Abstract

본 논문은 석사과정을 이수하기 위한 졸업연주 프로그램을 바탕으로 드보르작(Antonín Dvořák, 1841-1904)의 연가곡 《집시의 노래(Zigeunermelodien Op.55)》를 연구하였다. 드보르작은 19세기 체코의 대표적인 민족주의 작곡가로 그의 연가곡 《집시의 노래》는 드보르작의 창작 절정기에 작곡된 작품이다. 유럽 전역에 민족주의 운동이 확산되어 있던 시대에 작곡가들은 민족성이 강한 음악을 만들기 시작했고, 드보르작 역시 그 영향을 받았다. 보헤미아 민족시인인 헤이두크(Adolf Heyduk, 1835-1923)의 7편의 시를 선택하여 곡을 붙인 이 작품은 집시들의 방랑의 모습과 자유로운 삶을 갈망하는 의지가 주를 이루고 있다. 이 곡은 대부분 2부분이나 3부분형식의 유절가곡 형태를 가지고 있으며, 성악 선율이 변주되면서 반복되는 구조를 지녔다. 흥겨운 무곡풍의 리듬과 스타카토와 당김음, 트레몰로, 아르페지오 등의 기법을 사용하였고 집시 음계를 사용하여 집시 음악의 특징을 표현하였다. 특히 집시 악기인 침발롬(Cimbalom)과 트라이앵글(Triangle) 음형을 반주부에 묘사해줌으로써 곡의 전체적인 분위기가 조화롭게 이루어지고 장식적인 리듬과 꾸밈음의 사용으로 집시의 즉흥성과 자유분방함을 엿볼 수 있다. 이 작품은 집시들이 갈망하는 자유와 자연에 대한 동경 그리고 노래, 춤과 사랑에 관한 가사를 집시만의 독창적인 연주 방식으로 노래하고 있으며 드보르작의 민족주의적 특성과 집시의 음악 요소들이 잘 융합되어 드러나는 작품이다.;This thesis is a study on the song cycle《Zigeunermelodien Op.55》by Antonín Dvořák (1841-1904) for the graduation recital program to complete the master’s course. Dvořák was a representative nationalist composer of the 19th century Czech Republic and《Zigeunermelodien Op.55》was composed at the peak of Dvorak's creation. In the era of nationalist movement throughout Europe, composers began to make music with strong ethnicity, and Dvorak was also influenced by it. Seven poems by Adolf Heyduk (1835-1923) were selected as texts, which mainly deals the wandering gypsies and the desire for a free life. Most of the songs are in binary or ternary strophic form and the vocal structure repeats in variation. Techniques such as joyful dancing rhythms, staccatos, syncopations, tremolos, and arpeggios are used. The characteristics of Gypsy music are well expressed by the gypsy scale. The figure of the gypsy instruments, such as cimbalom and triangle, are portrayed at the accompaniment which makes a harmonious overall atmosphere. The use of decorative rhythms and ornaments gives a glimpse of the improvisation and freedom of Gypsies. This work sings the freedom, yearning for nature, song, dance and love that the Gypsies crave for in their own unique way. Dvořák's nationalistic characteristics and the gypsies music elements are well blended.
