프로골프 중계방송 품질이 시청몰입도 및 시청만족도에 미치는 영향

Abstract

본 연구는 프로골프 중계방송에 대한 방송품질, 시청몰입도 및 시청만족도와의 관계를 규명하고, 나아가 더 나은 프로골프 중계방송을 위한 실증적 자료와 정보를 제공하여 한국 프로골프의 중계방송 개선 및 새로운 방향을 제시하는데 그 목적이 있다. 본 연구의 측정도구로는 설문지가 사용되었으며 인구통계학적 문항, 중계방송품질평가, 시청몰입도, 시청만족도 등 총 4항목에 걸쳐 42개의 문항으로 구성되었다. 연구대상은 프로골프중계를 시청하는 시청자를 대상으로 339부를 배부해 이 중 올바르게 수행하지 못한 32부의 결측치를 제외한 307부만을 결과 분석에 사용하였다. 본 연구의 통계 처리는 SPSS 19.0을 이용하였다. 시청자의 인구통계학적 특성을 알아보기 위해 빈도분석 (Frequency Analysis)을 실시하여 각 항목별 결과를 평균(mean)과 표준편차(standard deviation)로 산출하였다. 또한, 프로골프 중계방송품질에 관한 문항을 요인화하며 각 요인의 타당도를 검증하기 위하여 탐색적 요인분석(Exploratory Factor Analysis)을 실시하였으며, 문항 간의 일관성을 검증하기 위해 신뢰도 분석을 실시하였다. 마지막으로 프로골프 중계방송품질, 시청몰입도 및 시청만족도의 관계 분석을 위해 각 상관관계분석(Correlation Analysis) 실시 후 회귀분석(Hierarchial Regression Analysis)을 통하여 요인간의 영향력을 검사 하였다. 모든 통계의 유의 수준은 p <.05로 설정 하였다. 분석 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 중계방송품질(중계진, 영상․음향, 정보제공)중 영상․음향 요인이 시청몰입도에 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 중계방송품질(중계진, 영상․음향, 정보제공)중 영상․음향 요인만이 시청만족도에 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 상관분석결과 시청몰입도는 시청만족도에 밀접한 관계가 있는 것으로 나타났으며, 시청몰입도는 시청만족도에 유의한 영향력을 미치고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 연구의 결과들을 종합하여 보면 방송중계 품질의 중계진, 영상·음향 및 정보제공 요인은 시청몰입도 및 시청 만족도와 밀접한 관계가 있는 것으로 나타났으며, 특히 방송중계 품질 요인 중에서 영상·음향 요인은 시청몰입도와 시청만족도에 큰 영향을 미치는 것이 명확하게 되었다. 즉, 영상․음향 요인이 골프중계 방송의 시청몰입도와 시청만족도에 유의한 영향을 주지만 시청만족도에 더 큰 영향을 미치는 것으로 밝혀진 만큼 현장 카메라 수 및 전문촬영장비 증가와 그리고 완벽한 편집 기술 개발 등을 통해 질 높은 영상․음향을 제공하여 시청자가 더욱더 프로 골프 중계방송을 통해 높은 시청만족도를 나타낼 수 있도록 노력해야 한다.;Not only the participating sports but also the spectator sports that enable indirect sports activity for satisfaction have been developing lately. Spectator sports which initiated from professional baseball and soccer in the early 90s have expanded based on combination of TV broadcasting and media, which powered the growth of its social influence(Gyeong-Jin Cho, 1992). Like this, sports and media formed a mutual relationship providing advertisement opportunity of businesses and viewing revenue(Won-Jae Jang, 2007). Unlike baseball, soccer or basketball which stand as representative sports in Korea, there are insufficient amount of research for professional golf to provide better relay broadcasting service to viewers, and there are no researches about broadcasting quality, immersion and satisfaction level of viewer to the ratings of golf program. The purpose of this study was to conduct survey about broadcasting quality, viewing immersion and viewing satisfaction targeting 339 respondents who watch golf programs, by investigating the influence of broadcasting quality to viewing immersion and satisfaction. In this study, a frequency analysis was conducted to examine the demographic characteristics of the subjects, and then correlation analysis and regression analysis were conducted to analyze the results. First, among the factors of viewing quality(correlation coefficient of broadcasting team, video and music, and information provision), it was confirmed that viewing quality and immersion had significant relations. Also, according to regression analysis results, only video and music among factors of broadcasting quality had significant influence on viewing immersion. Second, according to regression analysis result, broadcasting team and information provision had insignificant influence on viewing satisfaction like immersion did, and only video and music had significant influence. Third, it was confirmed that viewing immersion and satisfaction have significant correlation, and according to regression analysis result, viewing immersion had significant influence on viewing satisfaction. Integrating the study results, it was clearly confirmed that video and music among factors of broadcasting quality had significant influence on viewing immersion and satisfaction. In other words, there is a need to increase the number of field camera and professional filming devices for improving perfect editing technique to help viewers become more immersed to the broadcasting program and feel satisfaction.
