Abstract
This thesis aimed to analyze the difference in the ground reaction during the second position jump in ballet depending on the types of ballet shoes. The result of this study will help dancers prevent accidents, chronic pain or injury, and therefore, it can be used as a training resource. The participants in the test were 12 dancers in their twenties who majored in ballet and performed for over ten years and had no difficulty in performing the second position jump without any injury in the lower body for the last five months. The independent variable is the type of ballet shoes. The types of ballet shoes used in the study were generic shoes that are used during the training, self-made 5-toed forefoot shoes made from BLOCH's foot thongIII semi-shoe heel attached with toes on a rubber band, and 5-toed forefoot shoes for the medial arch of foot that combined the self-made 5-toed forefoot shoes and the band structure that supports the medial arch of foot. The dependent variables were the floor reaction factors, such as the active maximum force, the active loading rate, the passive maximum force, the number of passive peak, the passive maximum loading rate, and the passive maximum decay rate. The study also conducted a survey on the sensation of wearing, jumping and landing. Lab equipment used in the study was a ground reaction force plate (KISTLER 9286B), an amplifier, a computer, and a metronome, and for data processing, IBM SPSS V. 22.0 statistics program on Windows was used to perform one-way AVONA to analyze the difference in the ground reaction force between the generic shoes, the 5-toed forefoot shoes, and the medial arch of foot 5-toed forefoot shoes, the sensation of wearing, jumping and landing based on the types of ballet shoes. The statistical significance level p<.05, and LSD was used for the post-verification. The results of the study are as follows: A. The difference in ground reaction force between the types of ballet shoes a. The passive maximum force on landing was significantly reduced (F=43.20** *) with the 5-toed forefoot shoes (510.55 N, ±79.33 N) and the medial arc h of foot 5-toed forefoot shoes (530.03 N, ±76.38 N). b. The number of passive peak based on the type of ballet shoes was signific ant reduced (F=3.18*) with the medial arch of foot 5-toed forefoot shoes (3.17, ±1.11). c. The active maximum force, the active loading rate, the passive maximum lo ading rate, and the passive maximum decay rate did not show any significa nt difference by the types of ballet shoes. B. A survey on the sensation of wearing, jumping, and landing by the types of b allet shoes The sensation of wearing by the types of ballet shoes (F=2.27, p=.119) was not statistically significant. However, the sensation of jumping (F=18.78***) and landing (F=49.50***) was significantly higher with the 5-toed forefoot shoes and the medial arch of foot 5-toed forefoot shoes than the generic shoes, and the values were higher with the medial arch of foot 5-toed forefoot shoes than the 5-toed forefoot shoes From the above results, the following conclusions were made. In generic shoes, 5-toed forefoot shoes, medial arch of foot 5-toed forefoot shoes, there was a difference in ground reaction forced when ballet action was performed. Less muscle force is required to perform the landing, and the development of the abductor digitiminimi and the support of 5-toed forefoot shoes, the medial arch of foot 5-toed forefoot shoes and reduce the impact force from the ground during landing, which is believed to play a positive role in preventing injury. The enhancement of the proprioceptive sensation through the even use of five toes will help dancers prevent accidents, chronic pain or injury, and therefore, it can be used as a training resource.
