중학생의 전통문화교육 활성화를 위한 강강술래·처용무 수업지도안 개발

Abstract

본 연구는 중학생을 대상으로 전통문화교육 활성화를 위해 강강술래와 처용무를 활용하여 수업지도안을 개발하는데 목적이 있다. 연구를 위하여 전통문화의 개념과 필요성을 고찰하고 인류무형문화유산으로 세계유네스코에 등재된 강강술래와 처용무를 문헌 분석하여 교육적 요소를 선정하였다. 수업지도안 개발 전 중학생 411명을 대상으로 인식조사를 실시하였고 무성의한 응답을 제외한 405명의 응답결과를 토대로 수업지도안 개발의 필요성을 확인하였다. 인식조사를 통해 효율적인 교수방법을 개발하여 학생들의 전통문화에 대한 올바른 지식전달과 관심을 제고시키고 우리의 문화유산인 한국무용을 활용함으로써 전통의 개념과 전승에 대한 정확한 교육이 필요하다는 결과를 도출하였다. 이와 같은 결과를 바탕으로 강강술래와 처용무에서 전통문화교육에 적합한 교육적 요소를 4가지 영역으로 구분하였다. 첫째, 전통문화를 이해하기 위해 기원과 유래를 활용하여 전승 가치를 학습할 수 있게 구성한다. 둘째, 무용 음악의 기본 장단을 배우며 우리의 가락을 체험할 수 있게 한다. 셋째, 신체활동을 통해 주요 동작을 습득하고 무용 안에 깃든 전통 사상을 이해할 수 있게 한다. 넷째, 습득한 동작을 바탕으로 움직임을 창작하고 현대적 해석을 통해 전통을 재창조 할 수 있게 구성한다. 위 내용을 종합하여 수업지도안을 구성하고 개발된 무용 수업지도안의 내용타당도와 현장적용 가능성을 알아보기 위해 전문가 집단의 검증을 실시하였다. 검증 결과를 통해 본 수업지도안은 체계적으로 구성되어 있으며 전통문화교육과 연관성이 높아 효율적인 학습이 이루어질 수 있을 것이라는 긍정적인 평가를 받았다. 또한 신체활동을 기반으로 전통의 가치를 이해하고 자발적으로 참여함으로써 전통문화를 재창조할 수 있으며 교육을 통해 민족적 자긍심을 느낄 수 있게 구성되어 있다는 의견을 확인할 수 있었다. 따라서 본 연구는 다양한 문화가 공존하는 시대에 우리 문화를 올바르게 이해할 수 있는 무용 수업지도안을 제시하고 전통문화교육의 활성화를 위해 기초자료를 제공했다는 점에서 교육적 가치를 지닌 연구라 볼 수 있다.;The aim of this study was to develop a dance teaching plan for middle school students to provide well-organized education in traditional Korean culture. To do so, we examined the definition and necessity of traditional culture and reviewed literature on Ganggangsullae and Cheoyongmu─both registered as UNESCO world heritage─to identify educational elements in them. Prior to developing the dance teaching plan, we conducted a Cognitive survey for 411 middle school students and examined 405 replies, excluding incomplete ones, to verify the need to develop such a teaching plan. The results of the Survey showed that it is necessary to develop an effective teaching method to deliver accurate knowledge on traditional culture to students, to stimulate their interest in the subject, and to develop a teaching plan based on the cultural heritage of traditional dance to provide proper education on traditional culture and its legacy. Based on this necessity, we identified educational elements suitable for school education from Ganggangsullae and Cheoyongmu, and we grouped them into four activities. The first involves discussing the origins of traditional culture to understand the value of learning this culture. The second is to learn and experience the basic rhythms and tunes of traditional dance music. The third involves physical activities to learn the main moves of traditional dance and to feel the spirit of the cultural heritage inherent in them. The fourth activity allows students to choreograph their own moves based on what they learned, to recreate the tradition through contemporary reinterpretation. Combining these elements, I designed a dance teaching plan and tested it on a group of experts to verify the validity and applicability of the teaching plan. The feedback was positive, indicating that the teaching plan is well organized and quite effective for education on traditional culture. The assessment also said that the is organized in such a way that it facilitates the recreation of traditional culture and cultivates a sense of pride in students by helping them understand the value of tradition and participate in its reinterpretation through physical activities. The educational value of this study lies in the fact that it proposes a dance educational teaching plan that can promote the proper understanding of traditional Korean culture in this era of diverse cultures, and it provides preliminary information to stimulate education on traditional culture.
