Abstract
The purpose of the study is investigate difference in ground reaction and wearability along with foot shape (normal foot, flatfoot-intensity, flexibility) and inner foot arch support band structure (no, straight, x shape) in ballet vertical jump by approaching from dance biomechanics. Research target group was composed of 12 healthy women in the ages 20s, ballet majors over 10 years with dance experience, no lower body injury within the recent 3 months, having no problem in performing ballet no.2 vertical jump. Foot shape was divided into flat foot group, over –°2〫, and normal foot group below- °2 by measuring resting calcaneal stance position (RCSP: resting calcaneal stance position). When scaphoid height is over 10mm around weight load by measuring navicular drop test on the flatfoot group (NDT: navicular drop test), it implies Gwahwenae. This research classified this as flexible flat foot, and classified that with difference below 10㎜ as intensive flat foot. Independence variables are foot shape (normal foot, flatfoot- stiff flatfoot, flexible flatfoot) and inner foot arch support band structure (no, straight, x shape). Displacement control of support band was 50㎜/min, tension intensity was 12.92㎫, and fracture elongation rate was 928.7%. Subordinate factors are the question over ground reaction variable, wearability, jump sense, and landing sense. Ground reaction variable was measured in the right foot using force plat form, and the variabes are required time(total required time, required time for leap, require time for staying in the air, landing time), leap(pressing-active lead rate, pressing-active strength, active maximum strength, stretching-active decrease rate, unfolding-active strength, Z-Y maximum strength time difference, Z-X maximum strength time difference), landing(passive peak number, elbow passive load rate, heel passive load rate, passive maximum strength, lowering strength, bouncing strength, pressing strength, unfolding strength, Z-Y maximum power time difference, Z-X maximum power time difference). Wearability, jump sense, landing sense were measured using a questionnaire. Data process was performed based on Window IBM SPSS Statistics 22.0 statistical program, performing one-way layout variance analysis to investigate differnece in ground reaction between normal foot and flatfoot- intensity, flatfoot-flexibility, difference in ground reaction along with support band structure, normal foot and flatfoot- intensity, difference along with flatfoot-flexibility and support band structure, wearability along with support band structure, and differnece in jump sense and landing sense. Statistical significance was p<.05, post verification was performed with Bonferroni. Research results are as follows. A. Difference in ground reaction according to foot shape Only in landing unfolding strength, normal foot(71.18, ±14.18) appeared statistically small significantly compared to flexible flatfoot(94.13, ±16.65) (5.04*). B. Difference in ground reaction per support band structure Support band structure appeared significantly long in x shape band with required time(F=6.01**) ,leap(F=12.29***), and landing(F=4.11*). Particularly, passive maximum strength in landing significantly improved in x shape band(519.52, ±85.25) (F=7.85**). It was determined to be effective in preventing injury due to shock upon landing. C. Difference in ground reaction along with foot shape and support band structure Ground reaction difference along with foot shape and support band structure displayed the longest required time in x shape band in normal foot(1.23, ±.06) (F=2.33*). The impact upon landing statistically decreased significantly when wearing x shape band in normal foot(511.21, ±59.43) and stiff flat foot(46.03, ±125.86), while flexible flat foot(564.74, ±33.87) displayed the lowest impact in straight band(F=2.93*). This determined that the bands in two structures were effective in reducing impact, and the structure of band was different along with foot shape to reduce impact. D. Investigation of wearability per support band structure, jump sense, and landing sense Bands in both structures appeared favorable in the survey on wearabiliy (F=3.46*), jump sense (F=6.95**), and landing sense (F=18.53***) along with support band structure. In respect of wearability, straight band (3.75, ±.45) displayed the highest score, while x shape band displayed the highest score in jump sense (3.92, ±.67) and landing sense (4.25, ±.62). When wearing the bands in two structures, required time for landing appeared significantly longer compared to no band wearing. Nevertheless no statistical significance, x shape band displayed the smallest slope (gentle slope) in active load rate bending the knee, while x shape band displayed the biggest (steep slope) in active decrease rate while leaping in unfolding the knee scope, accordingly, time to bend the knee to jump appeared long. Required time for landing also appeared the longest in x shape band, while the passive maximum strength (impact) appeared in landing by dispersing passive maximum strength (impact) small in both band structures. Also, lowering strength and pressing strength were small when searing two band structures. Such result is useful for the basic material for development of inner foot arch support band to be utilized in dance class or training process. Furthermore, this research can be applied to the public and athletes who perform jump frequently, who require inner foot arch support, as well as dance major students. Based on the above research result, it is necessary to perform follow-up research on foot shape of ballet vertical jump, electromyograph that investigates muscles used along with inner foot arch support band structure(EMG), analysis of difference in lower body angle through image analysis, and analysis of long-term use effect.
