H.Vieuxtemps 작품에 관한 연구

Abstract

본 연구는 낭만주의 시대 작곡가인 비외탕(Henri Vieuxtemps)의 음악적 특징에 관한 연구이다. 낭만주의는 이상적인 세계를 표현하고자‘romance’로부터 유래되었다. 이 시대의 음악은 1830년대 그 개념이 구체화 되었으며, 창의적이고 독창성을 중시하였다. 비외탕은 파가니니(Niccolo Paganini), 사라사테(Pablo de Sarasate), 요하임(Joseph Joachim), 비에니아프스키(Henryk Wieniawski)와 함께 19세기를 대표하는 5대 바이올린 주자 겸 작곡가이다. 그는 총 7개의 바이올린 협주곡과 2개의 첼로 협주곡, 3개의 실내악곡과 4개의 비올라 소나타를 작곡하였으며, 이전시대와 다른 다양하고 새로운 작곡기법으로 낭만주의에 적합한 작곡가로 평가받는다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 그의 주요작품인 「Sonata in B-flat Major for Viola and Piano, Op.36」을 통해 비외탕만의 음악적 특징에 대해 알아보고자 하였다. 본 작품은 비슷한 시기에 작곡된 「Violin Concerto No 5 in A Minor」와 달리 비올라만의 중후한 매력이 잘 드러난 드라마틱한 구조를 나타내며, 악장마다 기존의 소나타 형식을 변형, 탈피하여 낭만주의의 새로운 방향성을 제시하였다. 일반적인 곡의 형태와 달리 본 작품은 3악장으로 구성되었으며, 1악장을 제외한 각 악장의 부제는 Barcarolla (2악장), Finale scherzando (3악장)로 구성되었다. 2악장은 세도막 형식과는 조금 다른 형태인 5부 형식이며, 1악장에 서주를 포함한 점과 변주곡 등을 사용했다는 점에서 전통적인 흐름과 크게 다르지 않은 것으로 판단된다. 또한 고전주의부터 낭만주의 초기까지의 일반적인 흐름인 2악장의 서브도미넌트 조(원 조의 5도 아래) 진행과 다르게, 본 작품은 2악장이 G단조(원 조의 나란한조)로 진행된 것이 특징이다. 비외탕은 다양한 독주곡과 협주곡을 남겼으며, 현재 낭만주의 시대 음악 확장에 크게 기여한 작곡가 겸 연주자로 인정받는다.;This is the study on musical characteristics of Henri Vieuxtemps, a composer in the era of Romanticism. Romanticism, which was to express an ideal world, originated from the word of “Romance” The concept of the Romantic music was materialized in the 1830’s, where creativity and originality were considered important. Vieuxtemps is a representative violinist and composer along with Niccolo Paganini, Pablo de Sarasate, Joseph Joachim and Henryk Wieniawski in the 19th century. He composed 7 violin concertos, 2 cello concertos, 3 chamber music pieces and 4 viola sonatas. He is thought to be a composer suitable for the era of Romantism due to his new and various composition skills which were different from those in the former era. Accordingly, this study has researched his unique musical characteristics through his major musical work of「Sonata in B-flat Major for Viola and Piano, Op.36」This work is of a dramatic structure showing a great deal of stately attraction unique to the viola unlike「Violin Concerto No 5 in A Minor」composed around the same time. Each movement of the work modified and grew out of the existing Sonata form to suggest the direction of Romanticism. Unlike the forms of common pieces at that time, it is composed of 3 movements, the second and the third of which are Barcarolla and Finale Scherzando. The second movement has not 3 but 5 parts. In that the introduction and the variation are in the first movement, it is considered to have the trend not very different from the traditional one. In addition, unlike the subdominant chord (5 notes lower than the original) in the second movement which was the common trend from Classism to the early Romantism, the second movement of this work progresses with G Minor (the key relative to the original). Henri Vieuxtemps, having left a variety of solos and concertos, is acknowledged as a composer and performer who made a great contribution to the expansion of music in the era of Romanticism.
