Abstract

본 연구는 본인의 석사과정 졸업연주 프로그램인 W. A. Mozart의 『Fantasy in d minor, K.397』와 F. Schubert의 『Piano Sonata No.4 in a minor, D.537』와 C. Debussy의 『Images Book I』와 F. Chopin의 『Impromptu No.1 in A♭Major, Op.29』, 『Impromptu No.2 in F♯Major, Op.36』, 『Impromptu No.3 in G♭Major, Op.51』,『Fantasie-Impromptu No.4 in c♯minor, Op.66』에 대한 작품 해설이다. Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart(1756-1791)는 뛰어난 피아노 연주 실력을 가진 피아니스트이자, 오페라와 협주곡, 피아노 독주곡 등 다수의 작품을 작곡한 고전시대의 대표적인 작곡가이다. 그는 18개의 피아노 소나타와 24개의 변주곡 등의 다수의 건반음악 작품들을 작곡하였으며, 그의 건반음악 작품들은 극적인 요소와 균형 그리고 생동감을 갖고 있다. 그의 4개의 피아노 Fantasy 중, 『Fantasy in d minor, K.397』은 독립된 세 부분으로 이루어져 있다. 느린 부분의 서주를 시작으로 마디 선을 갖지 않는 짧은 카덴차부분을 특징으로 하며, 단조와 대비되는 장조의 조성과 음형의 사용으로 자유롭고 환상적인 표현을 나타낸 곡이다. Franz Peter Schubert(1797-1828)는 고전시대와 낭만시대 사이 과도기에 활동한 작곡가로서, 고전형식의 사용과 더불어 서정적인 선율과 색채감 있는 화성을 사용한 초기 낭만시대를 대표하는 작곡가이다. 그는 생애에 걸쳐 총 21개의 피아노 소나타를 작곡하였으며 주제적 변화를 통한 발전이 그의 소나타의 특징으로 나타난다. 『Piano Sonata No.4 in a minor, D.537』은 3악장으로 구성된 초기 피아노 소나타의 작품으로, 미완성 소나타를 많이 남긴 그가 처음으로 완성한 피아노 소나타이다. 주제의 반복, 대조되는 음형, 끊임없는 리듬의 연속성 등이 곡의 대표적인 특징이다. Claude Achille Debussy(1862-1918)는 20세기 초 파리의 인상주의를 이끌던 피아니스트이자, 피아노의 가능성을 확대시켜 사용하여 새로운 피아노 음악의 표현을 나타낸 작곡가이다. 『Images Book I』은 그의 인상주의 음악어법의 특징이 잘 드러난 곡으로, Ⅰ. ‘Reflets dans l‘Eau’(물의 비치는 그림자), II. ‘Hommage à Rameau’(라모를 찬양하여), III. ‘Mouvement’(움직임)의 3곡으로 구성되어 있다. 인상주의의 특징이 보이는 화성, 회화적인 표현, 온음계, 교회 선법, 페달의 효과적인 사용과 더불어 비루투오적인 성격이 잘 나타나는 곡이다. Frédéric Francois Chopin(1810-1849)은 폴란드 출생의 피아니스트이자, 다수의 피아노 작품들을 남겨 ‘피아노의 시인’이라는 칭호가 붙은 작곡가이다. 그는 춤곡을 비롯한 다양한 장르를 작곡하여, 독립적인 악곡으로서 그 범위와 규모를 확대시켰다. 그 중 즉흥곡Impromptu은 4개의 곡이 작곡되었으며, 4곡 모두 반복되는 앞, 뒤 주제와 중간부분이 대조를 이루는 3부 형식으로 구성되어 있고 자유로운 음형과 리듬을 사용하여 즉흥적인 표현을 나타내는 곡들이다.;This study explores pieces for my graduation performance, which include: 『Fantasy in d minor, K.397』 by W. A. Mozart, 『Piano Sonata No.4 in a minor, D.537』by F. Schubert, 『Images Book I』 by C. Debussy, and 『Impromptu No.1 in A♭Major, Op.29』, 『Impromptu No.2 in F♯Major, Op.36』, 『Impromptu No.3 in G♭Major, Op.51』 and 『Fantasie-Impromptu No.4 in c♯minor, Op.66』by F. Chopin. Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart was an exceptional pianist and a representative composer of the Classical era who produced numerous operas, concertos, and piano solos. 『Fantasy in d minor, K.397』, one of Mozart's four piano fantasies, is an independent piece for solo piano with three parts. It uses slow introduction, short and unbarred cadenza, and a motif which features sharp contrast between the major and minor keys, and gives the piece its carefree and fantastical vibe. Franz Peter Schubert(1797-1828) was a composer who wrote more than 600 musical pieces during the transitional phase between the Classical and the Romantic Era. He represents the Early Romantic Era with his use of classical expressions, lyrical melody and rich harmony. Throughout his life, he wrote 21 piano sonatas. The sonatas are distinctive in that they show progress through thematic variations. 『Piano Sonata No.4 in a minor, D.537』 is one of his early piano sonatas that consists of three movements. This complete piece of work is particularly meaningful for Schubert who left many sonatas unfinished. It is characterized by the repeating subject, contrasting figures, and the continuity of rhythm. Claude Achille Debussy(1862-1918) was a leading pianist of the Impressionist movement in early 20th century of Paris, and is responsible for a number of prominent piano compositions. Perhaps the best representation of his Impressionist musical style, 『Images Book I』is made up of three pieces:Ⅰ. Reflets dans l‘Eau, II. Hommage à Rameau and III. Mouvement. It is a virtuosic work characterized by the usage of Impressionist chords and picturesque expression, as well as its effective use of the diatonic scale, church modes, and pedal. Frédéric Francois Chopin(1810-1849) was a virtuoso pianist and composer of Polish descent who was named 'The Poet of the Piano' for his numerous piano compositions. His work spanned across a variety of genres including dance music and expanded its scope and scale as an independent musical piece. His Impromptu, in particular, is composed of four pieces, all of which are divided into three main segments: the beginning, middle, and end, and showcases Chopin's liberal use of motif and rhythm for more spontaneous expression.
