빛의 형상화

Abstract

우리는 일상생활에서 빛과 함께 살아간다. 빛은 태고적부터 존재했으며, 인간은 태어날 때부터 빛과 함께 있는 것을 당연하게 여긴다. 자연에서 오는 빛 뿐만 아니라, 인간이 만들어낸 인공적인 빛 까지 모두 일상생활에 매우 밀접한 관계를 가지게 하는데 이것은 너무 가까운 나머지 새삼스럽게 느끼지 못할 때도 있다. 이것은 익숙해졌기 때문인데, 그러나 익숙하다는 것은 그만큼 영향을 많이 받았다는 것이고, 그것은 그만큼의 영향력이 있다는 것이다. 본인은 인간에게 많은 영향력을 끼치는 빛을 소재로 삼았는데, 특히나 빛이 가지는 속성과 그 에너지에 관심을 두고 그것을 표현함으로써 비물질적이고 추상적인 빛을 형상화 하는 것에 초점을 맞추고자 하였다. 빛은 손에 잡히지 않고 뚜렷한 형태도 없으며 정확한 색 및 무게도 없다. 이러한 비물질적인 속성에도 불구하고 우리들은 빛을 느낄 수 있다. 어둠 속에서 빛의 줄기들을 바라보기도 하고, 빛이 비추어진 표면의 색들을 보기도 한다. 또한 빛으로 인해 생긴 그림자를 보며 빛을 이해하기도 하고 빛으로 인해 따듯해진 온도를 느끼기도 한다. 빛은 비물질적인 특성을 가졌음에도 불구하고, 인간은 그것을 자신의 감각들을 통해 느끼며 살아가는데, 이것은 우리의 삶에 굉장히 밀착적이고, 필수적이며 곳곳에 스며들어있다. 본인은 이런 필수불가결하며 중요한 에너지를 가지는 빛의 모습을 화면에 담고자 하였으며, 이러한 빛의 속성과 모습을 구상을 통해 자유롭게 표현하고자 하였다. 본 연구의 이론적 측면에서는 기본적인 빛의 속성과 의미를 과학적으로 접근한 빛의 속성 부분과 색, 역사적인 접근으로 살펴본 빛의 의미로 살펴보았다. 빛이 지니고 있는 직진성이라는 속성에 따라 나타나는 빛의 산란, 분산, 굴절, 반사와 그것으로 나타나는 형태를 연구하였고, 가시광선을 통해 보이는 빛의 색을 물리학자들의 연구결과를 통해 어떤 식으로 나타나는가를 알아보았다. 또한 빛의 기능적인 부분으로 인해 빛이 가지는 의미들이 시대를 거쳐 어떻게 표현되며 형성되었는지 알아보고자 하였다. 고대의 신과 연관된 빛에서부터 근현대의 희망과 치유를 포함하는 의미를 알아보았고 그것을 본인의 작품의 이론적 배경으로 바탕을 두고자 하였다. 자연적인 빛과 함께 인간이 살아가는데 필수적으로 존재하는 인공적인 빛 대하여 조금 알아보고 그 중에서도 본인의 작품 속 빛에 큰 영향을 주었던 무대미술에서 볼 수 있는 빛에 대하여 구체적으로 살펴보았다. 무대미술에서 쓰이는 빛은 우주에서 오는 자연적인 빛은 아니지만, 자연을 암시하기도 하며 인간의 심정을 느끼게도 해주고 스토리를 풀어나가는 역할도 하는 점에서 흥미로운 부분들이 있다. 이러한 빛에 의한 스케치는 목적이 굉장히 분명해서 색들을 만들어내어 무대에 필요한 분위기나 원하는 상황을 만들어 보여주는 행위를 하는데 본 논문의 주제인 빛의 형상화와 아주 밀접한 관련이 있다. 무대미술에서는 빛을 이용한 예술을 통해 관객들에게 무대에서 필요한 관념이나 분위기를 보인다면, 본인은 대명사적인 의미로써 빛을 작품으로 형상화 하였다. 형상화된 빛을 통해서 생기와 에너지, 아름다움을 보여주고자 하였는데 이것은 자연에서 보는 빛을 소재로 한 것은 아니다. 자연에서 보는 빛보다는 인공적으로 빛을 이용하여 에너지를 느끼게 하는 것으로 무대미술에서 사용되는 빛과 유사하다고 판단되어 무대미술 속의 빛을 연구하게 되었다. 그래서 조명이라는 빛이 무대미술에서 어떤 식으로 작동하여 감성을 만들어내는지와 비교하여 본인이 작품에서 빛을 형상화 하는 과정과 그것을 통해 나온 형상화에 관하여 연구해보고자 하였다. 또한 빛은 시대마다 연구되었기 때문에, 전반적으로 시대을 거쳐 가며 빛에 대하여 연구하였던 미술사를 천천히 짚어보고, 특히 동양에서 빛을 포착하는 것에 집중하고 몰두했었던 작가들을 찾아서 그들의 작품과 빛을 표현하는 방법들에 대하여 본인의 작품과 비교하고 분석해보고자 하였다. 근 현대에서 한국의 화가들 중 빛과 색채의 화가로 알려진 하동철의 작품 빛02-03와 Falls Of Light 등을 살펴보며 빛 그 자체에 대해 연구하고 표현했던 작품들을 본인의 작품의 빛을 표현하는 방법과 비교하고 분석하였다. 또한 근대 한국에서 빛에 대해서 연구하였던 이준 화가의 작품 動-A 에서도 빛에 대해 연구한 흔적과 본인의 작품과 비교하여 서술하고자 하였다. 본인은 무대에서 보여지는 빛들이 나타나는 형상에 따라 빛줄기들과 빛이 가지고 있는 속성인 직진성, 방향성 등에 주목을 하였다. 직진성과 방향성같은 속성들로 나타나는 빛의 산란하며 여러 갈래로 뻗어나가는 모습과 부드럽게 퍼지는 모습 등이 빛이 가지는 운동성과 의미들을 나타내주는 모습이라고 보았고, 그러한 모습들을 통해 빛이 강렬한 힘과 에너지를 보여준다고 생각하였다. 이를 토대로 방법적 연구에서는 빛의 의미와 속성을 통해 빛을 표현하는 것에 가장 적합한 강렬하고 원색적인 색을 주색으로 사용하였고, 그 과정에서 청색과 황색을 본인 작품에서 어떠한 느낌과 의미를 가지며 빛을 표현했는지에 대해 연구하였다. 그리고 또한 조형의 기본요소인 점과 선과 면을 통하여 빛의 형상화 하는 방법을 알아보고자 하였는데, 점을 이용하여 빛의 경계적인 부분에 대해 부드럽게 표현하고자 하였고, 선을 통해 빛의 직진성과 연관이 있는 빛줄기와 뻗어나가는 힘에 대해서 표현하고자 하였다. 면은 선으로 다 표현되지 못하는 빛의 거대한 힘을 표현하는 것을 추구하였으며 이런 점, 선, 면의 기본적인 조형요소를 통해 빛의 다양한 모습을 나타내고자 하였다. 여백의 부분에서는 그려지지 않은 공간과 그것에서 느껴지는 깊이와 공간성, 그로인해 더 잘 드러나는 빛의 모습과 조화로운 빛의 표현 에 대하여 알아보는 것을 목적으로 하여 연구하고자 하였고 보는 이에게 빛과 공간에 대한 상상의 여지를 보여주는 것에 주목하여 연구하였다. 또한 작품분석을 통해 본인의 작품을 스스로 바라보며 앞에서 연구하였던 이론적 배경과 표현적 방법을 활용하여 작품분석에 대한 이해를 돕고자 하였고, 결론적으로 본 연구를 통하여 빛의 형상화에 대하여 본인의 작품 표현을 정리하고 객관적으로 되돌아보는 계기를 얻게 되었다. 또한 앞으로의 작품세계에 대한 지속적인 연구와 끊임없는 노력을 통해 나아갈 방향을 모색하는 긍정적인 결과를 기대한다.;We live with light in everyday life. I have made light that has a lot of influence on human beings, especially focusing on the properties of light and its energy and expressing it by focusing on the shaping of non-material and abstract light. Light is not caught in the hand, there is no definite form, there is no exact color and weight. Despite these immaterial attributes, we can feel the light. In the dark, we look at the stems of light and also see the colors of the lighted surface. They also understand the light by seeing the shadows created by the light and feel the warmed temperature due to the light. Despite the fact that light has an immaterial character, human beings feel it through their senses, which is very close, essential, and permeable to our lives. I wanted to display the light of this indispensable and important energy on the screen and wanted to freely express the nature and the appearance of such light through the idea. In the theoretical aspect of this study, we examined the properties and meanings of basic light in terms of the properties of light, the color, and the meaning of light as a historical approach. I studied the scattering, scattering, refraction, reflection, and the shapes of light that appear according to the property of the straightness of light, and I know how the color of light seen through visible rays is expressed through the results of physicists. saw. We also tried to understand how the meaning of light due to the functional part of light was expressed and formed through the ages. From the light associated with ancient gods to the hope and healing of modern and modern times, I have studied the meaning and based on the theoretical background of my work. I studied a little about the artificial light which is essential for the human being to live with the natural light, and I examined specifically the light which can be seen in the stage art which had a great influence on the light in my work. The light used in stage art is not a natural light coming from outer space, but there are interesting parts in that it also implies nature, it also makes people feel their heart and plays a role of releasing the story. This sketch based on light is very clear in purpose, and it creates colors and creates the atmosphere and the desired situation on the stage, and it is very closely related with the theme of light of this paper. In stage art, if I show the audience the necessary ideas and atmosphere on the stage through the art using light, I embodied the light as a work in the pronoun meaning. It was intended to show life, energy and beauty through the shaped light. It is not based on light seen in nature. It was judged to be similar to the light used in the stage art by making the art feel the energy by using the light rather than the light seen in nature, and it was studied the light in the stage art. So, I tried to study about the process of shaping light in my work and the shape that emerged through it in comparison with how the light of light works in the stage art to create emotion. Since light has been studied from generation to generation, it is necessary to slowly examine the history of art that has been studied through the ages in general, to find artists who have focused on capturing light in the East, I would compare it with my work and analyze it. Hye Dong Chul's work known as a painter of light and color among Korean painters in the modern era, looking at light 02-03 and Falls Of Light, And analyzed. In addition, I tried to describe in comparison with the trace of the study of light and his work in the work of Lee Jun who studied about light in modern Korea. I noticed the light stalks and the properties of light, straightness and direction, depending on the appearance of the lights seen on the stage. I saw that the light scattered by the properties such as straightness and direction, and the figure that spreads out for many times and spreads smoothly shows the motions and meanings of the light, and the light shows intense power and energy through such images . Based on this, in the methodological study, intense and primary color which is most suitable for expressing the light through the meaning and attribute of light was used as the main color. In addition, we tried to find out how to shape the light through the points, lines and faces, which are basic elements of molding. And the research results are as follows. In addition, I tried to help my understanding of the analysis of the work by using the theoretical background and the expressive method which I have studied in my own way through the analysis of the work. In conclusion, through this research, And I got an opportunity to look back objectively. In addition, I hope to have a positive result in pursuing my direction through continuous research and constant efforts in the future work world.
