- Abstract
- A generous donor: A dinuclear octahedral bis(μ-hydrido)dinickel(II) complex (see picture; C gray, H black, N blue, Ni green) acts as an electron donor to reduce electron acceptors such as methyl viologen. The complex is proposed as a functional model for the dihydride intermediate of an NiRu hydrogenase mimic and, by extension, of [NiFe]hydrogenase itself. Copyright © 2011 WILEY-VCH Verlag GmbH & Co.
