Edvard Grieg Violin Sonata No. 3 in c minor, Op. 45의 분석 및 연구

Abstract

본 논문은 저자의 석사과정 연주회에서 연주하였던 작품 Edvard Grieg(1843~1907) 의 「Violin Sonata No. 3 in c minor, Op. 45」의 세 악장을 분석함으로서 그의 생애와 시대적 배경, 그리고 연주자의 곡에 대한 이해를 돕고, 작품이 내포하고 있는 노르웨이 민족적 음악에 대한 깊이 있는 해석을 통해 하나의 작품이 어떤 시대적 배경과 개인적 환경, 그가 살고 있던 지리적 배경 등의 영향에 대해 심도있게 분석하고자 한다. 그리그는 낭만파에 가까우면서도 향토색을 강하게 드러내는 곡들을 속속 작곡하며 노르웨이의 국민성을 음악으로 표현하게 된다. 바이올린 소나타 3번은 그가 20대 후반에 작곡했던 초반의 작품 두 개와 상당한 시간적 격차를 둔 뒤, 이미 음악가로써 명성을 날리던 1887년에 작곡되었다. 이 소나타 3번은 1,2번에 비해 더욱 민족적 색채가 강한 작품으로 평가 되고 있으며. 노르웨이 춤곡 풍과 민속적 리듬, 선율이 더욱 돋보이고 지속음과 반음계적 진행이 자주 사용되었으며, 내적으로는 음악성의 깊이가 더해져 앞의 바이올린 소나타들과 차별화된 작품으로 알려져 있다.;This paper analyzes the three movements of Violin Sonata No. 3 in c minor, Op. 45 by Norwegian composer Edvard Grieg. The purpose is to help performers understand their songs and support their successful performance. The skill of the performer is important when playing a song, but subjective interpretation of the song is also important too. Therefore, the performer must have an overall understanding of the song. During the period and growth of Norway in the 19th century, Grieg established the framework of Norwegian nationalist works, influenced by the European music trends of that time, the nationalism. By giving a concerto-like effect to the sonata, it maximizes the skill and emotion of the violin, while maintaining the balance with the piano. And traditional Norwegian folk dance songs and lyrical songs appear as motifs. These motifs consist of a few nodes in a small way. But from a big point of view, it constantly changes and develops throughout the entire movement.
