자기조절과 이성관계만족의 관계에서 관계친화행동의 매개효과

Abstract

본 연구는 이성교제 중인 미혼 남녀의 자기조절력이 이성관계만족에 영향을 미치는 과정에서 관계친화행동의 매개효과를 검정하고자 했다. 이를 위해 온라인 상에서 현재 연애 중인 20-30대 미혼 남녀 387명을 대상으로 자기조절력, 관계친화행동 이성관계만족 척도로 구성된 설문을 실시하고 자료를 수집하여 분석하였다. 연구 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 자기조절력이 높을수록 건설적인 관계친화행동을 자주 하였고, 파괴적인 형태의 관계친화행동은 덜 하였으며, 이는 높은 이성관계만족도와 관련이 있었다. 또한, 자기조절력과 이성관계만족 사이에서 직접적인 연관성은 나타나지 않아 자기조절을 잘하는 사람이 이성관계에서 만족감이 높은 이유는 이성 관계에서 발생하는 갈등을 잘 다루기 때문인 것으로 드러났다. 둘째, 부스트랩 절차를 이용하여 간접효과를 검정한 결과, 자기조절력이 관계친화행동을 경유하여 관계만족에 미치는 간접효과가 유의하게 나타났다. 특히, 파괴적인 관계친화행동이 건설적인 형태의 관계친화행동보다 더 큰 간접효과를 보였다. 이는 자기조절력이 이성관계만족감에 영향을 미칠 때 건설적인 행동보다는 파괴적인 행동을 하지 않는 것과 더 관련이 크다는 것을 시사한다. 마지막으로 본 연구의 의의, 제한점 및 추후 연구방향을 논의하였다.;The main objective of study was to identify the mediating role of accommodation in the relation between self-control and romantic relationship satisfaction. Data were collected using an online survey from 387 participants (170 men, 217 women). Result from the structural equation modeling indicates that: (1) high scores on self-control were positively correlated with constructive tendencies and negatively associated with destructive behaviors. Accommodative behaviors were associated with satisfaction in intimate relationship. (2) It was revealed that both accommodative behaviors significantly mediated the association between self-control and satisfaction in romantic relationship. Importantly, destructive actions had more impact on happiness in relationship than constructive actions. It means one's destructive actions and transgressions have more impact on contentment in relationship than constructive actions and prosocial acts. Implications of results, limitations and future directions are discussed.
