한국 청소년 소설의 청소년 언어문화 재현 양상 연구

Abstract

본 연구의 목적은 청소년 언어문화에 대한 사회적 이해의 틀을 마련하고 교육적 접근의 토대를 제공하기 위해 청소년 소설이 청소년 언어문화에 대한 인식을 재현하는 방식과 양상을 논의하는 데 있다. 지금까지 청소년 언어문화는 폭력성, 폐쇄성 등 부정적 측면이 강조되어 왔고, 청소년의 언어 현상에 대한 근본적인 이해가 부재하는 상황에서 일방적인 교육적 처방이 진행되어 왔다. 지금까지 형성된 청소년 언어문화에 대한 담론은 앞으로의 청소년 언어문화에 대한 생산적 접근을 차단할 수 있다. 따라서 청소년 언어문화에 대한 기존의 인식 체계를 점검하는 과정은 필수적이다. 이에 따라 본고에서는 청소년 언어문화의 담론을 형성해 온 청소년 언어문화의 재현 방식을 살피기 위해, 여러 매체 중 청소년 소설 텍스트를 선택하여 그 양상을 분석하고 국어교육적 차원의 실천 방향을 제시하였다. Ⅱ장에서는 청소년 언어문화의 재현 방식을 논의하기 위한 이론적 전제를 마련하고자 하였다. 먼저 청소년의 언어문화는 청소년의 언어 행위 뿐 아니라 언어행위가 발생하는 개인적‧사회적 요인과 삶의 맥락을 고려한 개념임을 확인하였다. 이후 B절에서는 청소년 소설이 청소년의 삶을 청소년의 시각으로 그려내고 있다는 점에서 언어문화 재현 분석 대상으로서의 적절성을 확보하고 있음을 밝혔다. 마지막으로 국어과 교육과정의 교육내용 검토를 통해 청소년 언어문화 관련 교육내용 개선의 필요성을 확인하였다. 위의 논의를 바탕으로 Ⅲ장에서는 청소년 소설에 나타난 청소년 언어문화 양상을 구체적으로 분석하였다. 청소년 언어문화가 구체적으로 재현된 작품을 선택하여 자료를 수집하였으며, 유형과 기능을 중심으로 분석을 진행하였다. 분석 결과, 청소년 소설은 청소년 언어문화의 편중된 재현 양상을 보이고 있었다. 과격하고 폭력적인 유형과 부정적 성격의 기능이 높은 비율을 차지하였다. 그러나 동시에 청소년들의 언어 행위에 관한 상황과 맥락의 구체적 제시를 통해 청소년 언어문화에 대한 심층적 이해의 가능성을 도모하고 있었다. Ⅲ장의 분석결과를 바탕으로 Ⅳ장에서는 청소년 언어문화 재현 양상의 의미를 논의하고 국어교육적 실천방향을 제시하였다. 청소년 소설에 나타난 청소년 언어문화는 다양한 측면을 반영하지 못하는 한계를 지니고 있었으나, 발화 상황과 맥락의 제시를 통해 청소년 언어문화에 대한 수용자의 이해의 틀을 확장시킨다는 데에 의미가 있었다. 이어 청소년 언어문화에 대한 사회의 균형적 시각 확장을 위해 국어교육적 차원의 교육 수단을 개발할 필요성을 제시하고, 청소년 언어문화의 교육적 가치 탐색을 통해 청소년 언어문화에 대한 이해 기반을 형성하는 방향을 제안하였다. 본 연구의 제한점으로 청소년 언어문화의 재현 양상 중 한정된 유형을 대상으로 분석을 진행했다는 점을 밝힌다. 때문에 본고의 연구 결과를 청소년 언어문화 재현의 유형으로 일반화하기에는 어려움이 있다. 청소년 언어문화는 앞으로도 다양한 매체를 통해 활발히 재현될 대상이기에, 국어교육에서 지속적으로 관심을 갖고 청소년 언어문화의 재현 방식에 대한 논의가 진행되기를 바란다. 마지막으로 국어교육적 차원의 노력을 기반으로 청소년 언어문화에 대한 사회의 균형적 접근이 이루어지기를 기대한다.;The present study is proposed to discuss representation of language cultures in the adolescent novel to build social frame of understanding, and provide educational approach for the adolescent language culture. The adolescent language culture has had emphasis on violence, and exclusiveness so far, however unilateral educational measure has been taken without fundamental understanding of the adolescents' language phenomenon. It is necessary to check the previous frame of the adolescent language culture since existing discourse about the adolescent language culture may cause intereference with productive approach to the adolescent language culture. Accordingly, the adolescent novel text is chosen and analyzed for studying the representation of the adolescent language culture for suggesting a practical direction in the perspective of korean language education. In chapter 2, theoretical premise is suggested to discuss about the representation of the adolescent language culture. The first idea is that the adolescents' language culture do not only consider one's language behavior, but also consider one's personal factor, social factor, and life context prior to a language behavior. In B, the idea shows that choosing the adolescent novel as an analysis media is appropriate since it describes the adolescents' life in the adolescents' perspective. Lastly, necessity of improving educational contents about the adolescent language culture is confirmed by examining educational contents of the curriculum. Based on the above discussion, chapter 3 conducts detailed analysis of the adolescent language culture in the adolescent novel. The data are collected by choosing literature with concrete the adolescent language culture, and analysis is focus on their category and function. According to the result, the adolescent language culture represents in the adolescent novel is weighted towards negativity. Aggressive, violent and negative functions occupied large proportion. At the same time, the context and the situation of the adolescent language behavior are described in detail to promote deeper understanding of the adolescent language culture. Based on the analysis in chapter 3, chapter 4 discusses about the definition of "the representation of the adolescent language culture", and suggests practical direction for korean language education. The adolescent language culture in adolescent novel has limit to reflect diversity, however it expands consumers' frame of understanding by describing the situation and the context. The demand for developing education measure in korean language education is presented for a symmetrical expansion of vision for the adolescent language culture, and a direction to build a fundamentals of understanding the adolescent language culture is presented through exploration of education value. This study is conducted for limited category of the representation of the adolescent language culture. Thus, the representation of the adolescent language culture's category discussed in this study may not be generalized. Discussion for the representation of the adolescent language culture must be continued since the adolescent language culture will be represented more widely through diverse media. Lastly, conducting a balanced approach based on korean language educational perspective for the representation of the adolescent language culture is expected.
