Abstract
;The purpose of the study is to analyze the difference of plantar pressure distribution and joint angle during Arabesque movement according to the structure of the elastic band. The subjects were 30 students in their twenties who majored in ballet and had done ballet for more than 10 years. The independent variable is the structure of two elastic bands. The elastic bands are a shoulder to ankle band (multi-stretch band, E-Ballet Shop) connecting the shoulder and ankle, and a waist band connecting the waist, wrist and ankle. The plantar pressure distribution and joint angle were measured when the shoulder ankle band and waistband were worn and arabesques were operated. The plantar pressure was measured as maximum plantar force, maximum plantar pressure, and pressure center movement curve by dividing the foot into four parts such as back, middle, front and toes. The joint angle was measured as the inclination distance in front of the upper body, the distance between the shoulder earlobes and the angle of the wicket (between legs). Statistical analysis was performed using the SPSS 18.0 program for Windows. The statistical significance level is p ≤. 05. Results and discussions are as follows. A. Distribution of plantar pressure according to elastic band wearing structure The waist band had significantly lower maximum force and maximum pressure than the shoulder to ankle band. In the shoulder to ankle band, the pressure center shift curve was located in the inner middle part and distributed in and out of the sole. On the other hand, in the waist band it was located in the head of the first metatarsal head and the pressure was distributed in the foot. B. Difference of joint angle according to elastic band wearing structure The inclination distance in front of the upper body and the angle of the wicket were significantly larger in waist band than in shoulder to ankle band. The distance between the shoulder lobes was significantly smaller in waist band. During the operation of the arabesques, the waist elastic band enhances the inherent embracing sensation of the core portion, stably exercises core muscles, mobilizes core muscles stably, effectively transmits force between the upper limb and the lower limb, strengthens pushing power using the uniform force on the soles of the supported limbs, and allows the legs to be lifted higher while tilting the upper body least as possible. This makes it possible to do stable but elegantly beautiful movement in arabesques by enlarging the range of stable movement. These results show that the use of elastic bands in the training of arabesques is of high value and will be useful as a basis for the development of ergonomic elastic bands.
