팝스타 마돈나의 패션 이미지 분석을 통한 스타일링 연구

Abstract

현대사회는 매스미디어를 통해 다양한 문화의 발달을 이루었으며 이는 많은 분야에 대한 관심과 이해의 바탕이 되었고 대중문화의 발달과 함께 스타의 커다란 성장의 배경이 되었다. 미디어를 통해 보여지는 스타의 모습은 시각적으로 대중의 관심을 유발하는 요소를 갖추었는데 그 중 패션은 가장 큰 관심의 대상이 되었다. 스타의 화려하고 매력적인 이미지는 대중에게 닮고 싶은 대상으로 여겨져 그들의 패션을 모방하는 것으로 이러한 심리적 욕구를 충족하려 하였다. 이러한 대중들의 모방행위는 패션 트렌드로 이어져 패션 산업에 커다란 영향을 주기 시작했다. 스타 패션이 대중에게 영향을 주기 시작한 것은 1980년대에 뮤직비디오를 통해 음악의 시각화가 시작되면서이다. 젊은 층에게 뮤직비디오 속 팝스타의 모습은 큰 흥미를 유발했고 곧 패션에 대한 관심으로 이어졌다. 이러한 현상의 중심에는 마돈나가 있었으며 데뷔부터 현재에 이르기까지 대중의 패션에 영향을 주었다. 마돈나의 패션은 관능성을 강조한 란제리 패션과 가부장적 사회에서 억압받는 여성의 새로운 모습을 제시하는 양성적인 패션, 이미지 강조를 위한 장식성이 보여진다. 이러한 마돈나 패션의 미적 특성은 현대 패션에 영향을 미치고 있으며 지속적으로 패션 산업에서 재해석되어 대중의 패션 방식에 영향을 주고 있다. 이에 본 연구는 대중의 패션에 영향을 준 마돈나 패션의 미적 특성을 분석하여 주제로 선정하고 마돈나 패션에서 보여진 미적 특성을 현대적인 패션 스타일링 요소들과 결합하여 새로운 스타일링을 제시함으로써 새로움을 원하는 대중의 요구에 부응하고 스타일링 분야의 전문적인 연구가 확대되길 기대하는 것에 연구 목적을 둔다. 본 연구의 방법은 선행된 연구와 단행본 자료, 인터넷 검색을 통해 패션 스타일링에 대한 개념과 방법에 대한 이론적 개념을 확립하고 마돈나의 패션에서 보여 진 이미지를 연구하고 시대별 미적 특성을 시각적으로 표현하였다. 이를 토대로 관능성, 양성성, 장식성의 미적 특성이 나타난 마돈나의 패션을 3가지 테마로 분류하여 아이템을 선정하고 6착장의 작품을 제작하였다. 이에 본 작품 연구를 통해 얻은 결론은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 매스미디어의 발달로 스타의 패션정보에 노출되는 대중은 스타패션에 관심을 갖고 스타의 패션을 모방하여 이들의 이미지를 자신과 동일화 시키고 싶어하는 경향을 나타내는데 이는 패션 트렌드로 이어져 패션 산업에 많은 영향을 준다. 스타의 패션은 점차 그 영향력이 확대되어 현대 패션에서 중요한 자리에 위치하고 있다. 둘째, 마돈나는 대중의 패션에 영향을 준 대표 팝스타로 그 패션의 미적 특성은 현대 패션에 많은 영향을 주었다. 뷔스티에, 브래지어를 패션에 과감히 사용하고 속옷과 남성복을 착용해 양성적인 특성을 나타냈으며 장식적인 요소를 활용해 새로운 이미지를 생산해냈다. 이는 현대 패션에서 새롭게 재해석되어 나타나고 있다. 셋째, 마돈나 패션에 나타난 미적 특성은 관능성, 양성성, 장식성으로 구분되며 뷔스티에, 자켓, 팬츠 등의 패션 스타일링 아이템과 셔링, 아일렛장식 등의 디테일 요소를 통해 표현되었다. 넷째, 6점의 제작 뷔스티에, 브래지어 작품은 여성의 입체적인 신체특성을 살릴 수 있도록 볼륨감있는 마네킹에 가죽을 입히는 방식으로 제작하였다. 이는 볼륨의 형태가 유지되어 착용하였을 때 관능적인 여성성을 강조하고 현대적인 이미지의 연출을 도왔으며 남성적 요소들과 어우러지며 양성적 패션 이미지의 결과를 얻을 수 있었다. 다섯째, 작품의 소재는 가죽, 울, 네오프렌, 레이스, 망사 소재를 사용하여 스타일링하였다. 모던하고 관능적인 이미지 표현을 위해 양가죽을 뷔스티에와 브래지어에 사용하고 울과 면을 남성적 아이템에 사용하여 마돈나 패션의 특성을 현대적 감각으로 재해석할 수 있었다. 여섯째, 6벌의 제작 작품의 세련된 이미지 부각을 위해 블랙, 버건디, 화이트, 3가지 컬러로 제한하고 테마별로 2컬러씩 사용하여 이미지를 차별화하였다. 테마 Ⅰ에 버건디 컬러의 자켓을 메인으로 블랙을 사용하였고 테마 Ⅱ에 블랙 컬러를 주색으로 하여 자켓과 팬츠, 스커트를 제작하고 버건디 컬러의 뷔스티에로 강렬한 대조를 이루도록 하였다. 테마 Ⅲ는 화이트 컬러의 셔츠와 블랙 아이템의 모던한 관능적 이미지를 연출하였다. 이러한 컬러의 제한적인 사용으로 현대적으로 재해석한 이미지 결과물을 도출하였다. 일곱째, 메이크업과 헤어컨셉 변화와 모델의 표정, 제스쳐가 의상의 이미지 연출에 미치는 영향은 매우 크다. 6착장의 작품을 위해 마돈나의 누드톤과 레드립을 강조한 메이크업, 헤어를 현대적으로 재해석하여 연출하였으며 모델의 포즈와 표정을 각 작품의 특성에 맞도록 연출하였다. 이와 같이 본 연구는 대중의 패션과 패션 산업에 큰 영향력을 주는 스타의 존재에 착안하여 팝스타 마돈나 패션의 특성인 관능성, 양성성, 장식성의 이미지를 트렌드를 반영하여 현대적 감각으로 재해석하였다. 마돈나 패션의 특성은 현대 패션에서도 지속적으로 재해석되고 있으며 연구되고 있다. 본 연구를 통해 마돈나 패션의 특징을 바탕으로 한 새로운 스타일링 연구가 지속되길 기대한다.;The modern society has developed various cultures through mass media, which has been the basis of interest and understanding in many fields and the background of star's great growth with the development of popular culture. The appearance of the star through the media has elements that attract visual attention, among which fashion has become the biggest public concern. The colorful and attractive image of the star was considered a public concern, and the public attempted to imitate the star's fashion and met the psychological needs, creating fashion trends and having a great influence on the fashion industry. Star fashion began to influence the public when the visualization of the music started through music videos in the 1980s. For the young, the appearance of the pop star in the music video was very interesting and soon led to an interest in fashion. At the heart of the popularization of star fashion was Madonna, which affected the public from debut to the present day. Madonna's fashion has an effect on modern fashion by aesthetic characteristics of Madonna fashion: a look which expressed Sensual and using feminine underwear as outerwear, and bisexual fashion that presents a free and new female model oppressed by patriarchal society, and accessories, and it is continuously reinterpreted in the fashion industry and affects the fashion style of the public. This study analyzes and selects the aesthetic characteristics of Madonna fashion that affects the fashion of the masses and proposes new styling of modern fashion style with the aesthetic characteristics of Madonna fashion. This aims to meet the public's demand for new styles and to expand the professional research in the field of styling. The method of this study established theoretical concepts and fashion styling methods through prior studies and books, internet search, studied the image shown by Madonna's fashion, and visually expressed the aesthetic characteristics by period. Based on this, Madonna's fashion, which exhibited the aesthetic characteristics of sensuality, bisexuality, and decorativeness, was classified into three themes, and items were selected and six dress works were produced. The conclusions from this study are as follows. First, with the development of mass media, the public is often exposed to the fashion information of stars, which leads to the interest in star fashion, which affects the fashion of the public. The public tends to imitate the fashion of stars and to equalize their image, and this phenomenon of masses leads to the influence of fashion trends and affects the fashion industry. As such, celebrity fashion is becoming increasingly influential and is one of the important points of modern fashion. Second, Madonna is a representative star who influenced the fashion of the masses, and the aesthetic qualities of her fashion had a great influence on modern fashion. She boldy used bustiers and bras in fashion and Men's clothes worn together with underwear show a bisexual characteristic and used decorative elements to produce a new image. These characteristics are newly reinterpreted with modern sensibility. Third, aesthetic characteristics in Madonna's fashion are divided into sensuality, bisexuality, and decorativeness, and are expressed through fashion styling items such as bustier, jacket, and pants, and detail elements such as shirring and eyelet decoration. Fourth, Six works produced brassieres and bustiers in a way that wraps leather on a volume-feeling mannequin to highlight the three-dimensional physical characteristics of women. When the volume of the clothes was kept in the form of wear, it was able to emphasize femininity and to produce a sensual and modern image. Through the above production method, the result of the bisexuality fashion image harmonized with the male factors was obtained. Fifth, the material of the work was styled using leather, wool, neoprene, lace and mesh material. Sheepskin was used in bustiers and bras for a modern and sensual image, and wool and cotton were used in masculine items to reinterpret the Madonna fashion characteristics with a modern sense. Sixth, in order to highlight the refined image of the six productions, black, burgundy, white and three colors were used, and two colors of themes were used to differentiate the images. In theme I, burgundy jacket is mainly black and In theme II, black was used as the main color, and jackets, pants and skirts were produced, and the burgundy color bustier was in sharp contrast. Theme III created a modern sensual image of a white shirt and black items. The use of these colors yielded an effective result of the aesthetic characteristics of Madonna fashion. Seventh, the change in makeup and hair concept, the expression of the model, and the gesture have a great influence on the image of the costume. For the six work, the make-up and hair of the model were emphasized through Madonna's nude tones and red lips and reinterpreted in a contemporary fashion and the poses and expressions of the model were directed to the characteristics of each work. In this way, this study focuses on the existence of a star that has a great influence on the fashion and fashion industry of the masses, and reinterprets the image of sensuality, positivity and decorativeness, which are the characteristics of pop star Madonna fashion, in a modern sense. The characteristics of Madonna's fashion are constantly being reinterpreted and studied in contemporary fashion. Through this study, I hope that new styling research based on the characteristics of Madonna fashion will continue.
