Franz Anton Hoffmeister Viola Concerto in D Major의 연구분석

Abstract

본 논문은 Franz Anton Hoffmeister(1754~1812)의 Viola Concerto in D Major 에 관한 연구 분석 논문이다. Franz Anton Hoffmeister(1754~1812)의 Viola Concerto in D Major를 중심으로 연구 분석하여 논문을 작성하게 된 이유는 본 작품이 작곡된 이후 현재까지 비올라 연주자 들에게 비중 있는 곡으로 인식되고 연주되고 있기 때문이다. 필자는 먼저 고전음악의 시대적 배경과 음악사를 조명하여 F.A.Hoffmeister의 생애와 동 시대에 활동한 작곡가들의 작품세계를 살펴보는 것을 통하여 그의 음악을 심도 있게 이해 해보려 하였고 그 이후에 viola 협주곡을 전체적으로 분석하였다. 고전음악의 주요 형식인 소나타 형식을 기준으로 제시부, 발전부, 재현부로 분류하였고 그 안에서 세부적인 주제와 화성, 음악의 흐름 등을 고찰하는 방법으로 작품을 분석하였다. 일반적으로 고전 시대의 음악은 화성법에 기초를 두어 선율과 화성을 중심으로 작곡되어서 전 시대인 바로크 시대 음악에 비해 연주자와 관객들에게 쉽게 다가갈 수 있었다고 평가된다. 동시대의 작곡가 Mozart, Beethoven 의 명성에는 미치지 못 하였지만 Franz Anton Hoffmeister와 Carl Stamitz 의 작품도 고전음악 시대의 주요 협주곡으로서 그 위치를 인정 받아왔다. 고전주의 시대의 비올라 라는 악기는 독주악기 보다는 실내악이나 오케스트라의 한 부분을 담당하는 악기로 인식되었다. 그러한 시대적인 배경에서 볼 때 F.A.Hoffmeister D Major concerto 는 viola의 독주 악기로서의 가능성을 보여준 viola 연주사에 있어서 의미 있는 협주곡이라 할 수 있다. 따라서 본 논문은 고전주의 음악시대에 중요한 협주곡인 Franz Anton Hoffmeister의 중요한 작품 중 하나인 D Major viola concerto 를 면밀히 연구하여 본 곡을 연주 하는 연주자에게 도움이 되고자 한다. ;This is a study on the Viola Concerto in D Major in Franz Anton Hoffmeister (1754-1812). The reason why the study emphasis on Viola Concerto in D Major by Franz Anton Hoffmeister (1754-1812) is because it has been played as an important piece for viola performers after the Classical era. This study was to deal with the study of overall performance of F.A.Hoffmeister. Exposition, development, and a recapitulation was classified based on the format of sonata. And pieces were analyzed through the melody, harmony, structure, etc. Classical music was based on the law of harmony and centered on melody and harmony(Cord). For this reason, F.A.Hofmeister is melodiously superior. Also, F.A.Hoffmeister’s music has been played for many viola performers as a textbook. The reason is that the works of F.A. Hoffmeister in the classical era was often played with Carl Stamitz because the viola solo in the Baroque period was very few and not common. In conclusion, this study showed that research about F.A. Hoffmeister’s pieces revealing F.A.Hoffmeister is important to the viola player to this day.
