훈데르트바서(Hundertwasser) 회화 작품을 응용한 패션디자인 연구

Abstract

현대 패션은 다양한 영역과 결합하며 예술적 발전을 이루고 있다. 특히, 예술 분야 중 회화는 패션디자인의 다양한 영감이 되어 왔으며, 최근에는 감성과 융합의 가치가 중시되면서 회화를 모티프로 한 패션이 많이 등장하고 있다. 모티프는 이전의 평면적인 표현에서 벗어나 입체적인 형태와 질감을 부각시키고 있으며, 이를 위해 다양한 장식 기법들이 적극적으로 활용되고 있다. 이에 본 연구는 훈데르트바서의 회화 작품에 나타는 유기적 선의 특성을 패션디자인에 응용하고자 한다. 훈데르트바서 회화는 원형, 사각형, 물결, 나선형의 반복과 확장으로 유기적인 선이 파생되며, 화려하고 선명한 색채의 결합으로 생동감이 더욱 강조된다. 본 연구에서는 이와 같은 회화의 자유로운 곡선과 반복되는 선적 흐름을 표현하기 위해 터킹 기법을 활용하고자 한다. 모티프의 생동감있는 색채와 형태의 표현을 위해 디지털 프린트를 활용하고, 입체적인 형태를 유지하기 위해 네오프랜 소재를 사용하여 작품을 제작 하고자 한다. 본 연구의 목적은 훈데르트바서의 회화에 나타난 리듬감 있는 선의 흐름을 터킹 기법을 통해 표현함으로써, 새로운 조형미를 창출하고 패션 디자인 표현 영역을 확대하는 것이다. 본 연구의 내용과 방법은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 훈데르트바서 회화 작품의 형성배경과 작품세계를 문헌 자료와 선행 연구들을 토대로 고찰하며, 회화 작품에 나타난 조형적 특성을 선, 면, 색채로 나누어 분석한다. 또한 인터넷 검색을 통해 훈데르트바서 회화를 응용된 현대 패션디자인 사례를 살펴본다. 둘째, 터킹 기법의 개념과 유래, 터킹의 종류와 표현 특성을 문헌을 중심으로 알아보고, 터킹 기법이 응용된 현대 패션 디자인 사례들을 컬렉션을 중심으로 살펴본다. 분석한 이론적 배경을 토대로 훈데르트바서 회화의 특성을 반영한 실물 작품 6벌을 제작한다. 본 연구를 통해 얻은 결론은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 작품의 모티프로서 훈데르트바서 회화 작품은 유기적인 곡선과 외곽으로 확장되는 선의 조형적 특성으로 인해 자유롭고 역동적인 이미지를 강조하기에 적합하였다. 둘째, 훈데르트바서 작품에 나타난 자유로운 선을 따라 터킹 기법을 활용한 결과 터킹선의 집중과 분산으로 인한 율동적인 곡면이 형성되어 비정형적인 실루엣을 창출할 수 있었다. 셋째, 작품의 소재에 있어서 네오프랜은 디지털 프린트를 통해 훈데르트바서 작품의 선명한 색채를 표현 하기에 적합하였으며, 터킹 기법을 적용하였을 때 풍성한 요철효과와 입체적인 형태감 유지를 가능하게 하였다. 넷째, 단위 형태의 입체적인 모티프를 부분적으로 부착한 경우, 훈데르트바서 회화에 나타난 점층적으로 반복되는 선의 특성으로 인해 3차원적인 입체감을 더욱 강조할 수 있었다.;Modern fashion is making artistic development by combining with various fields. Painting in the field of art is emerging as a muse of various sensibilities in the world of fashion design. This flow changes the human emotional experience and focuses on expressing the change. Unique texture expressions and sewing methods that emphasize structural and dimensional surfaces are continuously being used getting out of the old way by introducing pictorial features to expression. The Hundertwasser paintings have organic spirals and square geometric patterns, and colorful, bright colored lines and formative features. In order to apply this characteristic of painting, digital printing and tucking techniques are used in this work. The motif in the Hundertwasser painting is applied to digital printing and the tucking technique was used to represent the organic spiral and geometric lines in a rhythmic manner. This study introduces the characteristics of Hundertwasser’s spiral painting, which has the structural tendency of organic line, into fashion design through various decorative sewing techniques rather than general expression. The purpose of this study is to expand the expression area of fashion design by using the tucking technique in the composition of line image and formative stereoscopic effect for Hundertwasser’s spiral painting The content and method of this study are to investigate the formative background, the world of work, and the formative features of the Hundertwasser paintings and the expressive characteristics of each topic based on literature materials and previous studies. In addition, I examined the case of modern design which applied the expression of Hundertwasser work. The concept and kind of the tucking technique used in this study were examined. I tried to examine the cases of contemporary fashion design using tucking technique through analyzing photo data collection and internet search. Based on the analyzed theoretical background, I made six actual works. The work is composed of one long coat, one jacket, three dresses, one Top, one pants, and two skirt. The conclusions of this study are as follows.First, the organic spiral and the image of quadrangular and geometrical lines in the Hundertwasser paintings are suitable for expressing the curve tucking technique with the rhythmic sense and lively feeling. Second, the colorful colors and decorative patterns of the Hundertwasser paintings were able to express the effect of emphasizing the motive clearly by introducing digital printing. Third, the visual effect of stereoscopic and drape property stood out by the sewing technique for expressing one-dimensional work of the Hundertwasser painting as a neo-fran material. Fourth, all the production process is made with handicraft not only raises the artistic value, but also examined the possibility of creating an accidental line through the irregular curve tucking technique.Fifth, I tried to find applicability of three dimensional stereo effects by changing the height of Individual motive in accordion form.
