Sergei Prokofiev의 Violin Sonata No.2 Op.94a에 관한 분석 및 연구

Abstract

세르게이 프로코피에프(Sergei Prokofiev 1891-1953)는 20세기의 대표적인 러시아 작곡가이다. 20세기는 정치적, 시대적, 사회적, 경제적인 변화로 인하여 음악에 많은 변화를 가져왔다. 그 시기에 그는 피아노곡, 실내악, 협주곡, 교향곡, 오페라, 영화음악 등 많은 작품을 작곡하였다. 프로코피에프의 20세기 초반 작품에는 고전시대의 형식적 개념을 포함하며 새로운 소재를 더하여 현대음악으로써 새로운 가능성을 추구하는 신고전주의 음악을 볼 수 있다. 그는 현대적 경향에 고전적인 형식과 러시아 특유의 민속적인 색채를 더하여 자신만의 음악을 만들었다. 그의 작품은 현대에 이르기까지 러시아 음악의 전통을 정통적으로 계승하며 발전시킨 음악가라고 말할 수 있을 것이다. Prokofiev Violin Sonata No.2 Op.94는 총 4악장으로 구성되어 있으며 프로코피에프 특유의 익살, 풍자, 유머러스함이 담겨있는 것을 볼 수 있고 서정적인 선율이 바탕이 되어 색채적인 관현악법의 표현이 특징이다. 이 곡은 원래 1943년에 플루트를 위한 소나타로 작곡이 되었는데 바이올리니스트 다비드 오이스트라흐(David Oistrakh)의 제안으로 바이올린 소나타로 개작이 되었다. 본 논문에서는 러시아의 정치와 시대적 상황을 토대로 프로코피에프의 생애를 알아보고 작품을 시기별로 구분하였다. 신고전주의와 그의 작곡 어법을 5가지로 분류하여 음악적 특징을 조사하였고 프로코피에프의 작품에서 나타난 특징과 악보를 바탕으로 Violin Sonata No.2 Op.94를 분석하여 프로코피에프의 음악세계를 고찰해보고자 한다.;Sergei Prokofiev(1891-1953) was a representative composer of the twentieth century. The twentieth century brought about many changes to music due to political, periodic, social, and economic transitions. At the time, he composed a number of pieces including piano tunes, chamber music, concerto, symphony, opera, and soundtracks. Prokofiev’s works from the early twentieth century are neoclassical music seeking new possibilities as modern music, with new material added to formal classical concepts. He created his own music by combining classical forms and Russian traditional colors into the modern trend. To this day, his work succeeds and develops traditional Russian music. Prokofiev Violin Sonata No.2 Op.94 comprises four movements in total. It has Prokofiev’s characteristic satire and humor. With lyrical melody in the background, it features colorful instrumentation. This piece was originally composed as a Sonata for the flute in 1943, but was remade into a violin Sonata, following a suggestion from the violinist David Oistrakh. This paper studies the life of Prokofiev based on the political and periodic background of Russia and categorizes his works by time periods. It examines the musical characteristics of his composition grammar by classifying Neoclassicism and it into five kinds. It also seeks to consider Prokofiev’s world of music by analyzing Violin Sonata No.2 Op.94 based on scores and characteristics of his works.
