1인 가구를 위한 IOT 기반의 제품 사용자 인터페이스 디자인 제안

Abstract

This study is based on the Internet of Things (IOT), which is widely used in the public domain area nowadays, as a technical basis. It began with those who have pet dogs as currently trend, technically for the increasing numbers of alone-living family in today's society. Based on pet dogs species, natural habits and psychological characteristics, they have developed a smart pet toy that can accompany pet dogs when the owner is away, to reduce its loneliness and bring joy and fun for the pet dogs. The emergence of the concept of "Internet of Things" in recent years has not only brought a brand new concept revolution in the field of technology, but also has attracted high focus in the industry as an emerging technology with a very wide range of applications and high levels of activity. There are distance between the IOT comparing to other Internet products, it is design specifically for each family, Internet of Things can integrate all the controllable electrical products at home, making it a systematic, complete, and live a life like a person, an organism who own their own thinking. The organism is placed on devices such as smart phone, through a variety of user friendly Apps, even if the person is not present at home, he or she could still remote monitoring and manipulate all electrical products at home. Therefore, user can understand and control every single period of time of their household condition in order to achieve an integrated smart home. Let's take the family who have pet dogs as an example, absence of the owner at home due to other issues would happens from time to time, but as for pet dogs that have great dependent on the owner and would like to go out, when times fly, it would have damage not only physical and mental health of the pet dog but also escalating their loneliness. Therefore, as mentioned above, the intelligent home built on the Internet of Things can implement the principle of remotely control home electronic devices. Develop the same principle of intelligent pet toys that contain the same function will encounter and solve this household issues. When the owner is out, the smart toy can be implied to play the corresponding function only by clicking the APP terminal on the smart phone. During the period with the absentee of the owner, smart toy can take over the role of owner to play along with the pet dog, create a joyful atmosphere which is beneficial to the pet dog's physical and mental development. In addition, the HD camera that allocated on smart toy can let the owner to monitor the status of pet dogs at home any time. This is not just an ordinary toy, it plays an important role in helping pet dogs to understand the world, sort of caring and love extension of the owner towards the pet dog care. As far as the pet dog's natural habits are concerned, from its young age onwards, it has been taken great care as a member of the family. If it is properly given a smart toy that meets its nature and help to develop its physical fitness and intelligence, the pet dog can naturally develop their basic survival skills such as running, chasing, and looking for food. This is pretty much alike as human childhood. This product will adjust and set up the most appropriate mechanical movement for its play according to the pet dog's different growth period, the speed will also be appropriate which is undoubtedly one of the most outstanding characteristics of similar product. Therefore, smart toys has positive effects on not only can satisfy the emotional needs of pet dogs, but also help them to develop basic life skills and maintain their physical and mental balance. In order to select the most suitable smart toy for their own pet dogs, the owner should ensure that the materials implied are safe and non-toxic. Owner should be particularly careful about the danger of pet dogs damaging the esophagus and other organs if they accidentally swallow the smart pet. First of all, the appearance of the smart toy must correspond to the size of the oral cavity of the pet dog, easing for the pet dog to play with. Sharp and prominent parts of the appearance, or a design with a non-round-shape appearance smart pet should be avoidable during purchasing as it could injure a pet dog easily. Those with high risk design that could bring the risk of injury such as the eyes and mouth of pet dog should be ruled out of consideration. Meanwhile, if there are small or easily broken components inside the smart pet product which will lead to health threats should not be underestimated. When choosing a comfortable smart pet product, owner should try their best to select a simple, rounded appearance looking along with a single, bright internal structure smart pet as the best option. According to the pet dog toys which are sold on the market today, there are mainly made from cotton, natural rubber, plastics, handmade wool, and loofah kind of wood and etc. The design relatively connected to the natural habits of the pet dogs while they are playing toys. Therefore, most of the smart toy products in the market are mainly made of natural non-toxic materials such as natural cotton or rubber. On the other hand, when a pet dog step into an adult stage, it often need a molar, so it is necessary to be able to give a product which can meet the demand of the pet dog. However, a point that should be take into consideration is to watch out for is that hard materials toys (such as non-digestible plastics, etc.) will produce hard, indigestible pieces when biting, and if the pet dog swallowed accidentally, those indigestible pieces will accumulate in the intestines and stomach of the pet dog. If those can not be excrete, it can easily cause intestinal and stomach damage, and even induce esophageal blockage and endanger life of the pet dog. Compared with wild dogs that grown under the natural environment, dogs are naturally in love with chase, which is common known in dogs. However, as a pet dog who grows up with great care of its owner as background environment, their personality is more dependent on the owner. Their curiosity of the human world is much stronger, and they are very much like to explore the surrounding things. Under this circumstances, while developing a pet toy, psychological needs of pet dogs should be taken as priority consideration. At present, pet toys which are sold as pet products can be roughly classified into the following categories according to their materials and functions: ➀ Ball toys ➁ Bionic toys (appearance of animals and plants) ➂ Puzzle type toys. In the case of ball toys, pet dogs can run freely when they play along because of their smooth and rolling appearance. This product can be broadly classified into four types: "tennis ball", "stretch ball", "sound ball", and "ball storage container". Bionic products have diverse features in terms of materials and design, and are super effective in attracting pet dogs' continuously attention. The principle of the puzzle type toy is often designed as a storage device in terms of function, utilizing the natural characteristics of a pet dog for food, so that it can enjoy the pleasure in discovering food and finding food, also facilitating its intellectual development in the same time. This type of storage able toy has several types of products on the market, such as "simple internal structure", "tumbler type", and "cylindrical". Aside of the storage-type toys with relatively complicated internal structures have also been on the rise, that play an important role in brain storming for pet dog.;본 연구는 기술 활용의 면에서 주로 공(公)적 영역에 광범위하게 활용되는“사물인터넷(Internet of things (IOT) )”에 기반을 두며, 반려동물로 키우는 애완견(愛玩犬)을 대상으로 그의 타고난 습성과 감정적 요구에 따라 “1인 가구(One person-household)”로 사는 견주(犬主)가 동반해 주지 못할 경우는 애견이 스스로 놀 수 있는 맞춤형 토이 제품을 디자인하고자 하는 데에 연구 목적을 둔다. 근년에 사물인터넷（Internet of Things (IOT) 이라는 것은 기술 분야에서 제일 핫한 이슈로 주목받고 있다. 그러나 인터넷에 대한 기존 인식과는 달리, 사물인터넷을 통해 집안에 있는 전자 제품과 다른 시설을＂사고력을 가지는 것“듯이 유기적 연결을 함으로써 집과 멀리 떨어져 있더라도 핸드폰에 탑재한 어플리케이션(Application) 같은 단말기만으로 집안의 모두 시설을 원격으로 조종하는 일이 가능해지면서 그 것들에 대한 사용 정보를 즉시 파악할 수 있다는 ”스마트 홈(smart home)“을 실현한다. 애견 같은 반려동물을 키우는 집을 예로 들면 주인이 근무 등 이유로 집을 떠나 애견이 홀로 남겨질 수 밖에 없는 상황이 빈번해지면 주인이 집에 비어 있는 외로움에 시달리다가 애견 건강을 손상시킬 우려가 있다. 앞서 제시한 “스마트 홈”이라는 원리대로 개발한 애견용 토이(toy)는 견주에 대신에 애견에게 동반해 주는 가구 용품으로서, 핸드폰에 깔려 놓은 어플만 이용하면 토이에 대한 원격적 조종이 실현되면서 토이 안에 설치된 모니터링(monitoring) 카메라를 통해 집안의 애견 상황을 즉시 확인할 수 있다. 그는 단순히 즐거움만 주는 것이 아니라 애견과 이 세계를 연결시키는 고리와 같은 중요한 존재이다. 이와 함께 어린 시절부터 집안 식구처럼 꼼꼼히 키우고 살아 온 애견은 자기 취향에 맞는 애견 토이를 가지고 놀면 볼을 쫓기, 식수와 사료를 찾아내기 등 생활에 필수적인 기술을 습득한다는 점은 유아 시기의 인간과 비슷하기도 한다. 또한 애견이 어떠한 성장기에 있는지에 따라 적절한 속도로 움직임을 취한다는 것은 이 제품의 눈에 띄는 특징이다. 그러므로 애견의 감정적 요구를 충족하기 위해 개발한 애견 토이를 통해 제대로된 생활 습관을 양성하는 동시에 몸부터 정신까지 건강하게 유지해 주는 효과가 있다. 견주는 애견을 자신의 아이 못지않게 소중하게 생각한다는 관계로 애견 전용 토이를 고를 때 독성이 없고 안전한 재질을 사용한 것인지, 애견이 부주의로 토이를 삼키면 식도를 손상시킬 위험성이 있는지에 많이 신경을 써야 할 문제이다. 우선으로 제품 외관적 디자인은 애견의 구강 크기에 맞고 적절한 사이즈로 제품을 설계해야 한다. 외관적으로 날카롭고 뾰족한 부분이 있는 디자인이라면 애견이 다칠 가능성이 높기 때문에 피해야 하는 것이다. 특히 토이를 놀 때 눈과 입 주변과 같은 쉽게 다치는 신체적 부위에 위협을 주는 디자인도 없도록 확보해야 한다. 제품 내부에 사소하고 쉽게 부러지는 부품으로 인한 애견 사망이 흔히 발생하므로 복잡하지 않고 심플한 디자인은 애견 토이에게 바람직하다고 할 수 있다. 기존 애견 용품들을 살펴보면 면과 자연산 고무, 플라스틱, 수제 털실, 수세미(음식용 등급), 나무 등으로 주를 이루고 있다. 이는 애견이 자주 토이를 입에 물고 노는 습관과 관련되므로 면이나 자연산 고무 같이 독성이 없고 안전한 재질로 만든 경우가 많다. 반면에 대부분의 견종은 성인 단계로 가면서 계속 커지는 이를 갈아야 하기 때문에 굳고 이갈이를 해주는 재질로 만든 애견 토이 필요하다. 그러나 과하게 굳고 소화할 수 없는 플라스틱인 재질의 경우라면 애견이 쪼개진 작은 플라스틱을 부주의로 잘못 삼켜서 식도(食道)와 위(胃)에 겹겹이 쌓이다가 결국은 식도가 빈틈없이 막혀 버리고 심지어 목숨을 잃을 위험도 있다. 야생 환경에 잘랐던 견종와 비교해 보면 태어나서 활발한 성격을 가진다는 공통점이 있으나, 식구처럼 키우고 자라는 애견은 인간에 대한 의존성이 강한 편이고 호기심도 많아 주변에 신기한 사물을 탐색하려는 의욕도 마찬가지이다. 그런 애견이 가지는 자연적 본성과 심리적으로 나타난 의욕을 만족시킬 수 있는 애견 전용 토이가 요구된다. 애완 전문점에서 기존으로 판매되는 애견 토이들은 재질과 기능에 따라 ➀ 볼 모양으로 되어 있는 구기류(球類) 토이 ➁ 자연계 생물 그대로 하는 바이오류 토이 ➂ 애견의 지능 개발을 위한 토이류 제품 세 가지로 분류를 할 수 있다. 애견이 그러한 볼 모양인 토이를 갖고 놀 때 토이 표면에 아무 모난 것도 없어서 공처럼 원활하게 굴러 다닐 수 있다는 장점이 있다. 구기류 제품도 크게 "테니스 볼(tenis ball)“, "탱탱볼", "사운드 볼(sound ball)", "볼 모양인 급식기 토이" 네 가지 유형으로 세분하고 있다. 바이오류 제품을 보면 형태와 재질상 다양화되고 있으므로 애견 관심을 오래 끄는 데에 효과적이다. 애견의 지능 개발을 위한 지능 개발류 토이 제품을 보면 애견이 토이 속에 숨어 있는 음식물을 스스로 발견해 내는 흥미를 유발하도록 개발한 급식용 토이 제품이다. 이 제품을 대체로 간단한 내부 구조를 가지는 급식기와 원기둥 모양으로 되어 있는 급식기 또한 쓰러지지 않는 우뚝이 급식기 세 가지로 나누어 지며, 이 외에 복잡한 내부 구조를 가지는 급식기 토이는 애견 지능을 개발해 주는 데에 흔히 활용되고 있다.
