성인 인공와우착용자의 음악경험 실태와 음악관련 삶의 질(MuRQoL)

Abstract

본 연구의 목적은 성인 CI착용자의 음악경험 실태와 음악관련 삶의 질을 알아보기 위한 것으로, CI착용자를 대상으로 개설된 인터넷 커뮤니티에 모집공고 후, 만 18세 이상, 언어습득 이후의 난청으로 인하여 CI를 착용한 성인 43명에게 실시되었다. 본 연구를 위해 CI착용자의 음악감상, 음악활동, 음악교육을 포함하는 음악경험에 대하여 설문을 실시하였으며, 음악관련 삶의 질을 알아보기 위해 음악 관련 인식과 참여에 대한 음악활동수행과 음악활동수행의 중요도를 묻는 Music-Related Quality of Life(MuRQoL)를 활용한 설문도 함께 실시하였다. 성인 CI착용자의 음악경험과 음악관련 삶의 질을 알아보기 위해 교차분석과 기술통계를 실시하였다. 그 결과 성인 CI착용자의 음악감상경험은 CI착용 전 후 응답자의 비율 변화가 나타나지 않았으며, 음악활동경험 역시 CI착용 전, 후 응답자의 비율 변화의 큰 변화가 두드러지지 않았다. 하지만 음악교육경험의 경우, 인공와우착용 전보다 CI착용 후 응답자의 비율이 현저하게 낮아지는 것을 확인할 수 있었다. 이들의 음악관련 삶의 질을 알아본 결과 CI착용자들은 음악활동수행보다는 음악활동수행의 중요도에 더 높은 점수를 두었다는 점에서 성인 CI착용자들은 음악활동수행에는 제한이 따르지만 음악을 인식하거나 음악활동에 참여하는 것을 매우 중요하게 여긴다는 것을 확인할 수 있었다. 또한 CI착용 전 또는 착용 후 음악경험이 있을 때, 음악활동수행의 높은 점수를 나타냈다. 따라서 CI착용자들의 CI착용 전 후의 음악경험이 이들의 생활 속에서 음악을 인식하거나 음악활동 참여에 도움을 줄 수 있음을 시사한다. 본 연구결과는 성인 CI착용자의 음악경험 실태와 음악관련 삶의 질에 관한 자료를 제시하였으며, 성인 CI착용자의 음악관련 삶의 질을 향상하기 위해 체계적인 음악경험을 제공하는데 있어 기초자료로 활용될 수 있을 것이다. ;The purpose of this research is to figure out adult CI user’s music experience and music related life quality. For this research, after upload recruit notice in the internet community, recruit 43 adult CI users who is using CI instrument because of difficulty in hearing after language acquisition. For this research, survey CI user’s music experience including music appreciation, activity, education. and also, to figure out CI user’s quality of life, using Music Related Quality of Life(MuRQoL) method which surveys music activity performance and importance of music activity performance about music related perception and participation. To figure out adult CI user’s music experience and music related quality of life, this research used cross-tabulations, and descriptive statistics. As a result, the ratio of the respondent of Adult CI user’s music appreciation experience has not changed, also the ratio of the respondent of adult CI user’s music activity experience has not meaningfully changed. However, about music education experience, after they wear CI, the ratio of the respondent is steeply decreased. the result of finding out their music related quality of life, CI users put more value in the importance of music activity performance than music activity performance, in this regard, this research can find out adult CI users more concerned about music recognition, and participate in music activity although their performance in music activity is restricted. Also, when they have musical experience before, or after they wear the CI, the score in music activity performance were high. Thus, music experience before, or after they wear the CI can help them to recognize music or participate in a music activity. the result of this research presents current situation of adult CI user’s musical experience and quality of life related with music, and also this would be used as a basic data to provide systematic musical experience to improve their quality of life related with music.
