프랑시스 풀랑크(F. Poulenc)의 가곡집《거짓된 약혼식(Fiançailles pour rire)》에 나타나는 시와 음악의 관계 연구

Abstract

프랑시스 풀랑크(Francis Poulenc, 1899-1963)는 프랑스의 작곡가이자 피아니스트로서 20세기 전반에 걸쳐 피아노곡, 관현악곡, 실내악곡, 합창음악, 가곡 등 다양한 장르의 작품을 작곡하였다. 특히 그는 150여곡의 가곡을 작곡하였는데, 가브리엘 포레(Gabrel Fauré, 1845-1924)의 이후, 프랑스 예술가곡의 전성기를 꽃 피운 작곡가라고 평가받고 있다. 또한, 풀랑크는 ‘프랑스 6인조(Les six)’의 일원으로서 신고전주의 음악 사조를 따랐던 작곡가이다. 본 연구의 목적은 풀랑크의 가곡집《거짓된 약혼식(Fiançailles pour rire》에 나타나는 시와 음악의 관계를 연구하는 것이다. 특히 본 논문은 풀랑크 음악의 고유한 특징과 시를 연결하기 위해, 시의 형식과 각운 구조, 시어의 상징을 먼저 분석하고 그것을 바탕으로 음악적 형식 및 화성, 선율과 리듬, 반주, 다이나믹, 연주를 위한 접근으로 항목을 나누어 살펴보았다. 연구한 결과, 이 작품에서 전통적인 음악에 현대적인 음악적 어법을 더한 풀랑크의 신고전주의적 음악경향과, 루이즈 드 빌모랭(Louise de Vilmorin, 1902-1969)의 시를 음악으로 표현하고자 했던 풀랑크의 작곡 기법들을 찾을 수 있었다. ;Francis Poulenc(1899-1963) was one of the representative French composers in France at 20-century who achieved great development especially on ‘French Art Song’ after Gabrel Fauré(1845-1924). The purpose of the study is an analysis of Poulenc’s song collection 《Fiançailles pour rire》 to regulate a relation between poet and music. Poulenc was a one of the member of ‘Les six’which is belonged to Neoclassicism. First, I anyalized a form of poem, rhythm, symbol of the word used in poem to relate between Poulenc’s musical grammer and Vilmorin’s poet. Second, I treated the songs under several heads which are the form, harmony, melodic line, rhythm, accompaniment, dynamic and approach of performance. As a result, I found a Poulenc’s musical inclination of Neoclassicism that includes classic forms and modern methods in harmony and rhythm, and a Poulenc’s compositional technic to represent the poet literally in his work.
