p-hyponormal operators and quasisimilarity

Abstract

In this paper it is shown that the normal parts of quasisimilar p-hyponormal operators are unitarily equivalent, a p-hyponormal operator compactly quasisimilar to an isometry is normal, and a p-hyponormal spectral operator is normal.
