질 들뢰즈의 주름사유를 바탕으로 한 무용창작작품 「Plié, 무한의 순간」에 나타난 표현의 의미에 관한 연구

Abstract

현대의 예술은 과학기술의 발달과 자본주의를 기저로 쏟아지는 이미지들과 함께 쉼 없이 변화하며 다양한 형태로 범위가 확대되었다. 오늘날 춤 예술은 하나의 담론으로 정의할 수 없을 만큼 다양한 변화 속에서 유영하고 있으며, 첨단의 기술과 결합에 의한 다원화된 형태의 작업 방식으로 이루어지고 있다. 시공간의 개념을 뛰어넘게 하는 디지털 미디어와의 결합과 같은 춤 형태는 예술의 영역을 확장시켜 주었으나 신체에 내재된 근본적인 생성의 원리에 대한 의미를 재고하게 한다. 질 들뢰즈(Gilles Deleuze)의‘주름’개념은 고트프리트 라이프니츠(Gottfried Wilhelm Leibniz)를 바로크 문화 안에서 새롭게 해석하여 접힘과 펼쳐짐이라는 연속적인 창조의 과정으로 세계를 바라보았으며, 신체에 내재된 생성의 힘을 말하고 있다. 본 연구는 질 들뢰즈의 바로크 해석인‘주름(pli)’사유를 작품에 적용해 봄으로써 주름개념을 무용의 기본동작이자 모든 움직임의 연결지점인 ‘쁠리에(plié)’와 연결시켜 움직임 생성의 원리를 사유하고자 하였다. 연구자는 생성과 소멸, 무한의 문제와 같은 보이지 않는 것을 보이게 하는 힘에 주목하여 주름사유를 무용창작작품「Plié, 무한의 순간」에 적용해 보고자 하였다. 들뢰즈의 라이프니츠와 바로크 연구인 주름사유는 개인이자 사회 속에 한 부분으로 존재하는 것들을 전체가 분리되지 않는 주름이라는 요소로 바라보았으며, 이 세계는 주름 접혀있다는 사고를 통해 새로운 세계관에 대한 초입을 제공하였다. 복합성으로 생성의 원리를 설명하는 잠재된 힘의 가능성을 담은 주름 개념은 본 연구자에게 창작 작품의 소재이자 구부림이라는 신체 움직임의 원리와 연계되어 적용되는 철학과 관련된다. 주름은 한 부분 속에 무한한 다른 부분들이 중첩되어 복수성의 구조를 가지고 있는 유기체적 형상과 같다. 이와 같은 특징은 오늘날의 복잡성의 세계관에서 강조하고 있는 부분과 전체의 관계성이며, 한 개체의 발생과 구조를 포함함과 동시에 세계에 대한 이미지를 상징하고 있다. 주름은 하나의 존재가 지니는 여러 면들과 복합적으로 존재하는 양상을 보여주며, 그 차이들을 함께 반영한다. 또한 고행과도 같은 수축의 억제 끝에서 발산적 측면의 양면성이 어우러지며 무한으로 나르는 순간을 만들어내어 다의성에 도달한다. 주름은 모든 것으로 이행되고 접힘과 펼쳐짐을 통한 생성이라는 원리를 내포하는 끝없는 다양성의 변주는 연구자의 작품에서 의도하는 바이다. 본 연구는 인간의 움직임과 작품의 표현활동이 인간이 그토록 염원했던 무한함을 담은 생성의 순간이 될 수 있음을 표현하고자 하였다. 이에 따라 무용창작작품 「Plié, 무한의 순간」은 무한히 연속되는 생성의 구현이라는 주제를 신체에 담아내고 비가시적인 주름사유를 작품에 드러내고자 하였다. 이에 따라 주름사유에 대한 문헌자료를 통하여 무용창작작품 「Plié, 무한의 순간」의 주제와 내용을 설정하였으며 작품에서 주름사유를 통한 표현의 의미를 드러내는 형식과 방법에 있어서 주름사유를 과학적, 철학적, 예술적 관점에서 접근하였다. 작품은 총 3장의 구성으로 함축-전개-복합화로 전개되어지며, 1장 ‘함축’의 장면은 잠재적 세계를 표현하고자 우리가 인지하지 못하는 무한의 질서가 내포된 카오스모스적 세계를 표현한 장이다. 이에 접혀진 무한한 질서와 펼쳐진 특정 질서가 공존하는 다의적 표현을 통해 파편화된 다양성이라는 표현의 방식을 끌어내었다. 이러한 표현방식으로 1장에서는 실험적 표현으로의 불확정성이라는 의미를 나타내었다. 2장은 바로크의 특질을 담아내는 ‘전개’의 장면으로 접혀있던 무한한 규정성이 펼쳐지며 특정한 형태로 생성되는 모습을 나타내고자 하였다. 그림자와 같이 존재하였던 각 무용수의 잠재적 사건이 장면의 전환을 통해 실제적인 형상으로 드러나게 되는 과정을 표현하였다. 바로크적 선율 가운데 분리와 통합의 순간이 교차적으로 이루어지며 특정 질서가 나타나게 하였으며 중첩을 통한 복수성이 드러나게 되는 바로크 예술의 특성이 반영된 장면을 통해 구성적 표현으로의 연결성이라는 의미를 끌어내었다. 3장은 연속적인 상호표현의 과정을 나타낸‘복합화’의 장면으로 앞선 파트의 부분들이 연결되어 새로운 하나의 동작구를 형성하게 되고 흔적을 남기는 것과 같이 드러났다가 사라지는 순간을 나타내었다. 그러나 그 자리에는 접힘과 펼쳐짐을 따라 다른 가능세계들과의 만남으로 연결되며 유한자의 무한함이 열려있음을 말하며 무한으로 이행되는 순간을 표현하고자 하였다. 이를 형상화하는 과정을 통해 차이로 반복되는 연속성이라는 열림의 순간을 표현함으로써 가변적 표현으로의 확장성이라는 의미를 드러내게 되었다. 주름을 고찰하는 것은 주름의 개체성, 그 개체들의 복수성, 운동성의 개념을 모두 포함하는 것이다. 또한 그 개념들이 하나의 총체적 세계 안에 서로 의지하며 공존하고 있음을 받아들이는 것이다. 이와 같은 주름의 개념들은 무용 안무 작업을 풍성하게 해주는 원동력임과 동시에 작품 세계의 다의성을 구축하게 해준다. 주름은 수축의 욕망이 발산의 염원을 가장 작게 응축시킨 자기표현의 한 형태이고, 발산하고자하는 욕망의 근원에는 끊임없이 그 욕망의 본질로 되돌아가고자 하는 수렴의 욕구가 숨어 있음도 확인하게 한다. 그러므로 주름은 이분법에 머물지 않고 그것들이 한편에서는 자기의 흐름을 차단하고, 또 한편에서는 이를 드러내며 단일한 세계 내에서의 다양한 울림을 구성한다. 본 연구는 무용창작에 있어서 잠재적 힘을 발현시키는 개념으로 표현의 의미와 가치를 드러내고, 안무에 있어서 생성의 원리를 바탕으로 한 표현의 가능성을 제시하는 것에 의의가 있다.;Contemporary art is ceaselessly changing with the development of science and technology and images pouring capitalism on the base, and its scope expanded to various forms. Today, dance art is played in a variety of changes that cannot be defined by a single discourse, and is carried out in a multidisciplinary form of work by cutting-edge technology and combination. Dancing forms, such as combining with digital media that transcend the concept of time and space, have expanded the realm of art but reconsider the meaning of the fundamental principles of creation inherent in the body. Deleuze's "Le Pli" concept has looked at the world as a continuous process of creation, folding and unfolding, by newly interpreting Leibniz in Baroque culture, and refers to the power of creation inherent in the body. By applying the reason for "Pli" the Baroque interpretation of Gilles Deleuze, to the work, the study tried to justify the principle of motion creation by linking the fold concept with "Plié" the basic movement of dance and the connection point of all movements. The researcher wanted to apply the reason for "Plié" to the dance creation, noting the power to make invisible things visible, such as creation, extinction and infinite problems. The reason for the "Le Pli", a study by Deleuze's Leibniz and Baroque, saw the existence of individuals and a part of society as a factor of "Le Pli" that did not separate parts from the whole, and this world provided an entry into the new worldview through the thought of being "Le Pli". The "Plié" concept, which embodies the potential of potential forces that explain the principle of creation by complexity, is applied to this researcher as a material of the creative work and a philosophy that is applied in conjunction with the principle of body motion called bending. "Plié" is like organic shapes in which infinite different parts overlap in one part and have a structure of plurality. These features are the relationships of the whole with the parts emphasized in today's worldview of complexity, and they include the creation and structure of an object, while also representing an image of the world. "Plié" show the complexities of existence with the various aspects of one being, and reflect the differences together. In addition, the two sides of the divergent side blend in at the end of the inhibition of high-happiness contraction and create an infinite carrying moment to reach polymorphism. The constant variation of diversity that embodies the principle of "Plié" being carried out into everything and produced through folding and unfolding is intended in the work of the researcher. This study wanted to express that human movement and expression of work could be a moment of creation that contains the infinity that humans have so longed for. Accordingly, the dance creation work, "Plié Infinite Moment" intended to capture the theme of the implementation of infinite series of generation and reveal the reasons for non-visible "Plié" in the work. Accordingly, the theme and contents of the dance creative work "Plié Infinite Moment" was set up through the literature on the reasons for "Plié", and the reasons for "Plié" was approached from a scientific, philosophical and artistic perspective in the form and method of revealing the meaning of expression through the reasons for "Plié" in the work. The work consists of three chapters, consisting of three scenes of implication-deployment-complexation, in which in Chapter 1, the chapter describes a chaosmostic(chaos+cosmos) world with infinite order that we do not recognize to express a potential world, which leads to the way of expression fragmented diversity through multiple expressions of infinite folded and specific order. In this way, Chapter 1 indicated uncertainty as an experimental expression. Chapter 2 was intended to show the infinite regulation that had been folded into the scene of "Deployment," which captures the characteristics of Baroque, and to show the formation of certain forms. Each dancer's potential event, which existed like a shadow, expressed the process of being revealed in a realistic shape through the transformation of the scene, and the moment of separation and integration among the baroque melodies was intersected, resulting in a specific order. Revenge through overlap was revealed, bringing out the meaning of "connectivity to organizational expression" as a scene that reflects the characteristics of Baroque art. Chapter 3 shows the moment when the parts of the preceding part are connected to form a new movement ball and reveal and disappear, such as leaving a trace in the scene of "compounding" showing the process of successive cross-expression. However, the place was connected by folding and meeting with other possible worlds and wanted to express the infinite openness of the finite character and the infinite transition moment. Through the process of embodying this, the expression of the open moment of continuity repeated by difference revealed the meaning of scalability to variable expression. To consider "Le Pli" is to include all the concepts of the objectivity of "Plié", the plurality of those objects, and the motility. It is also to accept that the concepts co-exist and depend on each other in one holistic world. These "Plié" concepts are the driving force behind the richness of dance choreography and also help build the versatility of the work world. "Plié" is a form of self-expression in which the desire to contract is the smallest condensation of the desire to give birth, and at the source of the desire to give off, there will also be a hidden desire for convergence to return to the essence of the desire. Therefore, instead of staying in dichotomy, we will look at them as forming a variety of echoes within a single world, blocking its own flow on one side and revealing on the other.
