dc.description.abstractThe role of teacher is crucial to improving student’s performances. Teacher gender plays an important aspect in the education sector. In Senegalese secondary schools there are few female teachers, but they participate a lot in student’s educational career. One hundred twenty-three students and sixty-eight teachers participated in this study. Under teacher years of experience, classroom instructional practices, gender age were significantly related to student’s performances. In this study I tried to identify between male teacher and female teacher who participated the most on increasing student’s performances. I came with the conclusion that in Senegal despite the low number of female teachers in secondary schools. Female teachers affect and increase significantly student’s performances in the secondary school level.;학생의 성과는 교사에 의해서만 향상될 수 있다. 그리고 교사의 성별은 교육 분야에서 중요한 역할을 한다. 세네갈 중등학교에는 여교사가 적지만 그들은 학생의 교육에 있어 참여도가 높다. 이 연구에는 총 123 명의 학생과 68 명의 교사가 참여했다. 교사의 경력, 교실 내 수업 관행, 그리고 성별과 연령은 학생의 성취도에 유의한 영향을 미쳤다. 이 연구는 남교사와 여교사 중 학생의 성취도 향상에 가장 많이 참여한 교사를 식별하려고 노력했다. 연구결과를 통해 세네갈에는 중등학교 여교사 수가 적음에도 불구하고 여교사는 중등학교 수준 학생의 성취도에 영향을 미치고 크게 향상시킴이 밝혀졌다.-
