한·중 외교 연설문에 나타난 개념적 은유 대비 연구

Abstract

본고에서는 인지언어학 관점에서 한국과 중국 외교 연설문에 나타난 개념적 은유의 실현 양상을 분석하고, 양국 외교 연설문에 나타난 개념적 은유의 공통점과 차이점을 밝히고자 한다. Ⅰ장에서는 연구 목적을 제시하고, 한국과 중국 외교 연설문과 관련된 선행 연구를 검토한다. 또한 ‘외교 연설문’에 대한 개념을 규정하는 작업을 시도하고, 본고의 연구 대상과 연구 방법을 제시한다. Ⅱ장에서는 개념적 은유의 개념을 살펴, 본고의 이론적 기초를 구축한다. 인지언어학 관점에서 개념적 은유는 어떤 개념을 이해하기 위해 다른 개념을 이용하는 것으로 인지된다. 개념적 은유는 인지 기능에 따라 구조적 은유, 존재론적 은유, 지향적 은유의 세 가지로 구분된다. Ⅲ장에서는 한국 외교 연설문에 나타난 개념적 은유의 실현 양상을 구체적으로 다룬다. 한국 외교 연설문에 나타난 개념적 은유는 구조적 은유, 존재론적 은유, 지향적 은유 등 세 가지로 나뉜다. 구조적 은유에는 [복합체계는 여행]은유, [복합체계는 건물]은유, [사건은 전쟁]은유, [사건은 연극]은유가 있고, 존재론적 은유에는 사물 은유, 인조물 은유, 자연물과 자연 현상 은유, 생명체 은유가 있다. 지향적 은유에서는 위-아래 은유, 앞-뒤 은유, 중심-주변 은유 등이 나타난다. Ⅳ장에서는 중국 외교 연설문에 나타난 개념적 은유의 실현 양상을 구체적으로 다룬다. 중국 외교 연설문에 나타난 개념적 은유도 구조적 은유, 존재론적 은유, 지향적 은유의 세 가지로 나뉜다. 구조적 은유에는 [복합체계는 여행]은유, [복합체계는 건물]은유, [사건은 전쟁]은유, [사건은 연극]은유, [사건은 장기]은유가 있고, 존재론적 은유에는 사물 은유, 인조물 은유, 자연물과 자연 현상 은유, 생명체 은유가 있다. 지향적 은유에서는 위-아래 은유, 앞-뒤 은유, 중심-주변 은유 등이 나타난다. Ⅴ장에서는 한국과 중국 외교 연설문에 나타난 개념적 은유의 실형 양상을 분석하여 양국 외교 연설문에 나타난 개념적 은유의 유형과 유형별의 사용 빈도를 대비한다. 나아가 양국 외교 연설문에서 구조적 은유 근원영역의 동일한 측면으로 이해하고 있는 목표영역 측면의 공통점과 차이점을 밝힌다. Ⅵ은 본고의 논의를 요약하고, 연구의 의의와 한계점을 정리한다.;The purpose of the study is to make a comparative analysis of the conceptual metaphors between Korean and Chinese diplomatic speeches from the perspective of Lakoff's Conceptual Metaphor Theory, and to find out the similarities and differences of the conceptual metaphors between Korean and Chinese diplomatic speeches. The first chapter is a general introduction about the thesis, including the purpose of the study, the previous studies of conceptual metaphors in diplomatic speeches as well as the subject and research method of this study. The second chapter describes the theoretical foundation, that is, Lakoff's conceptual metaphor theory. The third chapter throughly analyzes the conceptual metaphors in the Korean diplomatic speeches. The conceptual metaphors in the Korean diplomatic speeches consist of structural metaphors, ontological metaphors, and orientational metaphors. The structural metaphors include COMPLEX ABSTRACT SYSTEMS ARE JOURNEYS metaphors, COMPLEX ABSTRACT SYSTEMS ARE BUILDINGS metaphors, EVENTS ARE WARS metaphors, and EVENTS ARE THEATERS metaphors. The ontological metaphors include object metaphors, artificial substances metaphors, natural substances and natural phenomenon metaphors, and organism metaphors. The orientational metaphors include up-down metaphors, front-back metaphors, and center-periphery metaphors. The fourth chapter presents the conceptual metaphors in the Chinese diplomatic speeches. The conceptual metaphors in the Chinese diplomatic speeches include structural metaphors, ontological metaphors, and orientational metaphors. The structural metaphors include COMPLEX ABSTRACT SYSTEMS ARE JOURNEYS metaphors, COMPLEX ABSTRACT SYSTEMS ARE BUILDINGS metaphors, EVENTS ARE WARS metaphors, EVENTS ARE THEATERS metaphors, and EVENTS ARE CHESSES metaphors. The ontological metaphors include object metaphors, artificial substances metaphors, natural substances and natural phenomenon metaphors, and organism metaphors. The orientational metaphors include up-down metaphors, front-back metaphors, and center- periphery metaphors. The fifth chapter compares the conceptual metaphor between Korean and Chinese diplomatic speeches with a focus on the metaphor types and frequency of use. The sixth chapter presents the conclusion of the whole thesis including the summary, significances, and limitations of the study.
