기하학 단위 형태를 응용한 바디 오너먼트 연구

Abstract

패션은 단지 의복으로서의 기능만을 의미하는 것이 아니라 고유의 미적 가치를 표현하는 매개체이다. 또한 패션을 보면 시대의 정치, 경제, 사회, 문화가 배경에 자리 잡고 있다는 것을 알 수 있다. 급속도로 변화하는 사회의 현대인들에게 현대적 미감에 근접한 기하학적 형태는 인류의 가장 근본적이고 원천적인 토지 측량을 위해 도형을 연구하는 데서 기원하였다. 기하학적 형태의 요소는 끊임없이 연구되어 온 예술 소재로서 바쁜 현대화 시대 속에서 미니멀리즘을 구현하는 사람들에게 명료한 형태와 단순화된 기능의 합리적인 구조로써 현대 패션의 구조적이고 아트적인 소재로 다양하게 보이고 있다. 기하학의 도형의 단위 형태를 응용하여 조형적 특징을 바탕으로 바디 오너먼트의 3차원의 입체적인 형태를 금속의 소재를 활용하여 바디 오너먼트의 표현 영역을 확대하는 것에 목적이 있다. 내구성이 강하고 점, 선, 면의 섬세하고 정확한 표현을 살리고자 금속 중에서 황동을 사용하였으며 단위 형태의 결합을 위해 모듈형태로 만들어 기존의 선행연구와의 차별성을 두고자 한다. 본 연구는 모두 다른 체형을 갖고 있지만 동일한 신체적, 조형적 구조를 바탕으로 단조로울 수 있는 의상에 바디 오너먼트 라는 의미의 예술적 측면을 강조하기 위해 기하학적 도형의 조형적인 선과 형을 모티프로 조형의 원리를 이용하고 배열 방식을 살펴보았다. 바디 오너먼트의 개념 및 역사, 소재 종류 및 특징을 알아보고 현대패션에 나타난 바디 오너먼트 사례를 분석하고자 한다. 본 연구의 내용과 방법은 이론적 배경의 연구를 위한 문헌조사와 참고 작품을 수집, 분석하였고, 분석한 이론적 배경을 토대로 기하학 도형의 단위 형태 이미지를 바디 오너먼트에 응용한 실물 작품 5벌과 함께 착장 의상 5벌을 제작 하고자 한다. 본 연구를 통해 얻은 결론은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 원, 삼각형, 사각형의 기본적인 기하학적 단위 형태는 작품의 모티프로 삼고 간결하고 합리적인 조형의 형태 구축에 있어서 합리적인 배열을 통해 하나의 조형물로서 3차원의 입체적이고 구조적 이미지를 창출하기에 적합하다. 둘째, 기하학적 형태의 도형들을 배열 하면서 나타나는 조형적 특징을 발견하였고 요소와 원리를 전제로 배열로 구성되었을 때 다양한 형태로 구현하고자 한다. 각 작품에는 통일과 대비, 비례와 반복, 조화와 반복, 점이와 반복, 조화와 대비 등 다양한 원리를 바탕으로 전개시켜서 단위형태를 연결하여 유기적인 3차원의 조형적 바디 오너먼트로 확장이 가능하였다. 셋째, 바디 오너먼트의 표현은 기하학 도형의 정확한 형태 표현을 위해서 금속 중 황동을 사용하였고, 실질적으로 황동은 금과 은에 비해 가볍고 경제적인 측면에서 합리적이었다. 넷째, 바디 오너먼트는 신체와의 조화를 위해 가죽 원피스 드레스는 천연가죽의 몸에 붙는 기본 라인의 실루엣으로 제작하여 시각적으로 최소화 하였고 바디 오너먼트의 시각적인 집중을 강조하는데 적합하였다. 본 연구는 기하학 도형의 단위 형태를 응용하여 바디 오너먼트로 표현한 것으로 조형적 특징을 바탕으로 기하학 도형을 배열한 결과 다양한 형태의 변화와 3차원의 입체적인 조형물로서의 가능성을 확인할 수 있었다. 본 연구를 통해 장신구가 신체로 표현의 영역이 확장되어 다양한 연구들이 이어지길 기대한다.;Fashion does not just mean the function as a cloth, but it means a medium that expresses its own aesthetic value. If you look at fashion, you can see that the politics, economy, society, and culture of the times are in its background. Geometric patterns, which are close to the aesthetics of modern people living in a rapidly changing society, are originated from the study of figures for the land survey, the most fundamental and essential thing of mankind. The element of the most geometric form is an artistic material that has been constantly studied and it is seen in various ways as a structural and artistic material of modern fashion as a rational structure of clear form and simplified function for those who implement minimalism in the busy modern era. Geometric shapes, starting from the field of mathematics that studies the relationship between the most basic things for analyzing nature such as points, straight lines, curves, surfaces, and volumes, are characterized by concise and rational shapes. The expression method and utilization of geometry are widely applied in various fields, and in this respect, it is necessary to study the formative research in fashion by transforming the geometric three-dimensional form. Fashion, which is evaluated as a formative art, expresses a three-dimensional space modeling or structural form of clothing, which expresses the clothes of structural form such as architectural design or space design. The purpose of this study is to expand the expression area with body ornaments using jewelry by repeating and combining the formative lines and shapes of geometric figures as motifs to emphasize the artistic aspect of the meaning of body ornaments in clothes that can be monotonous based on the same physical formative structure, although we all have different body shapes. For the theoretical background, literature review was performed, and reference works were collected and analyzed. Based on then, works were produced. Through the theoretical background, the concept and origin of geometric shapes and the formative characteristics of geometric shapes were analyzed, and examples of modern fashion design were examined. In addition, the definition, history, types and characteristics of body ornaments were examined, and contemporary fashion body ornament designs were analyzed. Using the geometric shape as the motif of jewelry, it was produced in an organic form through repeated combinations, and it was attempted to artistically express the beauty of the modern aesthetic. Based on the analyzed theoretical background, five pieces of costumes were produced along with five pieces of jewelry to which shape image of geometric figures are applied. The conclusions obtained through this study are as follows. First, the basic geometric unit shapes of circles, triangles, and squares are suitable for creating three-dimensional and structural images, taking them as the motifs of the work and creating a single form through repetition and combination. Second, the flat image of the two-dimensional geometric figure was reconstructed into a more intense and rhythmic form, giving a three-dimensional sense of the three-dimensional figure. Third, based on simplicity which includes the properties of geometrical order, it combined with the characteristics of metal to show visual stability as a prototype of precise form and durable geometric figure. Fourth, it is effective in expressing the formative originality of organic geometry that can move through the repetitive combination of units and shapes of units.
