양성평등을 고려한 고전 시가 교육방안

Abstract

본 연구는 양성평등을 고려한 고전 시가 교육방안 모색을 목적으로 한다. 연구의 필요성은 첫째, 양 성별의 갈등이 사회 문제로서 대두되어 양성평등 교육이 사회적 요구가 되었다. 둘째, 교과서에 수록된 고전 시가 작품이 화자의 성별에 따라 한정된 주제와 태도를 보여 학습자가 무의식적으로 성 전형성을 내면화할 위험이 있다. 이는 성차별로 재생산될 우려가 있으며, 미래를 설계하는 청소년기 학습자가 자유의지로 진로를 선택하는 것을 방해한다. 2015개정 고등학교 『문학』 교과서에 수록된 고전 시가를 대상으로 화자 성별에 따른 작품 주제와 화자 태도에 드러난 성 전형성을 살펴보았다. 여성 화자가 등장하는 작품은 주제가 사랑과 이별로 한정적이었다. 화자는 임과의 관계 속에서 존재하며 임에게 종속된 태도를 보였다. 이에 주제의 다양성을 위해 자연과 교감하며 풍류를 즐기는 작품과 사회 풍자를 주제로 하는 작품을 제시하였다. 또한, 이별에 연연하지 않는 태도를 보이는 작품을 제시하고 기존 작품을 심화적으로 해석하여 단순히 임에 대한 그리움과 원망으로 해석하지 않고 화자 태도의 다양성을 보여주고자 하였다. 남성 화자가 등장하는 작품의 경우 주제가 유교적 이념과 밀접한 관련이 있었다. 유교적 이념을 다루다보니 화자의 진솔한 심정을 토로하는 작품이 부족했다. 이에 연인과 친구에 대한 애정을 드러내는 작품을 제시하였다. 화자와의 동일시를 통해 작품을 수용하는 학습자들이 자신의 감정을 진솔하게 표현하는 작품을 경험하여 실제 학습자의 삶에서 역시 정서 표현에 자유로워지게 하기 위함이다. 유교적 이념과 도덕적 윤리를 이야기하는 화자는 현대의 학습자에게 다소 지루해 보일 수 있다. 언어유희를 즐기는 현대 학습자에 맞춰 화자가 놀이로서 시가를 노래하는 작품을 수록하였다. 기존의 딱딱한 이미지에서 벗어나 학습자의 흥미도 이끌 수 있다. 양성평등을 고려한 교육적 모색을 통해 기존의 성 전형성 내면화를 경계함으로써 성차에 의한 차별적 시각을 형성하지 않고, 나아가 양성평등 의식을 함양한 인재로서 성장하기를 바란다.;The purpose of this study is to explore the educational methods of classical poetry in consideration of gender equality. First, the need for research has emerged as a social problem, and gender equality education has become a social demand. Second, there is a risk that learners will unconsciously internalize gender stereotypes as works of classical poetry in textbooks show limited themes and attitudes depending on the speaker's gender. This is feared to be reproduced by gender differences, preventing adolescent learners who will design the future from choosing a career path of their free will. For the classical poetry contained in the 2015 Revised High School Literature textbook, we looked at the gender typicality of the work and the gender typicality revealed in the attitude of the speech. The themes of the work featuring female speakers were limited to love and separation. The speaker was in a relationship with her lover and was subordinate to her lover. Thus, for the sake of the diversity of the subject, works that interact with nature and enjoy customs and works on social satire were presented. In addition, we wanted to present works that showed attitudes that were not attached to parting and to further interpret the existing works to show the diversity of the speakers’ attitudes, rather than simply interpreting them as longing or resentment for the person. In the case of works featuring male speakers, the themes were closely related to Confucian ideology. When dealing with Confucian ideology, there was a lack of works which expressed the true feelings of the speaker. One speaker presented a work that shows his affection for his lover and friends. This is to allow learners who accept works through the same poem with the speaker to experience works that express their feelings honestly, making them free from emotional expression in the real learner's life, too. A speaker who talks about Confucian ideology and moral ethics may seem somewhat boring to modern learners who tend to enjoy language play or speaker-sung poetry as a play. It can also lead to the learner's interests departing from conventional hard images. There is hope that by preventing the internalization of existing gender stereotypes through educational search considering gender equality, we will not form a discriminatory view by gender differences, but grow as people who foster a sense of gender equality.
