유영국 회화 이미지를 응용한 보석 단추 제작에 관한 연구

Abstract

With the development of social network services, there are more and more media to express oneself. Social Network Services: Online services that build relationships among people sharing certain interests including the Facebook, the Instagram, and the Twitter. Modern people communicate through and users wanting to create a unique style share their items by expressing their fashion. In the rapidly changing fashion market, subsidiary materials for clothing have developed in various ways by such demanders. Particularly, buttons can be expressed in many forms with a fixed accessory role without damaging the shape of garment. In the mankind’s history, buttons have performed a useful function to easily adjusting and unravelling open area of garment, and also have taken a symbolic role as a part of garment as a decoration factor. The decorative buttons contain various stories, so they are also be historically worthy. Therefore, this study intends to express the plastic composition of painting in a work button in utilizing the work image of Yoo Youngkuk, the master of modern Korean abstract painting. Its goal is to study the functionality and the ornamentation of buttons while producing various colors and geometric painting images in button forms. This study also tries to express the delicacy being expressed by colors and settings that a gemstone gives. The introduction discusses the functionality, the symbolism and the ornamentation of buttons, focusing on buttons’ historical backgrounds and functions. In the discussion section, this study investigates the formativeness and the abstraction being appeared in Yoo Youngkuk’s paintings as well as the formative order in color and geometric features using 5 cardinal colors. It is discovered the artist Yoo’s intention pursuing the absolute simplicity by comparing vivid colors in a plane painting utilizing round, triangle and square shapes while working a work with the theme of mountain. The button shapes are made of alloy silver (92.5%), copper(brass, red copper), alloy gold (14 karat) and their colors and textures are expressed in using variously cut gemstone. The reason for using the alloy silver and the alloy gold is because they increases the hardness and creates various colors. After analyzing the characteristics of materials, the button production is completed through the process of drawing the production process, working, setting and polishing. The following results can be obtaineed from this study. First, a detachable button can be functioned as an ornament in clothes. Second, the placement of buttons in clothes alone can serve as an accessory. Third, it can be expected that a button expands the limited scope of jewelry and take a role as a new jewelry beyond the range of ring, necklace, earring and bracelet. Through this study, the investigator intends to show that a painting can be an important creative motif for the ornamentation. A button that used to be merely a prop in fashion can upgrade its function and decorativeness by utilizing abstractive painting images. Now, it can be known that the role of button is not a simple accessory, but can take its own role leading the fashion in itself. ;사회관계망 서비스 사회관계망서비스: 특정 관심사를 공유하는 사람의 관계를 구축한 온라인 서비스로 대표적인 페이스북,인스타그램,트위터 등이 있다. 의 발달로 자신을 표출할 기회는 점점 많아지고 있다. 현대인들은 주로 이를 통해 소통하며 개성 있는 연출을 원하는 사용자들은 본인들의 패션을 공개함으로써 서로가 지향하는 바를 공유한다. 빠르게 변화하는 패션 시장에서 의복의 부자재는 이러한 수요자들에 의해 다양하게 발전되어 왔다. 그중에서도 단추는 의복의 형태를 손상하지 않고 고정화된 장신구 역할을 수행하면서 여러 가지 형태로 표현될 수 있다. 인류 역사에서 단추는 의복의 벌어진 부분을 손쉽게 여미고 풀 수 있는 유용한 기능을 수행하였으며, 장식으로서도 의복의 한 부품으로 상징적 역할을 해왔다. 궁중의 장식 단추에는 다양한 이야기들이 담겨 있어 역사적 가치가 있기도 하다. 이에 본 연구에서는 한국 현대 추상화가인 유영국(1916-2002)의 작품 이미지를 응용하여 회화의 조형성을 단추에서 표현하려고 한다. 간결한 색채와 기 하학적 구조를 구성한 작가의 작품속 이미지를 단추 형태로 제작하여 기능성과 장식성을 함께 연구함이 목적이다. 아울러 회화의 색감을 보석으로 세팅하여 섬세하게 표현하려고 한다. 이론적 배경으로는 단추의 시대적 배경과 기능을 중심으로 단추의 장식성, 기능성에 관하여 고찰한다. 또한 유영국 회화에서 나타나는 조형성과 추상성을 살펴보고, 오방색을 이용한 색채와 기하학적 특징에서 조형적 질서를 알아본다. 산을 주제로 작업을 하면서도, 원형·삼각형·사각형을 활용한 평면화에 원색의 컬러를 대비시켜 절대적 단순함을 추구한 작가의 의도를 탐구한다. 단추의 제작방법으로는 정은(92.5%), 동(황동)을 소재로 형태를 만들고 다양하게 연마된 보석을 사용함으로써 재질감 및 색감을 알 수 있다. 정은과 동을 사용하는 이유는 경도가 증가하고 다양한 색을 만들 수 있기 때문이다. 이에 소재가 가지는 특성을 분석하고 제작 과정을 드로잉, 모델링(금속형태제작), 보석세팅, 표면 마무리 과정을 거쳐 완성한다. 본 연구를 통해 추상화가 장식에 창의적 요소가 될 수 있음을 보여주고자 한다. 패션의 단순한 소품에 불과했던 단추는 추상화 이미지를 활용함으로써 회화가 주는 메시지나 작가의식을 디자인된 단추로 표현 할 수 있다. 단추의 역할이 패션의 단순한 보조 장신구에 그치지 않고 그 자체로 독자적인 역할을 할 수 있음을 보여주고자 한다.
