해체주의 개념을 적용한 컨버전스형 장신구 연구

Abstract

발상의 전환을 생각하는 사람이라면 해체와 융합에 대한 관심이 자연스러울 것이다. 융합(Convergence)은 사물을 새로운 시각으로 볼 수 있게 한다. 서로 다른 재료들의 융합을 위해서는 그것들을 효과적으로 매치시킬 제작방법이 필요하다. 그리고 그 작업에 철학이 함께 한다면 더 의미가 있을 것이다. 본 연구에서는 금속·도자·섬유·옻·플라스틱·보석 등 다양한 공예매체를 사용한 컨버전스형 장신구를 제작하였다. 그리고 이러한 컨버전스형 장신구 제작에 적합한 세팅방법인 ‘볼트 · 너트형 보석세팅’ 기법과 볼트·너트의 기능인 ‘조립과 해체’의 의미를 생각하며 작품으로 표현하고자 하였다. 다양한 재료들의 물성들을 알고 있다면, 사용목적과 디자인의 특성에 적합한 재료를 선택하고 그것들을 융합하여 새로운 창작을 할 수 있다. 그리고 그것이 역동적일 수 있다면 그 융합은 살아있는 창조물이 될 것이다. 이런 의미에서 융합의 시도는 우리 창작자들로 하여금 새롭고 다양한 시각으로 작품을 할 수 있게 하는 가능성을 열어준다. ‘융합(Convergence)’ 개념의 바탕이 되는 해체주의 철학(Deconstructionism)은 우리가 관념으로부터 자유로워져 창조적인 인간으로의 발전을 가능하게 한다고 생각한다. 본고는 해체주의 철학(Deconstructionism)과 해체주의 건축(Deconstructivism)에서 그 개념을 도입하여 디자인 컨셉(Conception)과 디자인 기능(Function)을 기획하였으며, 작품제작의 주요방법으로 콜드조인팅(coldjointing) 기법을 응용한 ‘볼트 · 너트형 보석세팅’을 발전시켰다. 기존 장신구 제작의 세팅방법들에 비해서 비교적 간단한 ‘볼트 · 너트형 보석세팅’은 컨버전스형 장신구 제작에 효율적인 세팅기법이다. 금속 공예가들의 손을 거치지 않더라도 도예가나 섬유예술가들이 스스로 조형 장신구를 제작할 수 있는 효과적인 방법이기에 그 의미가 더 있다고 하겠다.;For anyone who thinks of a shift in ideas, the interest in Deconstruction and Convergence would be natural. Convergence allows things to be viewed in a new light. The convergence of different materials requires a manufacturing method that effectively matches them. And it would be more meaningful if philosophy were to work together. In this study, Convergence-type Jewelry were produced using various craft media such as metal, ceramics, fiber, lacquer, plastic and stones. Also, we wanted to express the meaning of 'Bolts and Nuts-type Jewelry Setting' as cold jointing techniques suitable for making Convergence-type Jewelry and the meaning of 'Conjunction and Disjunction' which is a function of bolts and nuts. If you know the properties of various materials, you can select materials suitable for the purpose of use and the characteristics of the design, and create new creations by converging them. And if it could be dynamic, the convergence would be a living creation. In this sense, the attempt at convergence opens up the possibility of allowing our creators to work from a new and diverse perspective. I think that the Deconstructionism underlying the concept of "Convergence" allows us to be free from ideas and develop into creative human beings. By introducing the Deconstructionism and the Deconstructivism, this paper planned the Design Conception and the Design Function, and developed the 'Bolt and Nut-type Jewelry Setting' which applied cold jointing technique as the main method of production of the work. Compared to the existing jewelry-making methods, 'Bolt and Nut-type Jewelry Setting' is a relatively simple setting technique that is effective in making converged jewelry. It is an effective way for potters and textile artists to make their own craft jewelry even if it doesn't go through the hands of metal craftsmen. Therefore, it is more meaningful.
