한지사 원단을 활용한 패션디자인 연구

Abstract

오늘날의 패션 분야에 있어서 패션 소재의 색다른 표현 방식을 위해 많은 기술적 시도가 이루어지고 있다. 그러나 첨단 기술의 발전에도 불구하고, 기계가 표현해낼 수 있는 소재의 입체적이고, 디테일한 예술적 표현에는 한계점이 있다. 따라서 창의적인 예술 표현의 한 수단으로 다양한 수공예적 방법이 시도되고 있다. 이는 전통과 현대가 적절하게 접목되어 새로운 스타일로 발전시키고자 하는 노력의 일환이다. 이에 따라 현대 패션 분야에서는 기계가 표현하기 어려운 구조적이고, 복잡한 패브릭을 아날로그적 방식을 통해 구현해내고 있다. 또한 패션업계에서는 지속적으로 회자되고 있는 환경친화적인 소재의 사용과 확대방안을 모색하고 있다.이에 본 연구는 다양한 마크라메 기법을 응용하여 소재 표면의 시각적 효과를 위한 장식적인 소재 기법의 한 축으로 제시하고, 패션디자인의 표현 영역의 확대에 기여하는데 목적을 두었다. 또한 마크라메의 재료로 한지사 원단을 활용하여 패션소재로서의 잠재성을 상기시키고자 한다. 본 연구의 내용과 방법은 다음과 같다. 이론적 배경을 통해 한지사의 개념과 변천 과정, 특성, 제조과정 등을 분석하고 이를 응용한 현대 패션 디자인 사례를 분석한다. 또 마크라메의 개념과 형성 배경, 기법의 종류와 특징을 파악하고 분류한 뒤 이를 활용한 현대 패션 디자인 사례를 살펴본다. 앞서 분석한 이론적 배경을 바탕으로 디자인을 전개하고, 마크라메 기법을 응용한 실물 작품 5벌을 제작한다. 본 연구를 통해 얻은 결론은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 한지사는 한지의 특성을 그대로 살린 닥 섬유 원단사로, 원단으로 제직과 편직, 다른 섬유와의 복합사로 인한 원단 제작이 가능해져 친환경 신소재로서의 가치와 시장에서의 확대가능성을 기대해볼 수 있었다. 둘째, 한지사 원단을 다시 테이프사의 형태로 잘라 의상을 제작하는 과정에서 올풀림현상이 없어 마크라메 의상제작에 용이했으며, 한지로 인한 원단 표면의 요철감으로 인해 시각적, 촉각적으로 러프한 표면효과를 얻을 수 있었다. 이에 한지사 원단의 사용은 마크라메의 부조적 재질감이 더욱 강조되는 효과가 있어 독특한 조형미를 창출한다. 셋째, 일반적인 마크라메용 져지원단과 비교해 한지사 원단은 중량감이 가벼워 의상 제작에 용이했으며, 시각적 중량감 또한 가벼웠다. 넷째, 마크라메 기본 기법인 평 매듭은 의상의 면을 채우기에 적합했으며, 클로브 히치 매듭은 선을 채우는데 적합함과 동시에 힘이 필요한 부분에 심지의 역할을 했다. 또한 매듭의 수와 크기, 밀도를 초기에 설정할 수 있어 같은 원사로 다양한 조형적 표현이 가능했다. 평 매듭과 클로브 히치 매듭의 응용 매듭과 방향의 전환, 반전 등을 통해 입체적인 형태의 패턴과 오브제를 제작할 수 있어 즉흥적 표현이 가능했으며, 발전된 형태의 암홀 디자인을 전개할 수 있었다. 매듭의 여백과 간격의 조절을 통해 다트없이 신체의 굴곡을 살릴 수 있었으며, 인체와 의상 사이의 투시적 효과를 의도할 수 있었다. 다섯째, 다양한 재료의 적용이 가능한 마크라메 소재의 실용적 측면에 따라, 폐기될 의류나 원단 또한 커팅해 마크라메 재료로 쓸 수 있다는 점에서 자원의 순환이라는 의의를 찾을 수 있었다. 본 연구는 한지사 원단을 활용한 마크라메 패션디자인 연구로, 한지사 원단이 가지는 장점과 확대가능성을 확인할 수 있었으며, 다양한 마크라메 기법이 장식적, 입체적인 패브릭 표현을 실현함을 알 수 있었다. 이를 바탕으로 패션 분야에서 마크라메가 다른 소재, 기법과 결합되어 새로운 이미지 창출에 활용되기를 기대한다.;In today's fashion world, many technical attempts are being made to create a different way of expressing clothing materials. However, despite advances in advanced technology, there are limitations to the three-dimensional, complex material representation of the fabric that machines can express, limiting the developm ent of more creative designs. Therefore, various handicrafts are being attempted as a means of creative artistic expression. This is part of efforts to develop a new style by properly combining tradition and modernity. As a result, structural and complex materials that are difficult for machines to express in the modern fashion sector are being implemented through analog methods. It is also focusing on developing new environmentally friendly materials considering the sustainability that is constantly being talked about in the fashion industry. Thus, this study aims to apply various macrame techniques to present them as an axis of decorative fabric techniques for visual effects, and to contribute to the expansion of the area of expression in fashion design. We also want to remind you of our potential as a fashion material by utilizing hanji, an eco-friendly material, as a material for macrame. The contents and methods of this study are as follows. Through the theoretical background, we analyze the concept, transition process, characteristics, and manufa cturing process of Hanji yarn and analyze modern fashion design cases that apply it.It will also identify and clas sify the concept, background of formation, types and characteristics of Macrame, and examine examples of m odern fashion designs that utilize them. Based on the theoretical background analyzed earlier, the design will be developed and five real works will be produced using the Macrame technique. The conclusions obtained from this study are as follows. First, Hanji yarn is a dak fabric yarn that emphasizes the characteristics of hanji, and it is possible to manufacture weaving,knitting and other textile combinations, so it was possible to expect its value as an eco-friendly new material and expandability in the market. Second, it was easy to make a Macrame costume because there was no run in the process of cutting the fabric of Hanji back into the form of a tape company, and the unevenness of the fabric surface caused gave a rough surface effect visually and tactically. so, the use of the hanji yarn fabric has the embossing effect of Macrame, creating a unique beauty of sculpture. Third, compared to the general macrame yarn, the hanji yarn fabric was lightweight and easy to produce costumes, and the visual weight was also light due to its low actual weight. Fourth, the macrame basic technique, the flat knot, was suitable for filling the face of the costume, while the clove hitch knot, it was suitable for filling the line, served as a wick for areas requiring force. In addition, the number, size, and density of knots can be set in the early stages, enabling various formative expressions with the same kind of yarn. Three-dimensional patterns and objects could be produced through the application of flat knots and clove hitch knots, inversion of direction, etc., and the development of arm-hole designs. The visual effects between the human body and the garment through the adjustment of the margin and spacing of the knots were also visible. Fifth, according to the practical aspects of the Macrame, which can be applied to various materials, it was meaningful in that the clothing or fabric that would be discarded could also be cut and used as a macrame material. This study was a macrame fashion design study using hanji yarn fabric. it showed the advantages and expandability of hanji yarn and showed that various Macrame techniques realized decorative and three-dimensional fabric expressions. Based on this, it was possible to identify the possibility of macrame combined with other materials and techniques in the fashion sector to be used to create new images.
