전문건설업체 맞춤형 성장 전략 수립을 위한 성장동인 및 지원요소 도출

Abstract

2000년대 중반 이후 지속된 건설업의 부진으로 전문건설업 역시 그 영향을 받고 있다. 하도급 물량의 증가와 종합건설업체의 하도급 비중 조절을 통한 리스크 관리의 영향으로 2000년대 후반까지는 전문건설업 시장이 성장세를 보여왔다. 그러나 장기적인 건설 시장의 침체로 인해 건설 수요의 감소와 종합건설업체의 하도급 비중 조절에 의한 리스크 관리가 한계에 다다르며 전문건설업 시장 역시 하강 국면을 맞이하게 되었다. 산업의 급격한 환경변화나 하강국면은 기업의 지속 가능한 성장과 존속에 있어 매우 중요한 시기이다. 시장규모의 축소 및 부정적 환경변화를 겪을 때, 기업의 경쟁력 우위가 판가름 나기 때문에 이러한 시기에 경쟁력에 대한 논의가 이루어지는 경우가 많다. 건설업 역시 경쟁력에 대한 논의가 활발히 이루어지고 있지만, 이러한 논의는 종합건설업체의 경쟁력에 대한 논의가 다수이며, 전문건설업의 경쟁력에 대한 논의는 많지 않은 실정이다. 이는 전문건설업은 직접시공의 주체로서 건설산업의 근간이라 할 수 있지만, 전문건설업체를 단순히 하도급 업체로 인식하고 있기 때문이다. 이에 본 연구에서는 건설산업의 시공 주체인 전문건설업의 기업특성을 살펴보고, 맞춤형 성장 전략을 도출하기 위해 경쟁력에 집중하여 살펴보았다. 경쟁력 관련 이론 및 선행연구 검토를 통해 전문건설업의 경쟁력 구성요인 및 경쟁력 강화를 위한 지원요소를 14개 항목씩 도출하였다. 도출된 항목으로 구성된 설문조사를 통해 전문건설업체가 판단하는 전문건설업의 경쟁력 구성요인 및 지원요소의 중요도 및 중요도 인식 차이를 조사하였으며, 설문조사 결과의 통계 분석을 수행 하였다. 또한, 설문조사 결과 통계 분석을 통해 기업규모와 주력업역을 전문건설업체의 기업특성을 세분화 하는 기준으로 제시하였으며, 도출한 기준을 바탕으로 전문건설업체 맞춤형 성장 전략 수립을 위한 성장 동인(Drive) 및 지원요소를 도출하였다.;Since The mid 2000s, the specialty construction industry has also declined due to the sustained depression of the construction industry. As sudden change in the environment or downturn in the industry heavily impact sustainability of company’s future growth and survival, discussions about the organization’s competitiveness within the market is normally accompanied at such time Despite active discussions on the competitiveness of construction industry, most of the discussions are focused on the competitiveness of general construction companies, rather than that of the specialty construction industry. Professional construction companies are merely treated as a subcontractor even though they form foundation of the construction industry as the subject of direct construction. Therefore, through this research, organizational traits of specialty contractors will be discussed, followed by the explanation on how they can focus on their competitiveness to derive a customized growth strategy. Through the study of related theories of competitiveness and prior research, 14 elements of both competitiveness factors and supporting elements were derived. In this research Statistical analysis was also conducted by investigating Perceived gap of importance and Perceived degree of importance of the components of the specialized construction industry's competitiveness in specialty contractors through a survey. Through analysis of the survey, size of the company and its main business were derived as criteria of segmentation based on the organizational traits of specialist construction companies. Based on the derived criteria, Customized growth driving factors and growth supporting factors of specialty contractors were derived.
