Program Annotation

Abstract

본 논문은 본인의 석사과정 졸업연주 프로그램인 J. Haydn의 『Sonata in c minor, Hob.ⅩⅥ: 20』, F. Liszt의 『Ballade No. 2 in b minor, S. 171』, J. Brahms의 『Klavierstücke, Op. 118』, C. Debussy의 『ImagesⅠ』 에 대한 작품해설이다. 실제 졸업연주회에서는 Debussy의 『ImagesⅠ』, Haydn의 『Sonata in c minor, Hob.ⅩⅥ: 20』, Brahms의 『Klavierstücke, Op. 118』, 그리고 Liszt의 『Ballade No. 2 in b minor, S. 171』 순으로 연주하였지만 본 논문에서는 작곡가 시대 순으로 제시하였다. Franz Joseph Haydn(1732~1809)의 『Sonata in c minor, Hob.ⅩⅥ: 20』 은 1771년 작곡된 것으로 추정되며 하이든이 남긴 약 52개의 건반악기 소나타 중 첫 번째 단조 소나타이다. 총 3악장 구성으로 전 악장 모두 소나타 형식을 지니며 제 1악장은 c minor, 제 2악장은 Ab Major, 그리고 마지막 제 3악장은 다시 원조인 c minor 조성으로 작곡되었다. 이 작품은 하이든이 영향 받았던 감정과다양식을 다양한 요소를 통해 잘 드러내고 있다. Franz Liszt(1811~1886)가 남긴 2개의 발라드 작품 중 하나인 『Ballade No. 2 in b minor, S. 171』은 1853년에 작곡되었다. ‘발라드’는 이야기, 설명, 묘사, 서술, 해설과 같은 서사시와 정서를 담은 서정시가 혼합된 장르이다. 리스트는 이러한 발라드 장르에서 소나타 형식을 사용하였으며 서로 대비되는 제 1, 2주제가 자유롭게 즉흥적으로 나타난다. 이 작품은 격렬하고 반음계의 화려한 제 1주제와 아름답고 서정적인 제 2주제가 서로 조화롭게 나타난 작품이다. Johannes Brahms(1833~1897)의 『Klavierstücke, Op. 118』은 1893년에 완성된 브람스의 후기 작품으로 4개의 인터메쪼와 1개의 발라드, 1개의 로망스로 구성되었다. 브람스의 말년에 작곡되어 그의 특유의 서정성과 내면의 감성이 담긴 작품이며 걸작으로 평가받고 있다. Claude Achille Debussy(1862~1918)는 인상주의 미술에 영향을 많이 받아 회화적인 표제를 지닌 작품들을 남겼는데 그 중 『ImagesⅠ』 (영상 1권)은 드뷔시가 남긴 2권의 『Images』 작품 중 첫 번째 작품으로 1905년에 작곡되었으며, 총 3개의 곡이 수록되어있다. 첫 번째 ‘Reflects dans l'eau(물의 반영)’, 두 번째 ‘Hommage à Rameau(라모를 찬양하며)’, 세 번째 ‘Mouvement(움직임)’으로 추상적인 제목을 가지며 상상력을 일으켜 한 폭의 회화를 연상시킨다.;The purpose of the Program Annotation is to commentary about program I performed in the graduate recital. At the recital I played J. Haydn 『Sonata in c minor, Hob.ⅩⅥ: 20』, F. Liszt 『Ballade No. 2 in b minor, S. 171』, J. Brahms 『Klavierstücke, Op. 118』, and C. Debussy 『ImagesⅠ』. J. Haydn's (1732~1809) 『Sonata in c minor, Hob.ⅩⅥ: 20』is presumed to have been composed in 1771. This work is the first minor sonata of the Haydn's 52 keyboard sonatas and composed of three movements. All movements are in sonata form. And the first movement was composed in c minor, the second movement in Ab Major, and the last movement in c minor that is the original key. This work is revealing that Haydn is influenced by empfindsamer Stil through various elements. F. Liszt (1811~1886) left two ballads and one of them, 『Ballade No. 2 in b minor, S. 171』, was published in 1854. The ‘Ballade’ is a genre mixing epic like story, explanation, commentary and the lyric poetry with emotion. 『Ballade No. 2 in b minor, S. 171』 is in sonata form, and the first and second theme are contrasted each other. These themes flow extempore and freely. The first theme is intense and has gorgeous chromatic scales and the second has lyrical melody. They are in harmony with each other. J. Brahms's (1833~1897) the late work 『Klavierstücke, Op. 118』 is completed in 1893, and consisted of 4 Intermezzos, a Ballade and a Romance. Composed in the late years of Brahms, it is a work that is filled with his unique lyricism and inner sensibility and is regarded as a masterpiece. C. Debussy (1862~1918) is influenced by Impressionism and he left many works with pictorial titles. One of them, 『ImagesⅠ』 was composed in 1905 and is consisted of 3 works titled ‘Reflects dans l'eau’, ‘Hommage à Rameau’ and ‘Mouvement’. They create imagination through abstractive titles.
