확인되어, 부모 상담 및 교육 시 정신화와 모-정신화 수준을 높일 수 있는 경험에 초점을 둘 필요가 있다는 시사점을 제공한다. ;The purpose of the study is to verify the mediating effects of mentalization and mother mentalization on the relationship between mother's adult attachment and parenting behaviors. Self-reported survey responses of 267 mothers are collected and analyzed. To measure the variables, the ECR-R(Experience in Close Relationship-Revised Scale), Mentalization Questionnaire, Mother Mentalization, and Parenting Behaviors Questionnaire are included in the survey. Data were analyzed by using SPSS 26.0 and SPSS PROCESS Macro program. The major results of this study were as follows. First, Pearson's corelation analysis was conducted to examine the relationship between Mother's attachment anxiety and attachment avoidance, Mentalization, Mother Mentalization, and Parenting Behaviors. As a result, Mother's attachment anxiety was positively correlated with the negative parenting behaviors, whereas it was negatively correlated with Mentalization, Mother Mentalization, and positive parenting behaviors. Mother's attachment avoidance showed a similar trend. Second, the result of the mediating analysis according to the procedure of PROCESS Macro to verify the mediating effects of Mother's adult attachment, Mentalization, and Parenting Behavior demonstrated that Mother's attachment anxiety had a influence on mother's positive and negative parenting behaviors through the Mentalization. Also, The Mentalization had complete mediating effect between Mother's attachment avoidance and positive parenting behaviors, and had a influence on negative behaviors. Third, The Mother Mentalization exerted mediating role in the relationship between Mother's attachment anxiety and positive & negative parenting behaviors. Also, The Mother Mentalization had complete mediating effect between Mother's attachment avoidance and positive & negative parenting behaviors. Forth, the relationship between Mother's attachment anxiety & avoidance showd dual mediation effects of Mentalization and Mother mentalization. Finally, the implications and limitations for future study were discussed.
