J. Brahms의 실내악에 관한 연구

Abstract

본 연구에서는 19세기 낭만주의음악 낭만주의란 고전주의에 반동으로 일어난 예술을 말하며, 19세기에 성행했던 음악을 뜻한다. 시대의 대표적인 작곡가인 요하네스 브람스(Johannes Brahms, 1833~1897)의 생애와 그의 실내악 음악을 알아보고 브람스의 대표적인 실내악 작품 중 하나인《Piano Quartet No.3 in c minor, Op.60“Werther”》을 분석하고자 한다. 독일 후기낭만파 작곡가 중에서도 보수적인 성향을 가지고 있는 브람스는 그의 작곡 기법과 구조에서 나타나는 고전음악의 다양한 특징들로 그가 베토벤의 정통계승자임을 확인할 수 있다. 브람스는 전통을 따르는 혁신자였으며 표제적인 묘사를 피하고 소위 절대음악만 작곡했다. 그의 작품은 다채로운 음색과 화성에 대한 대담하고도 새로운 시도로 그 시대 조성 음악의 개념을 바꾸어 놓았다. 또한 요한 제바스티안 바흐(Johann Sebastian Bach, 1685~1750)와 루트비히 판 베토벤(Ludwig van Beethoven, 1770~1827)과 함께『3B 작곡가』로 불릴 만큼 음악적으로 높은 인기와 영향력을 지닌 것으로 평가받아왔다. 브람스는 교향곡, 실내악, 합창곡, 피아노곡 등을 작곡했고 당대의 뛰어난 피아노 연주자 중 한명이었다. 그는 4개의 교향곡과 24개의 실내악곡을 작곡했으며 특히 실내악에 큰 관심을 보여 당대에는 비중이 없었던 실내악 작품을 발전시켰다. 브람스의《Piano Quartet No.3 in c minor, Op.60“Werther Werther는 이루어지지 않는 사랑의 슬픔으로 권총으로 자살한 젊은 청년의 이야기이다. ”》은 1875년에 출판되었고 3개의 피아노 4중주 작품 중 가장 먼저 구상이 되었지만 제일 마지막에 완성이 되었다. 총 4개의 악장으로 구성이 되어있으며 현악기군인 바이올린, 비올라, 첼로와 피아노의 조화가 아름다운 곡이다. 1악장과 4악장은 c minor의 소나타 형식이며 2악장은 c minor의 스케르초 형식, 3악장은 E Major의 복합 3부분 형식이다. 브람스의 음악이 낭만시대 음악에 어떤 영향을 주었는지 고찰하고 음악사에서 브람스의 중요성을 살펴보고자 하는 것이 이번 논문 연구의 목적이다.;In this analysis, I want to learn about the life of Johannes Brahms, a leading composer of the 19th century during the Romantic period, his chamber music, and analyze one of J.Brahms' representative chamber music works,《Piano Quartet No.3 in cminor, Op.60 "Werther”》. J.Brahms, who was considered conservative among German late-Romantic composers, is the orthodox heir to Beethoven with various characteristics of classical music appearing in his writing techniques and structures. J.Brahms was an innovator who followed tradition, avoided mundane music and composed many different genres of music. His work changed the concept of the period, making music in a bold new attempt using colorful tones. He also had a high-profile music and was influential enough to be called a "3B composer”, with the like of Johann Sebastian Bach (1685-1750) and Ludwig van Beethoven (1770-1827). J.Brahms composed symphonies, chamber music, choral music, and piano pieces. He was one of the greatest pianists of his time. He composed four symphonies and 24 chamber music pieces, and showed great interest in chamber music, developing chamber music pieces that include the instruments that were considered in chamber music. J.Brahms'《Piano Quartet No.3 in c minor, Op.60 "Werther”》 was published in 1875 and was the first of three piano quartets to be worked on but the last to be completed. It consists of four musical instruments, and the harmony between the strings of violin, viola, cello and piano is beautiful. The 1st movement and 4th movement are sonatas of c minor, 2nd movement is scherzo of c minor, and 3rd movement is ternary Form of E Major. The goal of this analysis is to examine how J.Brahms' music influenced romantic music and to examine the importance of Johannes Brahms in music history.
