기독교 대안학교 청소년 인성교육

Abstract

본 연구는 현대 한국의 청소년들에게 필요한 인성교육에 대한 과제를 고민하는 데에서부터 시작되었다. 경쟁이 만연한 사회는 청소년들에게 인성과 관계성보다 경쟁성을 함양할 것을 요구하며, 타인과 공존하기보다 타인의 위에 올라설 것을 강조한다. 이러한 현실은 교육계에도 동일하게 적용되어, 경쟁성 함양을 위한 입시 위주의 주입식 교육이 자행되고 있다. 청소년의 주체성과 관계성을 격려하지 않는 여러 가지 상황들은 그들의 인성에 부정적인 영향을 미쳤고, 인성교육의 부재는 청소년들이 직면한 문제 상황을 해결하는 데에 도움을 주지 못했다. 안타까운 것은, 주체성과 관계성을 잃어가는 청소년들에게 이루어지고 있는 기독교 성품교육마저 청소년들의 상황을 고려하지 못하고 있다는 점이다. 따라서 본 논문은 기독교 청소년이 하나님 안에서 건강한 인성을 형성하기 위한 새로운 방향을 모색하고자 한다. 특히 기독교 대안학교 청소년들을 교육 대상으로 설정하여 논의한다. 본 연구의 목적은 기독교 대안학교 청소년들이 올바른 인성을 함양하기 위한 교육방법을 제시하는 데 있다. 이를 위해 기독교 청소년 인성교육의 목표를 제안한다. 또한 본 연구에서는 마리아 해리스(Maria Harris)의 교육목회 커리큘럼을 기반으로 인성교육을 연구하며 나아가 이를 적용한 기독교 대안학교 청소년 인성교육의 수업모델을 제시한다. 구체적인 연구내용은 다음과 같다. Ⅱ장에서는 현대 한국 청소년들의 인성 문제를 파악하고, 기독교에서 이루어지고 있는 청소년 성품교육의 문제점을 분석한다. 이는 청소년 사회에 대한 이해와 기독교 성품교육의 현실을 인식하기 위한 것으로, 본 연구의 기초가 된다. Ⅲ장에서는 기독교 청소년 인성교육의 목표를 제시한다. Ⅱ장에서 분석한 문제점들을 보완할 수 있는 목표임과 동시에 새롭게 제시할 인성교육을 위한 교육목회 커리큘럼의 목표가 된다. 목표는 자기다움을 찾아가도록 돕는 교육, 타인과의 공존을 돕는 교육, 책임 있는 공동체 구성원을 양성하는 것이다. 나아가 이 목표에 기초하여 인성교육의 교육목회 커리큘럼을 논의한다. 먼저 마리아 해리스(Maria Harris)의 교육목회 커리큘럼 이론을 연구하고 이에 기초하여 기독교 청소년 인성교육의 교육목회 커리큘럼을 제시함으로써 새로운 인성교육의 방향을 모색한다. 마리아 해리스는 초대교회의 다섯 가지 주요 활동을 통해 교육목회 커리큘럼을 제시했는데, 인성이 특정 부분이 아닌 전인적인 삶에서 드러나는 것이기에, 마리아 해리스의 교육목회 커리큘럼은 인성교육에 큰 도움을 줄 수 있다. Ⅳ장에서는 앞서 제시한 교육목표와 커리큘럼에 기초하여 기독교 대안학교 청소년 인성교육의 수업모델을 제시한다. 구체적인 수업 제목과 목표를 설정한 뒤 각 수업에 적합한 교육방법을 적용하여 기독교 대안학교 청소년들을 대상으로 한 수업모델을 모색한다. 본 논문은 이상의 과정을 통해 기독교 대안학교 청소년들이 건강한 인성을 함양할 수 있도록 돕는 새로운 방향을 모색한다.;This research started from identifying the challenges of the character education required for modern Korean adolescents. Modern society, where competition is getting fiercer, demands adolescents to have a strong competitive spirit rather than improving character and relationships and puts more importance on defeating others than coexisting with them. This is applied in the same way in the education field where extra education is widely employed to encourage students to build a strong competitive spirit. Various circumstances, such as those not considering the independence and relationships of teenagers, have negatively influenced their character, and the absence of character education has led to a failure for adolescents to solve the problems they face. What is unfortunate is that even Christian character education, which is provided for young students who are losing independence and relationships, is not considering their position. Therefore, this research aims to explore new ways for Christian teenagers to develop a healthy characteristic in the arms of God. It especially targets students from Christian alternative schools for discussion. The purpose of this research is to suggest a teaching method for adolescents going to a Christian alternative school to develop the ideal characteristics. For this purpose, the research establishes goals for character education for Christian teenagers. In addition, this research studies character education based on the education ministry’s curriculum developed by Maria Harris and presents a class model for character education for students at a Christian alternative school by applying the curriculum. The detailed research content is as follows: In chapter Ⅱ, the problems of modern Korean adolescents’ characteristics are identified, and challenges of the Christian character education for teenagers are analyzed. This is for the purpose of understanding the teenagers’ society and to recognize the reality of Christian character education and provide basic data for the research. Chapter Ⅲ presents the goals of the character education for Christian teenagers. They can improve the problems analyzed in chapter Ⅱ, and they are also the goals for the education ministry’s curriculum for the new character education suggested in this study. The goals include helping students discover their identity, live with others harmoniously, and become responsible community members. Furthermore, the education ministry’s curriculum of character education is discussed based on these goals. First, the theory of the education ministry’s curriculum by Maria Harris is investigated; based on which, the character education for the education ministry’s curriculum is to explore the directions for the new character education. Maria Harris presented the education ministry’s curriculum through five major activities of the early church; as character is displayed for an entire life rather than certain parts, her education ministry’s curriculum can be of great help for character education. In chapter Ⅳ,a class model of the character education for students of a Christian alternative school is presented based on the education goals and curriculum suggested in previous chapters. After deciding a specific class title and goals, teaching methods suitable for each class are applied to explore a class model for adolescents of a Christian alternative school. Through such a process, this research explores new ways to help young students of Christian alternative schools to develop a healthy characteristic.
