Abstract

본 논문은 필자의 석사 과정 이수를 위한 졸업연주회 프로그램에 대한 연구이다. 본 논문에서는 볼프강 아마데우스 모차르트(Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, 1756-1791)의 모테트《기뻐하라, 환호하라(Exsultate, jubilate K.165)》, 휴고 볼프(Hugo Wolf, 1860-1903)의 가곡 <마음이 풀린 소녀(Die Bekehrte)>, <냉담한 소녀(Die Spröde)>, 엔리께 그라나도스(Enrique Granados, 1867-1916)의 가곡 모음집인《사랑의 노래집(Canciones Amatorias)》을 중심으로 작곡가의 생애와 음악적 특징을 연구하였다. 모차르트는 18세기 고전시대를 대표하는 작곡가이다. 그의 대표적인 모테트인《기뻐하라, 환호하라(Exsultate jubilate K.165)》는 오케스트라와 소프라노 솔로를 위한 곡으로 한 개의 레치타티보와 세 개의 아리아로 구성되어 있다. 종교적인 내용의 라틴어 가사로 되어있으며 화려한 선율의 멜리스마로 하나님을 향해 찬양하는 기쁜 마음이 나타나 있다. 볼프는 19세기 후기 낭만시대 독일 작곡가로 약 250여 곡의 예술가곡을 작곡 하였다. 그의《괴테 가곡집(Goethe Liederbuch)》에 수록되어 있는 가곡 중 <마음이 풀린 소녀(Die Bekehrte)>와 <냉담한 소녀(Die Spröde)>는 바그너의 영향을 받아 선율과 리듬이 가사의 뜻을 효과적으로 살리는데 초점을 맞춰 작곡되었고 시의 뉘앙스를 살려주기 위해 선율이 읊조리는 듯한 낭송조로 표현되어있다. 그라나도스는 스페인을 대표하는 19세기 민족주의 작곡가이다. 그의 대표작품인《사랑의 노래집(Canciones Amatorias)》은 각각 다른 내용의 사랑을 주제로 한 가곡 모음집이다. 제 1곡 <사랑이여, 날 내버려두세요! 난 아직 어린 소녀예요(Mira que soy niña, ¡amor, déjame!)>, 제 2곡 <울지마오, 어여쁜 눈이여(No lloréis, ojuelos)>, 제 3곡 <그날 아침은(Mañanica era)>, 제 4곡 <나의 아름다운 여인이여(Gracia mia)> 에서 스페인의 전통 악기인 기타의 주법과 스페인 춤곡 리듬을 통해 스페인풍의 음악을 나타내었다.;This thesis is a study of songs that are used in the graduation recital program as one of the requirements for the master’s degree in vocal music at Ewha Womans University. In this paper, it studies the songs and lives of three composers who are Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart (1756-1761), Hugo Wolf (1860-1903) and Enrique Granados (1867-1916). The studies on Mozart’s motet 《Exsultate, jubilate K.165》, Wolf’s lieder <Die Bekehrte> and <Die Spröde> and Granados’collection of songs《Canciones Amatorias》reveal their musical characteristics. Mozart is the great master of classical music in the 18th century. His representative motet,《Exsultate, jubilate K.165》is a song for orchestra and soprano’s solo that consists of a recitativo and three arias. The song is written in religious latin and the story of praising god is well-represented by its splendid melisma and lyrical melody. Wolf is a German composer of the 19th century post-romantic era and he left approximately 250 lieder. Amongst many lieder in his 《Goethe Liederbuch》, <Die Bekehrte> and <Die Spröde> were significantly influenced by Wagner and he placed more emphasis on the melodies and rhythms of the songs to represent the meanings of the lyrics effectively. Their melodies were expressed by reciting tones to vivify the poetic nuances. Granados is a representative composer of nationalism in the 19th century in Spain.《Canciones Amatorias》is one of his masterpieces and a compilation of songs that consists of individual stories with a theme of love. In <I. Mira que soy niña, ¡Amor, Déjame!>, <II. No lloréis, ojuelos>, <III. Mañanica era> and <IV. Gracia mia>, Granados made a spectacular representation of Spanish styles of music using the traditional guitar techniques and the rhythms of Spanish dance music.
