Abstract
Teaching English through extensive reading is now widely spreading as one of the good method. Nowadays, the researchers are searching for more efficient ways of teaching vocabulary. So, there are many technical developments as a material to teach English to activate student’s motivation and interests. Royce (2002) mentioned that using multimodality which are visualizing or video or audios on teaching English in the modern world especially visual in educational system is helpful to improve creative thing and by seeing the visualizing, learn more enthusiastically, and students’ motivation and great attention. There are many articles about explaining how important the visualizing is when teacher teaches EFL students, however, very a few studies conducted to see whether it is effective or not. Therefore, this portfolio aims to use visualizing on learning target vocabulary and to use target vocabulary in a sentence to prevent from not knowing how to use the vocabulary in a sentence through extensive reading for EFL students in Korea. Thus, this portfolio is designed to teach vocabulary through extensive reading which is fairy tale from the world to activate student’s motivation. This textbook seeks to integrate fun and meaningful reading, listening, speaking, writing activities so that student can improve their productive skill.
