Abstract

본 논문은 필자의 졸업연주 프로그램을 연구한 것으로 헨델(Georg Friedrich Händel, 1685-1759), 슈베르트(Franz Schubert, 1797-1828), 뿔랑(Francis Poulenc, 1899-1963), 투리나(Joaquin Turina, 1882-1949)의 성악곡들로 이루어져 있다. 이 곡들은 바로크 시대부터 20세기까지 시대별로 나누어 영어, 독일어, 프랑스어, 스페인어 등 총 4가지 언어로 구성하였다. 첫 번째 장에서는 헨델(Georg Friedrich Händel, 1685-1759)의 생애와 오라토리오 ≪삼손(Samson, HWV 57)≫에 대해 알아보고, 소프라노 솔로 곡 ‘빛나는 세라핌(Let the bright Seraphim)’에 사용된 바로크 음악의 특징을 알아보았다. 원래 이 곡은 트럼펫의 오블리가토로 연주되지만 필자는 졸업연주에 피아노 반주만으로 연주하여 본 논문에서도 성악과 피아노 반주만을 알아보았다. 두 번째 장에서는 슈베르트(Franz Schubert, 1797-1828)의 생애와 <바위 위의 목동(Der Hirt auf dem Felsen, D.965, Op.129)>의 작곡 배경을 알아보고, 시의 내용에 따라 곡을 세 부분으로 나누어 각 부분의 음악적 구성과 특징을 알아보았다. 세 번째 장은 뿔랑(Francis Poulenc, 1899-1963)의 생애와 4개의 연가곡으로 이루어진 ≪노래되는 선율들(Airs Chantés, FP 46)≫에 대해 알아보았다. 곡의 구성은 <낭만적인 노래(Air romantique)>, <전원의 노래(Air champêtre)>, <엄숙한 노래(Air grave)>, <경쾌한 노래(Air vif)>로 이루어져 있으며, 다양한 음악적 기법을 통해 시가 섬세하게 표현되었다. 네 번째 장은 투리나(Joaquin Turina, 1882-1949)의 생애와 ≪노래 형식에 의한 시(Poema en forma de canciones, Op.19)≫에 대한 내용이다. 곡의 구성은 피아노곡인 <헌정(Dedicatoria)>을 포함한 다섯 곡으로 이루어져 있지만 본 논문에서는 이를 제외한 <결코 용서하지 않으리..( Nunca olvida...)>, <노래(Cantares)>, <두개의 두려움(Los dos miedos)>, <사랑에 흠뻑 빠진 여인들(Las locas por amor)>로 이루어진 네 개의 성악곡만을 알아보았다. 이 네 개의 곡들은 모두 사랑을 주제로 하고 있으며, 스페인의 열정적인 감성이 음악적으로 잘 표현되어 있다. ;This paper analyzes the author’s graduate performance which consists of the vocal works of Georg Friedrich Händel (1685-1759), Franz Peter Schubert (1797-1828), Francis Poulenc (1899-1963), and Joaquin Turina (1882-1949). These works are divided by period from the Baroque to the 20th century in four languages: English, German, French, and Spanish. Chapter 1 reviews the life of Georg Friedrich Händel and his oratorio Samson (HWV 57), and discusses the features of Baroque music used for the aria “Let the bright Seraphim.”This work is originally played by a trumpet and obbligato, but the author’s graduate performance is accompanied only by a piano. Therefore, this paper reviews the work consisting of voice and piano. Chapter 2 discusses the life of Franz Peter Schubert and the background of his composition of “Der Hirt auf dem Felsen (D.965, Op.129)”in three parts divided by the content of the poem to review the musical structure and features of each part. Chapter 3 discusses the life of Francis Poulenc and Airs Chantés (FP 46) consisting of four love songs: Air romantique, Air champêtre, Air grave, and Air vif. Various musical techniques were used to sentimentally express the poem. Chapter 4 reviews the life of Joaquin Turina and his work Poema en forma de canciones (Op.19), which consists of five pieces. This paper excludes a piano piece “Dedicatoria” and analyzes four vocal works of “Nunca olvida...”, “Cantares”, “Los dos miedos”, and “Las locas por amor”. All of these pieces sing about love, musically representing the passion of Spain.
