안현정 작곡 <초여름 숲처럼>, <오래된 정원> 분석연구

Abstract

본 논문은 작곡가 안현정의 작품 중 ‘2인 여성을 위한 노래 <초여름 숲처럼>’과 ‘여성정가를 위한 <오래된 정원>’의 노래선율 및 가사를 분석하고 연구한 것이다. 두 곡의 분석을 위해 작곡가의 음악적 배경과 작품경향에 대해 알아보았고 각 곡의 악곡형식을 파악하여 노래 선율 및 가사를 분석하였다. 두 곡의 연구 결과를 정리하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, ‘2인의 여성을 위한 노래 <초여름 숲처럼>’의 악곡형식은 총 4부분의 통절형식이며 󰍽, 󰍾, 󰍿, 󰎀로 나뉘어 있다. 각 단락별 특징을 보면, 󰍽단락은 빠르기가 󰁜=35, 조성은 b♭m이며 동기적 요소를 발전시켜 주제 선율이 제시되는 도입부이다. 두 인성간의 모방 진행과 화음 진행이 나타났으며 노래 선율은 순차진행과 멜리스마를 주로 사용하였다. 가사의 특징은 ‘나무’라는 시어를 강조하여 초여름 날의 분위기를 느끼게 하였고 ‘그대와 나 사이엔’이라는 시어를 강조하여 상대방과의 거리감과 관계에 대해 표현하였다. 󰍾단락은 빠르기가 󰁜=40, 조성은 b♭m이며 반주악기는 아르페지오, 오스티나토, 트레몰로 기법을 사용하였고 노래Ⅰ, 노래Ⅱ의 선율은 구음과 가사, 멜리스마와 실라빅을 사용하여 두 성부간의 대조적 진행이 나타났다. ‘푸른 숨결을 내뿜을 수밖에 없다’라는 가사를 리듬 전개의 확장을 통하여 강조하고 있다. 󰍿단락은 빠르기가 󰁜=40, 조성이 b♭m에서 cm로, cm에서 e♭m로 두 번 전조가 되면서 음악이 점차 고조되는 단락이다. 노래 선율은 두 성부간의 병진행과 반진행을 사용하여 화음의 변화를 강조하였다. 가사의 특징은 문정희의 시「초여름 숲처럼」에서 생략된 2연, 3연에서 느껴지는 시의 분위기와 초여름의 시원함을 가사 없이 구음으로 표현하였다. 󰎀단락은 빠르기가 󰁜=40, 조성은 e♭m이며 󰍽단락과 유사한 부분으로, 주제 선율을 다시 한 번 강조하며 음악을 끝내는 종결부이다. 노래 선율은 두 성부가 서로 주고받는 형태이며 가사의 특징은 앞의 단락부터 ‘푸른 하늘, 푸른 숨결, 짙푸른 강, 초여름 숲’ 등과 같은 색채감을 사용한 시어를 각 단락마다 차례대로 인용하여 초여름에 느낄 수 있는 푸르른 생명력을 표현하였다. 둘째, ‘여성정가를 위한 <오래된 정원>’의 악곡형식은 단악장의 유절형식이며 󰍽, 󰍾, 󰍽', 󰍾'로 나뉘어 있다. 박자와 조성은 변화 없이 12/8박자와 cm가 쓰였다. 각 단락별 특징을 보면, 󰍽단락은 빠르기가 󰁜=35이며 동기적 요소를 발전시켜 주제 선율이 제시되는 도입부이다. 노래 선율은 순차 진행과 멜리스마를 주로 사용하고 있으며 선율의 일부분이 가곡과 가사에 쓰이는 표현과 유사한 형태로 나타났고 가사의 특징은 악구의 끝부분에 각운을 사용하여 통일감을 주었다. 󰍾단락은 빠르기가 󰁜=45이며 반주악기는 헤미올라와 오스티나토 기법을 사용하였고 도약 진행과 멜리스마의 선율 진행이 주로 나타났다. 가사의 특징은 두운을 사용하여 통일감을 주었고 다이나믹을 통해 ‘저 홀로’라는 시어를 강조하여 쓸쓸함을 표현하였다. 󰍽'단락은 󰍽단락의 노래 선율에 가사만 바뀌어 반복되는 형태이다. 가사의 변화에 따라 리듬만 일부 변하였고 󰍽단락과 동일하게 각운을 사용하여 통일감을 주었다. 󰍾'단락은 󰍾단락의 선율과 가사를 동일하게 반복하며 추가로 선율을 삽입한 단락이다. 추가된 선율은 멜리스마와 다이나믹을 활용하였고 구음을 사용하여 음색과 음량에 변화를 주었다. 이상의 연구결과와 같이 안현정의 정가 창작곡 <2인의 여성을 위한 노래 ‘초여름 숲처럼’>과 <여성정가를 위한 ‘오래된 정원’>은 전통기법과 현대적인 창작어법을 조화롭게 사용하여 만든 작품이다. 본 논문을 통해 연주자들에게 이 곡에 대한 이해와 해석에 도움을 주며 앞으로 더 많은 정가 창작곡들에 대한 연구와 다양한 성격의 정가 창작곡이 작곡되길 기대해 본다.;This study is the result of analysis and research of the melody and lyrics of ‘A song for two women <Like the forest in early summer>’ and ‘<Old garden> for women’s classical music’ among many works by a composer Ahn, Hyun-jung. The study looked into the composer’s musical background and the work tendency, and the melody and lyrics of both songs were analyzed by comprehending the melody formation. Following is the result of the research done on two songs. First of all, the melody formation of ‘A song for 2 women <Like the forest in early summer>’ was composed of a through-composed form with a total of 4 sections, 󰍽, 󰍾, 󰍿, 󰎀. The speed of paragraph 󰍽 was 󰁜=35, and its key was b♭m. It was the intro that proposes the theme melody by developing a motivational element. It showed the imitation process and the chord progression of two people and the melody of the song used the conjunct motion and a melisma. The characteristic of lyrics was that it emphasized the poetic word ‘tree’ to add in the atmosphere of early summer to the song. It also emphasized the poetic words ‘between you and me’ to express the distance and relationship with the other person. The speed of paragraph 󰍾 was 󰁜=40, and its key was b♭m. The accompaniment instruments were an arpeggio and an ostinato. The tremolo technique was used. Each melody of song I and song II showed a contrasting progress in voice parts through the oral sound and lyrics as well as by using melisma and syllabic. The song put emphasis on lyrics ‘I had to let out fresh breaths’ through the expansion of the rhythms. The speed of paragraph 󰍿 was 󰁜=40 and its keys change twice from b♭m to cm and from cm to e♭m, so the tone of this paragraph in the music rose. The melody of music emphasized the change in chords by using the parallel motion and the contrary motion in two voice parts. The characteristic of lyrics was that it expresses the atmosphere of the poem and the coolness of early summer shown in the second and third stanzas which were omitted from the poem 「Like the forest in the early summer」 by the poe Moon, Jeong-hui. The speed of paragraph 󰎀 was 󰁜=40, and its key was e♭m. It was a similar part with paragraph 󰍽. It also stresses the theme melody one more time and was the coda that closes the music. The melody of the song was in a form where two voices exchange turns and the characteristic of lyrics was that the song uses colorful poetic words, in each paragraph in order. Such words are ‘blue sky, fresh breath, dark blue river, forest in early summer’ and more; these words were used to describe the blue vitality that can be felt in early summer. Secondly, the melody formation of ‘<Old garden> for women’s classical music’ was a strophic form with a single movement and was divided into 󰍽, 󰍾, 󰍽' and 󰍾'. The beat and key did not change from 12/8 beat and cm. The speed of paragraph 󰍽 was 󰁜=35 and it was the intro that proposes the theme melody by developing a motivational element. The melody of the song used the conjunct motion and a melisma. Parts of the melody showed similar expressions and forms used in songs and lyrics. The characteristic of lyrics was that a rhyme was used at the end of each section to give a sense of unity. The speed of paragraph 󰍾 was 󰁜=45. The accompaniment instruments are a hemiola, and the ostinato technique was used. The disjunct motion and the melisma melody motion mostly occurred in the song. The characteristic of lyrics was that alliteration was used to provide a sense of unity and a poetic word ‘alone’ was emphasized through the dynamic to express the loneliness. Paragraph 󰍽' was a repetitive paragraph with the melody of paragraph 󰍽, but has different lyrics. Parts of rhythms were changed because of the changes made in lyrics. The sense of unity was formed in this paragraph as well by using rhymes like paragraph 󰍽. Paragraph 󰍾' repeats the melody and lyrics of paragraph 󰍾 and added additional tunes. Added tunes used melisma and dynamic. It also used oral sounds to change up the tone and the volume. As shown with the research result, songs by composer Ahn, Hyun-jung such as ‘A song for two women <Like the forest in early summer>’ and ‘<Old garden> for women’s classical music’ are works that used the traditional technique and the modern creative method. The purpose of this study is to provide deeper understanding and analysis of two songs for other musicians and to give motivations for other classical music composers to write more creative classical music with various
